Back again with another short workout and today it's an ab workout - only 5 minutes long. You don't need any equipment to do this workout so you can do it anywhere.

now i get why some women stay away from lifting and only do high reps low weight type of workouts like barre and pilates type exercises. i see all these women lifting weights and saying “weights don’t make women bulky” which is honestly not necessary true for some women including myself. i have been strength training only 2-3x a week and started feel insecure about the way i look since i gain muscle incredibly easily and i started looking like a muscular man which isn’t what i want to look like. i felt like i was forcing myself to lift weights because i saw other women doing it. i have taken a break from strength training and am trying new workouts that incorporate higher reps and lower weights like barre and pilates (it is honestly a lot harder than people think, i always get an insane burn), and i honestly love it so much more. i honestly still feel guilty that i don’t lift weights anymore. this just goes to show that lifting weights doesn’t work for all women and we should do workouts that work for ourselves rather than doing what we think we should be doing.
Weights never worked for my body type, I'd only bulk up but get no definition whatsoever, but high reps, little weight exercises give me what I want
@@mj-qc9be thank you so much for sharing! this makes me feel less alone. i thought i was the only few women that get bulky when i starting lifting moderate/heavy weights. when i tell people that, they say “women can’t get bulky” which is honestly my pet peeve
