Americans should just take caffeine pills if they don't actually like coffee. They wouldn't need to worry about spilling a gigantic thermos on themselves while trying to commute an hour to work or going about their day. There is no real coffee culture here because of our weird habits.

In 2018, Starbucks opened its first store in Italy, a 25,000-square-foot roastery in Milan. (ROME LOCATION OPENED - Thursday, April 07, 2022 ) Despite being inspired by Italian coffeehouse culture, the American chain faced resistance when entering the country.
It took Starbucks 47 years to open a shop in Italy. Italians take their coffee culture very seriously - it’s filled with traditions, customs, and rituals. It’s common to order an espresso, quickly drink it at the counter while chatting with your barista, and leave - contrary to Starbucks shops, where customers may sit for a while to work on their laptops.
When Starbucks announced its formal plans to open in Milan, some local residents disapproved, and a few protesters set fire to a cluster of the palm trees Starbucks had planted in the Piazza del Duomo.

The old couple at the café by my apartment probably thought I was deranged. They usually just patted my head and gave me pastries I was not allowed to pay for. 3:07 - Love the way he says "It's me"
Any doubt of his Italian authenticity has been assuaged

I like that they don't fuss over to go coffee as much as we do in the US, it seems a lot less wasteful. And Starbucks is awful. Lol, please don't come for me! I have pals who go there multiple times a day, every day and I don't get it!! I love Matteo, his channel is more addictive than caffeine 🥰

Wow I was checking out Matteo's tour dates in Toronto for February and they're basically all sold out, and its a big venue. Awesome for him but sucks for me looking for tickets haha
