    Olly installs various small and easy parts on his Civic Type R EP3 to improve and replace some tired components. Starting with the Acuity Shift Bush kit that get rid of the old rubber OEM ones on top of the gearbox and replace them with higher quality materials to give a more direct feedback when changing gears. Next up is a new heat shield from Tegiwa to protect the intake air temps from getting too hot. The benefit to this is to sustain maximum power through the constant supply of cold air into the engine. After this, Acuity sent out a new gear knob and charm for some extra flare in the interior. The Poco gear knob sits lower on the gear stick which give you physically shorter throws. The final install sees a fresh carbon fibre scuttle air scoop added in place of a tired, sun damaged one. To round it out, there are two ride alongs in two different boosted F20 powered cars. First up is the HKS Supercharged S2000 making 400hp. Following that, the F20 Turbo Sierra XR4i is back on the channel to see what it is like on the road.

    you should invest in a UV resistant car cover for summers, will stop sun causing paint lacquer peeling headlight discolour and the carbon lacquer peeling like that

    Great vid - the Acuity bushings kit looks like a worthwile mod. Acuity have a CZcams vid with some install tips - its under the 'Install Tips' tab in the Acuity link to the product you posted. That supercharged S2000 is a beast with that amount of power. In the early EP3 days, one guy at one of our meets had the JRSC (Jackson Racing Super Charger) on his EP3, which made 300 bhp at the engine on the dyno that day. On the after dyno drive, it absolutely left us for dead in our EP3's with around 220 - 230 bhp (mapped tunes) on the dyno that day.
    Another good bit of Acuity kit is the TPS (throttle position sensor) that's worth doing if you have the throttle body of for cleaning or swap etc.

      Yeah, they are pretty nice and Acuity do indeed have the instructional video.
      The S2000 was unbelievable! Definitely the plan for mine!
      I can imagine that it flew off when you visited Mexico!
      The TPS was the first Acuity part I got. It is great!

    5:51 your subframe brace looks quite rusty, I replaced mine last year while fitting steering rack raiser and slider. I thought it was not that bad but it was rusted from inside to the point when it was removed it collapsed. Mine looked about the same as yours, something worth considering doing, it's only about 70 pounds at Tegiwa.

      I did actually ride in this car before getting the wheels changed. I think the Civic needed a lighter colour. At least for now anyway! I can always change it again in the future 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    I was wondering have you thought about getting a short shifter ? What are your thoughts on them ?

    • @OllyRoss
      @OllyRoss  Před 10 měsíci

      I have thought about it. I am currently happy with the small short shifter I have installed but it is something I am thinking of doing. Not sure if I will go for the the Hybrid Racing one but the Revo or the BuddyClub ones are tempting

    With the scuttle piece for the air box does it effect how you wash the car. I.e water getting in from the pressure washer?

    • @p1a9k9i6z
      @p1a9k9i6z Před 10 měsíci

      There is a drainage hole at bottom of airbox but I tend to avoid spraying directly into mine anyway

      I get my engine bay jet washed now and again and they get me to leave the engine running when they do it. Has never caused an issue so I wouldn't worry. If you've ever taken one of these apart, you'll see it's a cone filter inside the housing so no chance of water getting inside unless you actively tried to fill it up with water
