    I like DK customs catch cans too though bit of a long wait to the UK. Nobody else makes one this side of the ocean to their standard, hence you dont see a lot of bikes fitted with a catch can over here. I did wonder about the clevis pin with the detent ball not being tensioned enough to retain the pegs in the up position, dynas came with a nut and bolt so you could stiffen up the action. Then you said you removed the pegs and only used them with your wife. Bit mute really as have the 2022 bob with the detent ball locking system, have to say preffered the original setup as less chance to become sloppy as have seen them that way.

      I really like the DK Custom parts. Very high quality with everything I’ve gotten so far. I think I have three of their products. But I do like the nut and bolt for tensioning as you described.

    Did the mini floorboards on the link come with Hardware and what size floor board on the link did you use thanks again

      The only thing they came with is the Allen wrench for adjusting them and the flat metal spring for adding a little side pressure. They’re approximately 4 1/2” x 2 3/4” and that link should be to the exact ones I grabbed with no options. Then I snagged the quick release pins from DK Custom.

    The best way to get rid of the plastic plugs is to take a really small flat head screwdriver and a small hammer. Tap the screwdriver into the center of the plug and then unscrew it.

      Hey Rich - thanks for sharing that technique!

    So in order to remove the pegs down the road all youd need is platic push pins to insert back into the threaded holes so they dont get filled with road grime?

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 2 lety

      Hey Noah - yep, that should do it. Mine came with the plastic plugs so maybe I can find them if I want to install them. Maybe!

    What solution did you use for adding passenger pegs to your bike? And what style footpegs do you prefer? "Classic" HD pegs or the new Milwaukee style pegs?

    Do you have any suggestions for passenger pegs when installing a 2 to 1 exhaust?

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před rokem

      Hey hilux1983 - hmmm…you may need some sort of offset bracket for the peg. I haven’t researched that but somebody has to make one?! Let me know if you find something.

    Can you tell me where you purchased the mini floor boards? Thanks

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 4 lety

      Definitely! I've only used these a couple of times so I can't render a solid opinion on them, but initial impressions are pretty good. Remember these are for the "traditional" style foot peg mounts, NOT the Milwaukee 8 style. I'll add this link to the video description as well: amzn.to/3fAU9vY

    Love your vids man I have a 2020 street bob, I’m def getting these. I wanted to ask how did the ride with the wife go? Was the ride good for her and did it bottom out and also did you have to adjust the shock for the added weight ? If so maybe you can do a vid on that but I’m curious on how having a passenger felt for the ride? Thanks man there is not that many vids on the street bob shockingly so I enjoy your vids and they’re very well made 👍🏼

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 3 lety

      Hey Barbermilton glad you found the channel! I didn’t adjust the shock and it seemed fine without bottoming out, but she’s only ridden with me a couple of times for short rides. She hates the pillion lol. May need to get one just for when she rides. Adjusting the shock is a great idea for a video topic so I’ll add it to the list. I did adjust my shock when I first got the bike but haven’t touched it since. I’ll also give you a teaser that I’m working on a rigid mod to make it a hard tail and play with the rear ride height. More on that later :) If you want a channel sticker send me a DM on Instagram with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop and send pics of the bike too!

    Great vid mate. What is the white paper looking material at the end of the peg bracket? Is it an insulation between the bracket and frame?

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 2 lety

      Hey Brett - thanks for the kind words! At what point in the video are you seeing that? There’s nothing between the bracket and the frame - maybe it’s just a glare from the lights? But send me the time in the video that you see it and I’ll double check.
      And if you want a sticker send me a DM on Telegram, Instagram or Signal with the mailing info @RonsWorkshop

      @@RonsWorkshop Hi Mate, my bad, it’s not shown in your vid, though others look to have vids show some type of white material at the end of the peg mount.. Maybe it’s something that comes shipped with the mount and it should be taken off? Anyway, keep up the great content

      Yeah mine didn’t have anything on them (that I can remember). They work great, that’s for sure! Cheers mate.

    I am trying to reinstall my original footpegs but can't figure out where the detent ball and spring go. Any idea ?

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 2 lety

      Hey fraserst1 - mine didn’t come with passenger pegs so I’m not sure what the original configuration is with the HD setup. Sorry I can’t help more with that.

      @@RonsWorkshop thanks Ron, sevice manual to the rescue. There's a recess in the peg for the sping and ball, just have to be carefull putting the mounting clip on.

    My pops wants me to get some passenger pegs for my 2020 fxst so he can take my stepmom for a ride, any suggestions for ones to fit that? I’m looking around and looking at the bike and can’t find any to order that are guaranteed to fit

    • @RonsWorkshop
      @RonsWorkshop  Před 3 lety

      Hey Brian - if he has the DK kit he should be able to use any standard Harley-compatible pegs. He’d just want to stay away from the M8 style pegs.

    • @RonsWorkshop

      Hey Wicked Chivo - which part? There are notches in the ends of the mounts where the foot pegs attach.
