    The owner is right on a point that Jeep Compass does not actually compete with Creta and Seltos that people normally compare based on the price bracket.

    • @vanngir3180
      @vanngir3180 Před 2 lety +11

      They never compete with Compass. The rivals were Hyundai Tucson, Tata Harrier, Kia Niro(Global) Honda HR-V, Ford Escape (Global). The engine and size is bigger and better than Seltos & Creta.

    • @vanngir3180
      @vanngir3180 Před 2 lety +3

      His only points was the budget wise. Top end models of Creta & Seltos is close to Compass base models. Which he wanted better and bigger engines and size instead of features.

    Rachit a big thank u, i had called him in July 2021 just to check if i shud buy petrol manual or automatic jeep compass sport. He that time honestly told me he hasnt driven but the car is good. I was to book manual thinking it wont have a lag as such. But next day, Rachit called me and told me he spoke to an auto journalist in Delhi who had just purchased the manual sport and mentioned that there is some lag in manual as well. Hence i got the sport automatic and am very happy with that. Problems like lag is managble and going behind or slipping in ghat is not an issue at all in automatic. Thanks that insight from the journalist helped me buy this car! I think Rachit spoke to the same person who is in the video!

      @@Coconut_water890 Depends on your usage. If your daily running is more than 50kms, then it makes sense to buy the diesel variant. If your daily running isn't more than 20-30kms, then I'd suggest going for the petrol variant. Personally, I'd opt for the manual transmission over the automatic for better mileage and performance.

    Jeep truly justifies the cost it offers and is proportional to the quality and performance in the safety category. I have seen a accident of Jeep Compass and Hyundai Verna. The Verna dashed Jeep Compass from behind and Verna's front part is damaged to about one third and the Jeep rear bumper just had a scratch on it. This is the quality where money is involved.

    I'm convinced with the built quality of the car after the test drive, and comfortable with the budget of model S petrol automatic. But after the talk about the mileage, I'm confused again. Any thoughts?

    • @reckto12
      @reckto12 Před 2 lety +1

      On straight roads, I get around 14-15kmpl by maintaining 80-90 kmph. But it decreases sharply when the engine is revved. Engine performs quite good when overtaking at higher speeds, probably it's better than diesel when you go from 70 to 120. Below 50kmph it's lethargic.

      Go for the limited diesel Auto then if mileage is a concern , I own a petrol auto , this is a car you won't like in the city just because the initial acceleration is poor , the engine is tuned that way , it comes to life when the turbo kicks in at ~1800 RPM post that its a different car altogether . You would love to drive it on highways , where you can get 12-14 kmpl , in city office hours traffic it would give 6-9 kmpl again depending upon type of traffic ..

      Since I have compass and I was badly waiting for Kushaq launch, so probably I can try answering. If you only love punch in the car, quick over takes etc, Kushaq is the choice. But if you have little more money than Compass is levels above. Interior quality is far better, in fact no comparison at all. Build quality is also better in Compass.
