I TRULY appreciate you spending the time doing this video BUT if any new people are watching PLEASE DO NOT RELOAD THIS WAY.No need to flare rifle brass or run the brass thru a short base die and I am only 10 minutes into the video.

I don’t see the manual using a magnum primer. Does it affect the load dramatically?

Paul Paretta I think if you use max charges and shortest overall case length it might lead to trouble other than that switching between magnum primers and standard won’t make much difference. Thx for watching.

@@reloadingwithjohnnyray-bac8775 i watched your video and yes the manual calls for wlr primer not a magnum primer! in my 25 years of reloading experience if you use a magnum primer where a standard is called for you can do it safely if you reduce your powder charge by 10 percent! Happy loading

    Lube your cases

Hey Johnny Ray, Thanks for the tip on the Lyman case prep with the Lee trim attachment...Works great!...Why are you using Magnum LR primers?

Do you ever have any fail to fire primers? I always heard you should not handle rifle primers by hand, something to do with the oils on our skin. I handle 209 shotgun primers but was informed you shouldn't handle rifle primers. Just my two cents worth.

Luke McMullin I’ve heard that a lot and if I was Shooting Competition or if I paid for a big guided Hunt then I oils us my hand primer but if I’m just loading for hunting around the house I usually just prime of the bench. Thx for watching.
