  • I Reload 300 Weatherby Magnum with 200 grain Hornady ELD-X Bullets using IMR 7828 SSC Powder. I use my RCBS Rockchucker and my RCBS Competition seating Die and A Lee factory crimp die with the help of my Hornady electronic Powder Dispenser and then check the run out with my Hornady concentricity tool. This Ammo turned out awesome.

    For the Weatherby Mark 5 in 300 Wby mag I own I regularly load 180 grain Barns TSX using 91 grains of IMR 7828 for a velocity of 3350 FPS.
    Noise and recoil are horrendous but gets the job done.

    When cleaning your powder drop out before switching to a different powder. Do you clean it with alcohol, or just use a brush?

      MrAwesome glock .. Most of the time I use alcohol on the hopper and I use my Air Compressor to blow it out real good. I plan on doing a video on how I set it up and how it throws different powder types plus clean it after use. That video should be really soon. Thanks for commenting.

      MrAwesome glock ... I use alcohol and then blow it out really good with my air compressor. My next video I’ll clean it on camera. Thx for watching.

    Why use large rifle primers? Why not a magnum primer?

    • @reloadingwithjohnnyray-bac8775
      @reloadingwithjohnnyray-bac8775  Před 6 lety +1

      Skolinn I usually use Federal 215 Magnum primers because in my Hornady loading manual that’s what they list but I didn’t have any that’s why I used the Remington’s. I figure if your shooting this Powder in the summer it probably won’t make a difference but in the winter it might need a Magnum to light that much powder.

    Can you tell me everything you use in this video. Give me links or tell me the specific names on everything,

      Kyle Vandale .. I use a RCBS Rockchucker with RCBS competition seating Die to seat my bullets. I actually use a Lee full length sizing Die and a Lee Neck sizing Die to make sure my brass was the right size and shape. Then of course I flare with a Lee universal flaring Die and I crimp with a Lee factory crimping Die. Sometimes I leave out a few steps so my videos don’t run to long but my last two videos I showed every step so if you watch them you will get the process for getting my brass right and building my Ammo. I used Hornady ELD-X 200 grain bullets with SSC 7828 Powder plus I used Remington primers. My Case Prep center is made by Lyman. I use a Hornady Auto charge Dispenser to throw my Powder. I bought brand new Hornady brass. Thx for watching my vids. Hope this answers your questions

    “It’s important to get the exact amount of powder in each round “ wait let me pour this powder back in the hopper that didn’t go in the last one lol 4:58
