      Hmmm, I wonder why/how the aluminum resonator could have opposite the desired result. Did you see the new video on clocking the turbo??? I don't think we checked that on your van and we should have. It is a fairly easy test and not a hard adjustment if one is needed.

    Hey bro I have 2004 Mercedes freightliner 2500 over 250k miles on it started going on limp mode a few days ago not sure why. No lights on dashboard no check engine light. Im having the shift gear selector get replaced here shortly. Do you think that will fix the problem of it being on limp mode. This started happening after taken apart the shift gear selector thats already on there

    • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't think there is anything in the shifter handle module that will set limp mode, so probably unrelated. Limp mode always leaves a code and usually leaves a dash engine light. If you don't have a code reader get one that works, like the AP200 linked at floridavanman.com/links/

    I am working on a 2005 sprinter I just put new from mercades map and boost pressure sensors and it would not start till I unplugged the boost pressure sensor. Can u help? Codes were 0069 then 0106 now boost pressure sensor because I have 2 unplug it. Oh I used 2 boost sensors. What is the difference in the 2 sensors?

    • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 3 lety

      I suspect you are confusing MAP & MAF. I've not heard of a MAP sensor preventing start or causing a stall, but a bad MAF can cause no-start or start-stall. If you replaced the small sensor on the air filter (MAP) and the similar sensor on the other side of the intercooler (Boost pressure sensor), I suspect your MAF is the culprit. The sensor you are unplugging... How many wires go to it?

    • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 3 lety

      @@totallytame2557 Wow, you are really messing with the computer adding rheostats. This can be more complicated than the surface. Adapting the values at the MAP sensor might suggest the MAP is a problem, while we are really just adapting it to agree with the failing part.

    • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 3 lety

      If it is in limp mode... it has an issue. It is rare for limp mode without a fault code, so my first question is what code reader are you using? Does the reader have "Sprinter" in the menu? Next thing I would look at is testing the MAF as seen in one of my videos because the T21 recall is all about MAF issues not triggering the engine light.

      As far as I know, check engine light means you DO have a code. Codes are what triggers the engine light to be lit, so either your reader is incompatible with your van or you are not selecting the correct menu options. We have links to a scanner that will read the codes and a video helping ensure you make the right selections in the AP200. It is the best $60 you will ever spend on your van. • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 3 lety

      @@branislavpolacik387 Your 2002 will not have a pump in the tank. Your low pressure pump is on the front of the engine, just above the high pressure pump. There is one horizontal return line that may have an air bubble without causing a problem. But if you have air in any of the other clear lines, that air leak is probably your issue. Adding a small electric pump from an auto parts store may help find the leak by pushing fuel out where air is getting in. Some people have put an electric pump to prime the system before starting.

      @FloridaVanMan  Před 3 lety

      @@branislavpolacik387 The relays under the front edge of seat serve the electric locks, windows, rear window defrosters, factory installed roof fans and interior lights. The location of each relay depends on what options your van had when new, so there is no chart available. Trial and error is the only way I know to figure out which one goes where. Touching the relays while having someone push buttons might narrow down a few of them. You can usually feel them click when triggered, but a volt meter and lot of patience is the only way I know to really sort it out. If you suspect the relay is causing a certain problem, move every relay to the left and see if the problem is solved. Something else may soon start acting strange, wipers, daytime running lights... so many options can depend on relays. Rather than try to identify the bad relay I would be tempted to just replace them all. Only after proving one relay is a problem by moving the problem to a different system. New and used relays are available on eBay or I can gather a few from my parts vans for you. Thank you for supporting the channel. • @FloridaVanMan
      @FloridaVanMan  Před 2 lety

      If the van/car is in limp mode and the meter is not showing any code, the meter is not setup correctly. Limp mode is a self-protective mode and the van only does this when there is a sensor telling the ECM of a problem. Limp mode is a response to specific codes. What meter are you using?
