This was so helpful. Thanks so much ❤
Do you have another way? I don't have a pole to lift the dress. And thank you
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me a repair dispatch cause I was able to do it myself thanks, Jean.
awesome! Doesn't it feel great to not have to take it in for a repair!
BEAUTIFUL. 😊😊❤
thanks!
I tried it again with the machine off of course. I rolled the large wheel until the front of my machine was in line. Then I turned it on again, still the noise. So I turned it off again and remembered what you said about a certain needle. So I turned the wheel back until I heard a tiny noise on one needle. I turned it back on and it was fixed. Thank you.
awesome! we did it!
Thank you so much. I have had this error for awhile. I tried that you said. But unfortunately the noise is still there. I am going to try again.
Thank you so much ❤️ I am getting married July 1 and using this to help me do a small alteration on my dress
Thank you for this great idea.
Glad you like it!
That is smart, opening up the side seam to get to avoid hand sewing!
I love this!!! I really love the checks!! But I can't find fabric placemats!!! I live in a small town!!! Lol!!😅
Perfect. I have these placemats and I never use them! I will have a purpose for them now
oh great! they are cute!
Is there a belt on that? I’m having the same problem but I can’t get the gear to turn all the way and move all the way to the right. I called my brother dealer and he told me there is supposed to be a belt on that
I don't think there was a belt because it's a gear that fits into the other gear wheel.
No part 2, eh?
I love your video, you make it look so easy.thank you.❤
This video is so good! Thank you for making this. I’m about to attempt this type of alteration this weekend on a similar dress. Do you have any recommendations on type of thread, which needle to use, and tension setting on the machine? (If this was mentioned in the video I totally missed it 😅)
Thank you so much for this video❤
Are there any changes to the sergers settings? Do you use all 4 threads? Do you use both needles or just one?
Thank you so much, this is very helpful!
I'm surprised this video has so few views - this is by far the simplest demonstration I've seen of this process so far. Thank you so much for sharing it.
I am 5’1” and can really relate to alterations, ha-ha. There weren’t really any petite pants when I was in high school, and even now, I occasionally find a pair of regular pants I like. I often need to shorten hems by 2” - 4” - it’s a lot to cut off!
Really like your vido, what kind of material you have for your straps?
how can I do this? is it a change in the machine program? many thanks
how much one can earn in this business?
It all depends on your area, your skill level, etc but you should be able to support yourself doing alterations.
This is the best decision I’ve ever made to start doing alterations
Thank you so much again this is my second time having to go back through the years and watch your video. I really appreciate this. I’ve been sewing a long time but sometimes I just get stumped on different projects so I really appreciate this video still being up.
Glad I could help. I have an alterations shop so I do this all day long. Reach out if you have other questions.
This is exactly what I’m doing to a bridesmaid dress, and your video was very helpful! Thank you!
Oh good glad i could help!
mine keeps rolling.. how do I make it so it doesn't roll the fabric on the edge?
That's easy but what about the ones with buttons.
I get this so often I have an older babylock it may need a new gear 🫣
Needed this info. Great job. Very clear. Made alteration easier for me. Thanks for sharing 1:48
Glad I could help!
Great work. Thank you.....❤
Worst video ever
Thank you!!!
Price kia ha
I assume you turn your cutting knife off?
Coverstitch doesn’t have a knife. You are thinking of a serger. They have different functions
hi what exactly did you do once you opened the side of the machine? did you just flip the gears up and down?
That's what I'm wondering also. How did you know it was properly lined up?
Ok I figured it out. My error message happened on needles 8,9,10. So when I got the root message I took a screwdriver and cranked the gear upwards until it rotated passed the 10’needle. Then it worked great
I would use sticky back.velcro
Gourges
This was so so helpful, absolutely the best!
Oh good glad I could help.
Wow so glad to see this. I always cut fabric off. Thank u !!
What if your fabric is very silky and stretchy? My machine wants to pucker in the middle.
Release the tension a little, and don’t pull the fabric. Guide it through.
This is the best video I watched on how to hem. Thank you so much.
thanks! glad it helped.
Thanks. Simple, but I really need to see a video on how to do it.
Thank you for posting this repair tip Katie!! I have a Brother PR-600 and your instructions worked for my machine as well. It saved me at $700 as that would have been what my dealer would have charged me, $500 just to look at it and likely $200 for the repair. I so appreciate you sharing your knowledge. :)
Oh good! My dealer gave me the instructions and miraculously I was able to fix it myself and figured I should share. I knew I couldn't be the only one this happed to.
Thank you.
Your video was great!!! You make it look so easy!! I haven’t used a sewing machine since jr high- wish me luck . I’m going to attempt this.
Oh good you can do it! Those jr. high skills will come right back to you.
Cute! I love needlepoint, but it’s so expensive! I try to paint my own canvas and finish when I can. And you’re right, there isn’t a lot of info on finishing. Kelly Stark Art has quite a few videos, which are very helpful. I’ll never be as good as her! Your video was good, and I loved your needlepoint pieces!
Great Video thanks so much
I love your videos. I want to make it soonest.❤❤❤. I want to see you monogram the bag, please.😊
One thing that’s terrible is when a instructional video is made but the person is unorganized and doesn’t walk through the steps properly
Thanks Karen for your comment.
Very helpful, thank you ❤😊
