I usually cringe at crowd-work but this was hilarious, he’s SO good with off the cuff humor, it’s hard to be able to deliver comedy off the cuff AND prewritten sets & he keeps me rollin’
You probably usually cringe at crowd work because a lot of comedians that try to do crowd work really aren't that good at crowd work. Mateo, on the other hand, is a fucking natural at this shit. You can honestly kind of tell that a lot of comedians are really just natural storytellers that know how to make a story funny. Most people don't really tell a whole lot of jokes anymore. So it's really just your ability to sort of improv and riff off of what the audience is feeding you rather than scripting a set ahead of time. And not all comedy is improv comedy! I'm sure there are a lot of successful professional comedians that probably aren't that great at crowd work either.
Matt rife is funny with crowd work too, but people like Jessica kirson I just don't find it all that great. Evety comedian is different though and they all have specials for a reason

@@NightMedicine It's not because you laugh at a video that deoression is cured. Depression is not a little down 'cause you got chewed out at work or something, it's a literal chemical imbalance in the brain. Some hormones or neurotransmitters aren't produced or absorbed properly.
So yes, I'm on medication and it greatly helps, but no, as fun as he is to watch, Matteo won't cure me of depression.

I love how, with each question, you can see the progression from, "This is interesting, tell me more", to, "Oh God, what have I gotten myself in to?"
It's pretty rare to see a comedian that can rely on their improv for such a long period of time. That is both a skill and a talent.

This guy might be the funniest comedian, who can crowd work, his whole set he doesn’t even have to write jokes. He just walks in and works the crowd. Amazing. I hope I get a chance to see this guy live sometime I’m all the way out here in California hopefully show will come along because this guy just nails it.
