People are wrong that they compare Jeep Compass with creta and seltos , Jeep Compass is totally a different segment car and it’s real competitors are BMW X1 , Audi q3 , evoque. And it’s price is low just because it is manufactured in India and it is not a cbu unit . If it were a cbu unit then even it would have also costed around 60 to 70 lakh .

Cant agree more!! Have been driving the S variant for the past 2 months and I must say that the drive quality, feature loaded all-black interiors, simple yet classy exteriors are sooo amazing!!
I test drove several cars in this segment - Tucson, Citreon, XUV700, Safari and even Fortuner, but Jeep is class apart.

I recently sold my Land Rover Discovery sports 2019 make and bought a Jeep compass model S. Main reason being the 4x4 LoW , fantastic quality and better after sales services than the Land Rover . Quality wise it equals a Land Rover . This is my personal ownership review as I owned both .

I have purchase Jeep Compass BS6 Diesel AT IN 2020 Dec.
It was purchase so That I can have peace of mind. Giving me frequent problems. I had a Dzire which was reliable, never gave any problems like.
1. Rattling noise in cabin.
2. Suspension leaking and damaging the ABS wiring. RSA takes it to repair but you have to go and get it on your own where ever in India you are. This is a costly proposition. Especially in COVID situation. Hired a Taxi paid 4000 to get my car after repair.
3. Car does not hold straight line.
4. Driven 3660 km only. Now Getting a message that engine needs servicing. Auto Start Stop unavailable. Car not accelerating properly. Speed not going beyond 105 Kmph.
Appears no brand quality just the name
Really really disappointed.
Again RSA will take the car and then my problem of how to get it from Chandigarh to Barnala starts.
I NEED MY CAR EVERY DAY And I do not have another vehicle.
So I am frustrated.
Better brands should serve better.
This is not a reliable product.
It is giving me PIA.
Wake up JEEP.
If you need a car which if buy and forget till next servicing. I have realised this is definitely not the one.
I will write another detailed live review of my experience after my car comes back.

I've seen diesel versions touching 227km/hr speeds and you talk about 105, that's crazy and is not normal
Get it fixed for free since it's in warranty and write to them.
Also be careful how one drives their vehicle, respect is paramount. Jumping to conclusions won't help.
If it's a defected piece, which is rare, ask for a change.
If you really wanna review what real Jeep is, take is for test from someone who's proud n happy with it.
You'd not touch a machine close to it as compared to X1, Q3, GLA Merc, Tiguan, Kodiak, Tucson, CRV, etc
Those are it's real competition & this one stands real VFM from that standpoint.

Fantastically well spec'd car.. it has all the gizmos we needed including memory seats which we get to see only in luxury segment.. unlike other puny so called compact suvs this one is more proportionate and macho . It's the hulk of an suv.. it justifies its price.. it also starts from 16lakh..

Just some info for the ppl watching this channel. I have just today configured a jeep compass sport model. And added an aditional package for my interior which gives me leather seats plus leather wrap stearing wheel all for 60k. They have about 10 leather colour options as well along with accessories

How do you stack up the top model Jeep compass diesel with upcoming Tiguan? If they fall under the same price range, which one makes more sense to buy. I guess Compass may have better ride quality on broken roads and go anywhere ability but Tiguam seems to be more premium and slightly roomy, equally capable though with different characteristic. Which one would you buy :)
Upcoming Tiguan won't have a diesel option so buyers looking for that will just get the Compass. If they can make peace with the higher running costs and want their SUV's premium then they could go for the VW

Getting the sport variant of the Compass Diesel and I think it is one of the most loaded base variants I have ever seen in any car. It covers all essentials. Safety features are all available except the airbags (only front airbags available in the sport), touchscreen with rear parking camera and android auto and apple car play, led headlamps, rear parking sensors, rear wipers, ABS, EBD etc!!
Price is also high as compared to base variants of other cars.

This car used to be the default choice in the segment for it's value for money,it no longer is. Great product from Jeep though. I'd have it over th MG.
The interior is more premium than the other cars in the same segment.
One thing that is always lacking is that you should show how relaxed or comfortable the engine gets at highway speeds when you are driving in D mode as it shows the flexibility of the engine and what’s the acceleration / torque pull is like in D mode when we are on brisk acceleration as in real world most of the owner will be driving it like that. In my opinion this is the only information that is lacking , otherwise still the best POV reviewers / automobile journalist in the country. 💯

During the beginning of the review, you have mentioned that LED lights function very well at night, but I always find that they are very poor in illumination for the driver to drive comfortably. Besides the glare coming out of the LED lights is too uncomfortable for the drivers coming from the opposite direction. A person driving a vehicle with LED headlights will never go for switching on to DIPPER as he is unable to view anything properly. This might lead to accidents. I personally had an accident sometime ago as I was blinded by the glare.
I believe that you should personally check the same, and put up this point in your reviews so that this important issue of safety comes up.
Its a humble suggestion from my end, rest is upto you.
