- Sorry its been so long it is just so freaking cold out for me to be sitting on the concrete to work on it. It took me a few takes to get this in one take so I'm sorry if I sound boring in this one. Hopefully this helps and if it does this video did its justice.
Thanks For Watching - PTTM
Finally someone who put it in black and white about the EFI wiring to carb swap on a S10 pickup!!!!!!! Thank you very much. I want all the wiring gone that i dont need for this swap.
Thank you, if you have any questions just ask
Cool buddy i subscribe to your channel so will be looking forward to your build@@pedaltothemetal3871
This helped a ton, thanks for the info! Lots of digging online trying to find just what all I can chop out just so I have my lights, radio, etc.. functioning. Thanks for keeping it simple and to the point here!
Can’t thank you enough for this video and the one you made before this one about wiring!!!! Doing a carb 350 sbc swap on my 87 rn and you just saved me a bunch of time and potential headaches. Thank you so much
Thank you and no problem, if you run into any issues just reach out and I'll help out as much as I can
Appreciate you explaining this, good luck on your project !!
i really appreciate this video really needed some clarification
Thanks for this video. I am putting an LS in mine, but this all still applies👍
Nice job. Im at this point in my swap. Thanks again for the video.
thanks for the video i kinda guessed on mine because i couldn't find much info on it but it looks like i done it all correctly
Really appreciate this video
Thanks! I gotta get back working on it
Thank you so much! Get a heater out there so you can work on the s10 some more
Thanks man do you have any videos on wiring harness that runs down the frame toward fuel tank and lighting
What fuses did you pull to stop the ecm from getting any power
I have everything wired except the brake lights..I am at a loss on how to hook up 3rd and rear brake lights...I would appreciate any input on fixing this...Thanks
Hi is this wiring similar for the next generatiin s10? I have a 2003
In regards to the large pink wire, where would you run that on a ls swap stand-alone harness or would I even need to use that wire? Any help is appreciated
I have the slightest idea when it comes to an ls harness. Should be 12V in the key on position only, that's about all I know about it
I'm doing research to figure out how I can take a 4.3 out of a 1994 blazer and put it in my 92 S10. The problem is that the blazer is fuel injected, and my S10 is TBI.
Hey where did you get your ac delete heater box from
Mine was a factory non ac truck, are you looking for one?
So what do I need to keep if I want to run my factory fuel pump with the ignition.
I will be running an inline pressure regulator
You'll need to keep your oil pressure swith and everything related with that, should be a 3 or 4 wire system along with the relay for it
@@pedaltothemetal3871 and by everything related
What would that be lol
I like all of your videos. Just need to see you can show a video on the gasoline to the fuel regulator to the carburetor need help what gasoline goes where
I'll do what I can otherwise you'll have to run a regulator with a return port in it. I've seen them for sale on jegs a while back
@@pedaltothemetal3871 im at the stage for running fuel line under the truck and wire up engine bay. Thank you for the tips
Hey man did you get the pressure plate yet?
No I haven't, I've been working on another project and doing some flips to come up with some extra cash flow. Hopefully soon tho
Thanks for your video. Im at it. Wiring juction block. One to starter. One to alternator. Is what I think?
You got it, also run main harness to it too
@@pedaltothemetal3871 any chance make a diagram reverince point. The computer thing on the break fluid mount. Don't need. Right. All wires.
@@johnstamper5447 would that be abs control? I've yet to deal with one
@@pedaltothemetal3871 yes do i need the wire harness for it.
@@johnstamper5447 do plan on keeping the abs features?
How did you get the speedo to work
I went and used a autometer GPS speedometer. Couldn't figure out how to make the digital output trans with the cable cluster
If you want the speedo to work and you have a 700r4 you can get the electric unit off a 1992 model and but you have to swap the reluctor wheel ok the transmission, it's pressed on so you may have to swap output shafts to he honest
My 1985 Chevrolet v8 s 10 has a wiring issue
What's going on
@@pedaltothemetal3871 The previous owner did an engine swap from a 2.8 v6 motor to a Z28 iroc camaro motor and I think the wire harness needs updating because when I drive the truck it tends to break down. I’ve replaced the distributor and the battery and the timing is a little off.
@@ClassicMan3 does it just fall on its face under load or loose power and shut down?
@@pedaltothemetal3871 When I was driving it kept cutting off and loss of power and shuts down
@@ClassicMan3 carburated or efi?
Hello as you can see I posted a comment and you posted back that if I needed help to get back to you is there anyway we could visit on the phone about the wiring on my 85 s10 let me know Thank You
Your best bet is to send me a message on Facebook and we can chat back and forth that way. I really don't want to give out my number over CZcams
Ok well i am not on Facebook which I totally understand The problem that i have is my truck has idiot lights to and it also has AC it looks like some of those wires are going into the computor so im not sure what is going on there. I would like to just take the whole computor out of the the truck i am going to run the fuel pump on the block so i dont need the fuel pump in the tank which i have that part figure out the part i am not sure about is the AC which i want to keep. Thank you for getting back to me.@@pedaltothemetal3871
I would like to keep my stock TBI fuel pump and run a regulator
Make sure it allows to run a return line or your factory pump will burn out pretty quick from having too much resistance
