His face at how much butter I used for my version was BETTER than I could have hoped 😂
Great video, cant wait for the pizza one.
Also I had watched yours soon as it came out, it was recommended yestetday I believe. Debunking the anti-reactors.
Great video, can't wait for the pizza one.
That face was pure gold indeed haha :D btw, your version of the AsmonSteak looked amazing!
Great video, can't wait for the pizza one.
Thank you for recognizing the satire in my ending YES!!!!
Legend
❤❤❤❤
You have to do a collab and let him try your steak now.
Lets go
I love that you leave multiple reactions to diff points of the video lol
Asmongold is a genius. Just ONE steak video he made has created hours of content
No y’all are just stupid 😂
Yep lol so we in Aspen gold Steak video 2 ? 😂 World Meme number two in Coming.
yah, he is a genius at everything about how to cook anything good
And not only for himself, for other people as well
That is because Asmon's existing renown works like an amplifier.
Ending was so sad. "The man made a steak. Ive seen a lot of steaks in my time, that was definitely one of them.", RIP asmon, never forget.
fly high bald man.
As for mine not sticking, the oil on the steak helps, also hot pan to sear the steak quickly. Hope that helps 😊
The food releases when it's ready. Love the vid and your back and forth!
O
This is a Hexclad non-sticking pan in the video which is able to handle metal utensils. it costs ~$200
It's one of the simplest, ancient version of food but here we are, all have a certain way of cooking it. Love it. For me, I'd prefer it when it's close to raw.
Put it on a hot pan, both sides, 20 sec. Take the meat off the pan. Put butter to the pan, then put the meat back on, salt + black pepper each side 20sec more. Done.
Yeah, he overlooked the truffle oil already on the steak (which he could substitute with Olive oil). Also, Hexclads are beasts. Asmon will not buy a Hexclad 🤣, so the oil would be his best bet.
Asmon accepts someones version of his steak... The Impossible has been done
The world is healing 👀
Not with those chemicals
@@DonLopez2 what are you talking about??
@@pirig-gal asmon doesn't like teflon pans because of "chemicals and shit"
I love how he was super okay with people doing stuff well done, some people are just taught to do things that way, also would love to see Asmon actually try to do a Steak that way!
It's just sad though, as someone who grew up eating "well done" steaks and then growing up and learning to make my own steaks the better way, it's so much better when you get that medium rare and have the flavorful juices.
@@TheOnlyGhxst Ive had a very similar experience
@@TheOnlyGhxst if I want to eat steak sauce and a cheap steak I eat well done but if its a good steak ill do medium rare but im a huge jerky fan and well done with steak sauce reminds me of jerky
@@crispylizard4348 Exactly. Like I'm not trusting "Steak" I managed to get for 2 bucks to be sanitary to run a bit raw. It's getting treated like store bought ground beef.
i mean have you seen asmons house? i wouldnt eat anything other than fully cooked in that house lol
This man has probably made over $100k off of a video of him cooking a $2 steak
It is, what it is, good content pay itself really fast, the rest is a win. Kinda amazing how hollywood now-a-day pump money into marketing over a well big mountain of money to still with loss. LOL
dude when you think you get 100k from a few million clicks you're almost as delusional as asmon and his cooking
@@100100freak depending on his CPM, the views of all of his reactions + the original video could’ve easily made over $200k. The CPM per mil views can be either $0 or up to $25k depending on the channel.
This is making me want Asmongold to host a Master Chef kind of show with a bunch of these youtubers/streamers who do cooking content as the competitors. Would be neat to see them try and cook what they think Asmongold would enjoy, as opposed to the typical michelin star styled foods.
❤Yes!
And they’d be graded on not just taste, but overall efficiency to
I would watch that for sure.
Get @QTCinderella in here
This.....please.....🙏
All these vids about steak are making me want one! A like a nice NY strip with just salt and freshly cracked pepper. I like nice big coarse bits of pepper for extra heat, and of course some browned butter and crushed garlic and a sprig of fresh thyme. I guess I just use Gordon Ramsay's recipe? Never had a bad steak using his method.
Hi Jon, hope you are doing well brother. Love the drumming vids.
Try out a hamburg steak with red wine mushroom sauce. Or a chop steak :)
Honestly I've had amazing results from using America's Test Kitchen's method of cold sear instead of the messy method of sear and oven.
@@jordanlutz8307lol
Yeah, just NEVER try Asmon's poor excuse for a steak.
"undercooked" bro that beef is nuked lmfao
I love this whole back and forth with you and this guy, waiting for the collab
This is a treasure. 2 dudes makes steaks, not judging eachother at all. Gods work 😂
Our daddy taught us not to be ashamed of our meat.
You two should definitely do a cooking stream together.
Could be EPIC 😂
You're expecting way too much out of Asmon, he's a hobo that has mirculously gotten famous.
He should get wagu beef or something very fatty high end too.
This 'chef' doesn't even know about the 'stove on top of stove' pizza method, he needs a few more years of culinary school
Have you seen asmon being around real people?! He’s not made to be social 😂
"A bit undercooked." "I only eat dry foods." "What are you eating the fat for?!" Asmongold is a man who knows how to _not_ enjoy a steak. 🤣
power to him to like it that way, BUT I AM gonna judge this man for liking steak without the flavor.
He don't like steaks. He like beef jerky.
The friendship and bond made between these two men over steaks is incredible
Bruh, the steak thing blew up way harder than it should have by all rights. XD Low key I kind of want to see Asmon explore cooking.
same
Mateeee his body would shut down if he ate proper food
He did a pizza video
@cortanis001 he did a pizza video as well.
Actully love this guy, been watching him since his first reaction to your steak video
He loves asmongold, I love him too
"a little bit under cooked"
That was severely overcooked.
Asmon eats his steak extra well done
This indirect back and forth between the two of you is really wholesome, brightened my day
Oh my gosh Asmon’s face when the guy adding all the butter and then his face at the pink, I was crying from laughing so hard 😂😂😂
Same!
I can't stop watching asmgold doing these extra takes on his amazing cooking videos
Lmao "a little bit under cook" ain't no wayy😂
As an Englishman, hearing Asmon saying Worcestershire sauce correctly makes me proud
Completely agree.
He's educated and he tries. That's better than 99% of the population.
@@stigolumpy For you to make that statement I'd be willing to bet money you have a similar level of "education" to Asmon kek
Same here lol
@@Jorpando Me? Certainly not! I'm trying to imply he's clearly clever and puts in effort.
It's Wooster sauce
You have to make a meal together. This would be the collab of ages.
I agree!
This was epic! I want to see a montage of all the videos and reactions. This would be great to watch!
can you guys please just meet up and have each others steaks in person? its the finale we all need.
The only gaming streamer who has taught me about steaks, for months.
I bet the great reset guys are furious for the publicity of Asmons steaks.
R.I.P. Thick44
Thick 44. "Don't use that vargin oil. We use that slutty oil here."
bruh if you think you've learned anything about steaks from this absolute caveman then you're mad wrong bruv
How much content can a man create from a $2 steak? This is incredible
Glad to see more content between these two
I like how respectful he is towards people and their differnt taste. Respect
Getting a good pan is a game changer when it comes to cooking
Asmon, Hexclad doesn't have a chemical coating. It just uses dual layers of metal, combining cast iron with nonstick. The hexagonal etching in it creates the nonstick surface. Basically you season the pan every six months or so by wiping vegetable oil around in it, and letting it sit on medium heat for three minutes. The oil then gets cooked into the tiny grooves, allowing the pan to be used without food sticking. It also resists scratching, allowing metal utensils to be used with it... Either way, no chemicals.
Pretty sure the inside of it is still chemical nonstick the idea is it just doesn't contact food or get scraped off because the pattern. At least that was my understanding
14:06 to add on, the steak got some grease from the fat that melts which helps with nonstick
The steak saga continues, and I'm all here for it.
I like to think that Asmon's cooking videos going around is a much better thing than people might realise because they will eventually reach people that know how to cook and they will come up with small ways to improve Asmon's caveman way of cooking, which will then prompt Asmon to not only eat better food, but make more cooking content, creating a never-ending cycle.
I'm ready for an April Fools episode of Bon Appetit's Chris Morroco doing his blindfolded "Recreation" with an Asmongold $2 steak.
Thats a good point man
No way. Asmon isn't going to change anything. That's how he is. It's why he's living exactly the same way he was before he became a millionaire. I'd bet $100 Asmon won't take a single tip from this video despite the fact he seems open to trying it out.
He's not going to change his eating habits, have you seen him try fresh fruit. The mans pallet is broken.
@@TheRezignator True. He’ll probably wind up on the cheapest multivitamins produced in all of Cambodia.
high five for reacting to this guy, you can tell he's a big fan for all the right reasons.
To make it more tender, Id suggest using a fork to poke holes in the meat, then salting it for 1-2 hours to tenderizie the meat and also let the flavor go towards the center. This usually makes cheaper cuts feel more premium (dry brine)
I think these two should do a cook off show together. Get guests on to try each others foods etc etc. Would be amazing! Or at least do CZcams cook swaps... Asmon tries cooking Beergrs, Beergr tries cooking Asmons.
We need a video where Asmond gets a bunch of the people who cooked his steaks and be a judge in a cookoff.
8 months of content so far and probably more to come, truly a master at his craft
I'd like to see Asmon cook the next stake the same way this guy proposed with garlic, butter and trufle oil
I always had well done steak, but cooked it medium by accident and just decided on a whim to try it. Literally blew my mind lmao, never looked back
One of my coworkers only ate steak well done. 6 of us ended up renting a house together and one 4th of July I bought a bunch of steaks for us all and made them the classic way, medium rare & salted. After that, dude ain't ever order a well done steak in his life again 😂
Since butter has a low smoke point you don't want to put it in from the start, you want to use a very small amount of a high smoke point oil to sear a nice crust onto the steak then add the butter.
I love this guy, his reaction to your steak was great.
I'm newer to watching your videos.. I like it. Blue collar man
13:46 - He's using a special (expensive) fry-pan with an anti-stick coating which allows metal utensils to be used without damaging the coating.
Azmon going to the store to buy truff oil.... now thats a reaction i wanna see when he sees the price of it lmfao
I was so looking forward for this! You guys have to cook together! We need that!
Super hot skillet, a pinch of oil that won't burn at high temp, a piece of butter, .....the oil will prevent the butter browning so rapidly.
/Add steak to screaming-hot skillet with above liquid fats, Sear, flip, sear, remove and rest covered 10-15 minutes.
Pour off excess cooking fat, develop sauce of choice if desired, add steak back in to skillet and warm to 140℉ max, serve forth and enjoy.
The red fluid that comes out of a raw steak against common misconception, is NOT blood. It's a protein rich fluid that runs throughout muscle tissue.
It is not dangerous or unhealthy to consume, and very rich in flavor when prepared correctly.
I've never seen a man more in love with anything, than Asmon watching people eat his steaks.
A version 2 video of the original, in which you cook it this way would be amazing :)
steak was beyond medium before that butter melted xDD
Now I'm convinced asmongold died after eating that steak. Now he's been replaced with asmonai
"The time has come" after months later hahahaha that one line got me 😂
We need more cooking videos! They are soooo good!
Looking forward for the video where u try out this steak 👍😊
Steak is better without seasoning cos the seasoning powder burns and adds bitterness. Just salt and pepper it, then make a sauce for the flavour. I usually go for homemade peppercorn sauce or south african braai sauce
This is one of the most wholesome video reaction chain ever. the guy reacting to asmond's steak cooking, him reacting to the guy's. i hope he makes the guy's version of the stake.
watching asmon try to cook this steak would be like watching your disabled sibling play portal
I'm impressed how I always watch the entire videos about Asmond's $2 dollar streaks
Im so ready for your cooking his steak video lmao
Its a hexclad pan. Once seasoned its nonstick. I have them at home and use it for searing.
looks like the little steaks you buy from a dollar store.
If you've got a toaster oven you can make that potato so much better by cooking it for like 6-7 mins in the microwave and then giving it like 10 minutes or so in the toaster at 400F.
The Hexclad pans have to be seasoned. They even state in the pamphlet that you have to heat it up and put a layer of oil on it similar to a stainless or cast iron pan.
The oil was on the steak.
Asmons the best facial expressions haven't laughed this hard in a while
Im glad hes gunna try even with the reaction :)
RIP Asmon. You steak will forever be remembered.
Asmon needs to make his steak now. 😂
Asmon is like IRL AI and learning new stuff.
*Him:* You want all that juice to soak back into the steak.
*The paper plate the steak is sitting on:* Not on my watch, brother 💀
Asmon wants his stakes on the Congratulations side. As someone that was burning his beef, starting to leave some pink inside and juices is lifechanging!
I was waiting for this marvel crossover 😂
I need to see him try this new cook method
Now, we need a video of you trying his 2 dollar steak
asmon you should make a video next, doing it his way and tell us what you think ofit
edit: got to the point of the video where you contemplated it, but record it
As a chef.. I'm crying for that steak 😂
Which one?
@@ausp5078 The one that was murdered well-done obviously
@@IndieGamerMonkey im with Asmon. Beef jerky over that cat/dog food uncooked garbage!
@@luzifersohn5010 You do know that "well done" is way overcooked, in terms of safety, right? Meat is different, in terms that it still looks pink even when already cooked. Well done is 154° and the recommended FDA temperature for any meat (mind you that they give a higher number just to be sure). It is 145°, so there is no need to cook it "well done", other than preference.
But, if you prefer it "well done", well that is up to you. Eat the steak how you like it.
I hate the whole well done vs raw perspective, but damn I just cant comprehend how people can eat what feels like tire rubber.
Those chemicals in non-stick pans are also very toxic and impossible to get rid of once they enter the ecosystem.
Like how the second version was still simple and achievable. Lots of 'experts' make some crazy effort you can't do at home but he did the same just with some other ingredients and timing.
Also, really curious if Asmon tried to change his steak up! Sometimes you find unexpected tricks to improve your fave food :3
Asmon's steak doesn't need to sit out and wait to suck any steak juices back in, that sucker is ready for you instantly, because that's one of the perks of making a super dry well done steak.
Well done steak is an offense to steak and the person cooking it for you. Period.
Gotta love the English Language.
'Well done' is synonymous with poorly done and 'ruined'.
I mean well done is both good or bad depending on the tone
@@themrchicken96Not if it's $2
i love how asmongold is a millionaire but he eats $2 steaks and chugs soda all day
Best thing I’ve watched in weeks
Asmond has started a whole classification of cooking videos mimicking his. What a world
So asmongold makes a steak. Someone makes his steak. He reacts to them making his steak. Asmongold makes their steak, now he's gonna triple dip by all of the people who reacted to his initial steak are gonna react to his new steak, but with the new cooking instructions so they can compare. Then Asmon will react to their reactions lmao.
His steak cooking preferences kill my life, but at least he's doing it on cuts that really i can't empathise with trying to "make" good. If he was doing his routine with good cuts, i would cry, but the man knows what he likes, and does what he wants so good on him.
Pan searing and basting? It's a technique as old as time, you don't know what you're talking about if you think that "preference" is a bad one? lol
@@hunterh1033 isn't spank talking about Asmon's preferences?
I've had cheap steak and I've had expensive steak and honestly, the difference is not enough to call one "good" and the other "not good".
My favourite steak is still yearling minute steak. Salt, olive oil, 30 seconds on each side and nothing about it is dry.
@JPB90 hmm.. probably makes more sense, lmao. I retract.
I would sous vide it in black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Once to temp, flash sear it with some rosemary and butter. Use any juices to make a gravy with some worcestershire sauce.
Asmon explaining the methods to his madness is always funny to me
well done steak... hearing asmongold say he's only eats dry foods makes sense.... medium- rare is what i like, i feel bad for people who say the red stuff is blood.... the ignorance....
Thumbs up if you think Asmongold should try to cook Beegr's steak.
You've convinced me to finally try out beef jerky, congrats asmon
Now all we need is an Asmongold Makes Steak Experts $2 Steak for the full metea
With asmon. I prefer dry slightly burnt steak. Just soooo good.
same, brother
Medium rare all the way, nice and juicy. If it’s not pink inside might as well feed it to the foxes.
well done steak nahh brah!
I like stuff dry too, I usually don't cook steak super dry but chicken I overcook big time.
I've been judged for this my entire life but it's finally time. It's finally time for dry meat enjoyers to rise up. Rise up brothers, rise up.
I've learned in my life that when someone asks me how I like my steak I have to say to burn it and even then they'll still give me something that's raw and bleeding.
How did Asmon not get any appreciation for saying Worcestershire sauce perfectly.
