DIY Paludarium with Foggy Waterfall

- In this one I set up another DIY Paludarium, complete with a mist/fog maker and a waterfall. The tank measures 17.5x12x12" (12" in the back and 7.5" in the front to be specific). It also holds about 6 gallons of water. I think it turned out really well considering that I didn't have much to work with.
As I explained in the video I wanted to keep it simple below the waterline and complex above. I wanted to keep as much of the stone visible as possible, while also maximizing the space for some critters. Hopefully I can stock it soon, but I can't at the moment. I really think you're going to like my plans.
Anyway let me know what you thought about the finished design!

I hope you all enjoyed this one - just a quick Saturday project! I can't wait to show you some of the other things I'm working on as well. I've been keeping busy and doing A LOT behind the scenes. More on that in the future though. Anyway I hope all of you are doing well! 🐸
Did you ever think to put in creatures such as a small frog?
As always I enjoy all your videos I really look forward to Saturdays just to see them. You have really inspired me a lot. I just wish I had your talent LOL
I love your videos , my mom and I have been growing plants and making terrariums. THANK YOU TANNER

SerpaDesign you are awesome!! Your knowledge is on point 😃 do you ship boxes with mix moss?
i wouldnt mind seeing more projects with the fog/mist maker
Me too
same i love the mist aesthetic
SerpaDesign: Wish I Had More Variety
Me: Literally Has A Plastic Bowl, Mulch From My Garden, And Weeds.
So true, lol
Aaron Sadowski they are only weeds if they are unwanted 😌
Right? I have 4 kinds of miss I collected and 3 plants I just bought, none as cool as his
That is everything I use lol
When my wife found out I watch SerpaDesign she bought me a tiny terrarium kit for Bday. It has some hardscape elements, false bottom elements and some soil.
Nuff said I planted it with whatever I could find in the park and streets nearby :D some random weeds and moss. And later on a random bit of grass started growing as well, unexpectedly :D
And I bought some springtails and isopods for it.
why did i read this as "froggy waterfall" and didn't question it at all
This has happened to me before in other channels
same lmao
😁🥰
Lol!
Reverse typoglycemia/dyslexia/froggophilia
I can never comprehend how you can make random pieces off wood and stones fit together so well, like they were made for one another! Amazing skills.
I have a SerpaDesign inspired project currently underway, it feels all kinds of exciting...
Heyy, I just finished mine! :D
Fog makes already awesome looking designs look even more awesome.
It’s insane how he takes every texture into consideration
You can tell he loves his craft because every little detail is perfected
When all this is over it would be awesome to get a video about where you normally get all your plants/woods/rocks. The variety of materials you always have is awesome to see.
Me: maybe I cou. My wallet: no no no
mjmichaelhu sounds like me
This is me
Okay, this is definitly my favoroute build.
The Bob Ross of Moss.
Love the super Sonic mister thing. Gives a calm tranquil touch to it. And once again the contrast between the top and bottom where the bottom is simple and open and the top is complex and wild.
1:22 wow look at that snake move!
This was posted a while ago, but it was incredibly satisfying to watch the snake move in the background.
I've spent days trying to set up a new tank for my betta. I ruined one aquarium and had to get another one. I kept thinking, that guy on CZcams makes them look so magical and effortless. I wish I had your talent.
You really love your craft and it shines through in everything you make.
I love your videos!
My two favourite Terrarium CZcamsrs! We just need Life in Jars? And we'd have the trifecta!
I'm just in love with your designs! So happy to see this new one, even though you say is a short term one, i think the balance and creativity of the environment is one of the best, at least one of my favorites! Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us!
This is the best paludarium i have seen on you tube
I really love how you show cased the stone, it is very unique looking!
And I appreciate that you are showing us how you (and we could) work without silicone and expanding foam.
he did silicone..
this video is underrated
You keep getting better and better. Can't wait to see the 350 gallon tank
Tan the man at it again, and once again not one drop of disappointment. This in fact is one of my favorite builds you have done so far. Awesome work man, thank for sharing!
Always a fan of anchor catfish in a setup like this!!
Wow, incredible. Work of art, but on another level because it's a living environment.
I can watch this video all day without getting bored.

I just made a really awesome moss terrarium today thanks to you serpa design👍👍🌱
There's nothing else at the same level of production quality and sheer artistry like SerpaDesign on CZcams. I even watched the ones with snakes despite a phobia of them, that's how much I love this stuff :)
The time lapse forward of the snake crawling through the cage was pretty intense
I'm obsessed with your content after my brother showed me your channel
Dude how do u made it look so easy i just love how u make it without any anger just love it! I hope averyone is having a great day!
If he got angry while working, you'd never know it. Also lots of practice helps.
I agree...and as time has passed, his skills still far exceed anything I "thot" I was gonna watch! ;)
Tanner - I’d really like to see some of your biggest fails (eg. tank leaks or major failures, materials gone wrong, etc.) and the lessons you’ve learned. I’m guessing you may not have footage of when things go wrong but as someone who’s interested in getting into this hobby, I think it would be helpful.
I know you often mention tips and tricks during your videos but I’m curious to hear about your biggest failures and lessons learned nonetheless.
Thanks in advance.
The way you say süßwassertang is so funny :D (i'm German)
thaaaaaanks Tanner, I'm binge watching ur videos :)
Lovely scape .
Beautifully composed , as usual.
this might be my favorite one yet!
I stumbled on to your channel. Great work. I think I would LOVE your videos without narration!! The video quality is so good you don't need words!! With beautiful music, it would be so ZEN!
I would like to see an upgrade of the snake tank. Making it like his natural habitat
Possibly unpopular opinion @4:37. Rocks alone give off the impression of a cliff. This was a great opportunity to use small patches of moss for emphasizing the scale of the rocks by impressions of grass and trees.
Mate, you are all talent! Another beauty!
The fog is my favorite!
I like the foggy pond look. it is great too all the reuse of material
What a lovely sticker!
Another Fantastic build....
Always informative....
Thanks Tanner...👍
Some German Blue Rams would be beautiful in that tank, it would as an element of excitement. Or perhaps one Farewella and a few Corys. Neon Tetras would also look great.
You are a wonderful artist. This project was so beautiful.
This Paludarium is so great🌱😍
Man you make it all look so easy. I wish I could do this
I'm always blown away by how you manage to take simple/limited materials and make it look so natural and ethereal. Another stunning build, Tanner!
So perfect. As always. Really smart idea not to silcone/foam the rocks down.
I really like your videos and projects, I would like you to show those projects after a month or six months, thanks.
i have to say that that is the most active Snake (in the background) i have ever seeing ;-)
I am so captivated and inspired by these videos! Thank you! Keep it up!
amazing! The way install the equipment is awesomely neat. The fog effect isn't too thick nor too thin. It's perfect.
A quick easy project for any novice to do. Proceeds to build the tank from scratch.😀. Gorgeous tank by the way.
Thank you for adding the common names of the plants :) I love your videos, but i usually get confused by the scientific names of the plants.
Nice! Love the fog. It definitely brings ambience to the layout. I really like the rocks too. The colours and textures look awesome. Thanks for sharing
Finished product=Superb
This is the best paludarium i have seen on you tube can’t believe how simple and realistic it is
Love the fog
You are so Talented!!!! This one is gorgeous too!!!!
It seems like every build you do is my new favorite. I love this, I have to do something with my 55 gallon tank.
Btw, what you’re calling ‘knitting mesh’ has nothing to do with knitting and the real name is ‘plastic canvas’. It is used to do needlepoint on.
Are you going to add any fish?
Awesome as always😍
Another masterpiece! Love it! 😍👍🏻💚
Beautiful!
Wow.. I love your videos and this is no exception. Simply stunning.
So beautiful Tanner. The plants were gorgeous. And I love the snails so much!
Beautiful! 💚
Amazing build keep up the good work.
Another Amazing design! Can't wait to see it fully Developed!
OUTSTANDING!
You should start a business and sell custom pieces like this. Honestly I think you would make a lot of money with this talent 💚
The the rocks, very cool
Beautiful - I wish I could make something as stunning as you!
Beautiful!!! 🌸
Awesome job.
This is definitely one of your best scapes that I've seen!! The mist is cool but isn't even needed to make it this good. Congratulations on pulling this off!! :)
The fog/mist maker adds an extremely cool effect to the waterfall!
And, like always, your build is beautiful and gorgeous as ever!!
looking amazing
Thanks for inspiring me to make a palidarium
Looks beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These videos are so relaxing!!
Love the fogger, it really kicks the setup over the top.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful stone.
Beautifully peaceful...
Beautiful Tanner!
I think this one is by far my favorite! thanks for sharing your work!
So this is what youTube recommends to me at 5:03 am on a binge, interesting none the less
This is awesome, man! It’s always good to try something new, you may find a better way to achieve your desired effect. Keep up the good work!
Yay! Its Saturday and Serpadesign to the rescue with another life inspiring paludarium build! Love this one!!
great use of that stone, I love how it looks almost like cliffs
This looks AMAZING
as always looks great
I really admire your work! Keep it up! I always enjoy your builds!
Love your stuff!
Always so inspiring. Thanks again
This is one of my favorite designs yet. I love the verticality of the rocks, and the contrast of the underwater and above water views of them, with the mist marking the change. I think it worked out really well to have almost all of the plants above water, further distinguishing the two different worlds.
So clean, good job.👍
