  • I decided to try the Cobra Freeway Bars instead of the Harley Engine Guard I used on my previous bike. I have no affiliation with Cobra. I recorded this with a new camera and mic setup, so apologies for the freeway noise in the background.

    BOUGHT MY ENGINE GUARD YESTERDAY FOR MY 2022 Harley Davidson Street Bob Custom and Man it looks beautiful on there!! Very easy Install under an hour! Had to go to Ace Hardware Store and buy two extra bolts, two washers for both ides of the mount. Thanks bro I knew it could be done! Now I am going to add Lower fairing 6.5 Speakers on the engine guard itself for audio! I will post once it's all complete.

    Do you know if there would be any issues mounting this or the Harley OEM crashbar with forward controls?

    Do think the V-Bend shape is better or the standard shape?

    It will fit the new FXLRST?!

    How much better do you think these will defend the bike against a lowside or a crash over the Harley standard one that you had?
    I'm trying to think of which crash bar to go with for a combo with the Bungking rear frame sliders.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety

      I think the Harley ones are slightly wider, but I switched to Cobra after my lowside caused the Harley bar to damage the frame on my Low Rider. The engine guard bent inward and took a chunk of metal out of my frame.

      @FranBunnyFFXII Před 3 lety +1

      @@KSSTUDIOS Wait it took a chunk out of your frame? How did the bike not get totaled by the insurance company? usually frame damage means totaled bike.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety

      @@FranBunnyFFXII It was mostly surface paint and a shallow mark into the bare metal of the frame. Not really a structural issue at this point, just a cosmetic one.

      @@KSSTUDIOS Ah. I'm really not sure what crashbar to buy.

      Unfortunately I had these tested the other day on gravel roads on my brand new fxlrs 😂 can say they fckn work a treat. Scratched underneath the brake pedal lever abit, scuff on the crash bar and light scuff on the underside of the oem heat shield on muffler. If it was on levelled tarmac it wouldve probably just been the brake pedal lever and engine guard only. Served its purpose, definitely rate it even though I never intended to but I now trust it wholeheartedly.

    Will they protect the handle bars from getting Damaged/Bent?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety +1

      No promises, it depends on the severity of the crash. I had a low speed crash and the engine guard protected the handlebars.

    The Street Bob sits low to the ground as is, do you have any issues cornering? Highway bar looks good

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah, it's a pretty low bike. I never had any issues with scraping pegs or anything but I don't push it too far.

    Can you add foot pegs to this bar with the way it angles down?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 2 lety +1

      Adjustable pegs should work for this kind of bar. As long as they are not rigid mounted where the angle cannot be changed.

    Looks good bro ! What is the price for that bar ??? I have the 2020 street bob also and need a crash bar as well but the cheap ones are too cheap and the good ones are too expensive expensive.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety

      The bar was $235 when I purchased it.

  • @TheJMan1K

    These seem slimmer than the default Harley crash bar. Are they actually tho?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 2 lety

      I think they are a bit thinner. Cobra states that the bar is 1.25 inch round and I believe the Harley one is 1.5 inch.
