    I don't have a S2 so I can't say anything about EFPs in them, but my SP01 benefitted _greatly_ from installing one, it doesn't protrude past the breach face at all. Shouldn't the firing pin return spring keep that flush with the breach face in the S2? Or do S2s not have a FP return spring? My pistol was light striking every mag/every other mag with whatever I fed it, but after the EFP I have 100% reliability even after going from a #13 hammer spring down to an #11.5, it made a big difference.

      The S2 does have a firing pin return spring. For the factory pin it needs the inertia of the hit from the hammer to push it into the primer.
      I run 11 lb springs with factory firing pin and it is 100% with CCI primers.

    I’m looking to cajunize a shadow 2 in sao but I’m wondering if I would be good without installing the extended firing pin and 13lb hammer spring, so you think I’d be good running all the other CGW parts except the extended firing pin and 13lb hammer spring?

      I run a 11 lb hammer spring with stock firing pin, very reliable.
      I actually run the entire cajun kit aside the extended pins

      @@danhanus2294 That’s awesome to hear, I plan on running the entire kit aside the EFP and CGW hammer springs as well but someone on Reddit had mentioned I could still possibly have light primer strikes running the factory firing pin and hammer spring with the rest of the CGW kit

    So after reading some comments, I’m finding that the Shadow 2 is junk from the factory? That one needs to buy aftermarket springs and/or an extended firing pin to make the gun reliable? Looks like not all CZ’s are “fine” firearms straight from the factory. If so many people are experiencing light primer strikes from an unmodified gun, that tells me that CZ is producing junk. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong and tell me what’s going on here with everybody’s Shadow 2’s.

      You don't have to do anything, probably best that you don't. Maybe the hidden conclusion of my video is that sometimes or often people do too much

      CZ’s and Berettas are literally the two most proven competition firearms in history. CZ doesnt produce junk, people put extended firing pins in their gun because they want a super light trigger pull.
      You can make a glock unreliable by doing aftermarket stuff to it. Leave it alone like most people in carry optics do, and youll be fine

      Because it's trendy to do so, and even though they don't like to admit it most people would prefer to follow what's trendy than be left out of the "cool" circle.

    What hammer spring weight do you run?

    • @danhanus2294
      @danhanus2294  Před 5 měsíci

      11.5 or 13 lb. Not sure why that'd make a difference?

    • @StewieStew820
      @StewieStew820 Před 5 měsíci

      @danhanus2294 For me, it does because I want to avoid using an extended firing pin. Thus, im trying to figure out what springs will work reliably in my shadow 2 without it.

    • @danhanus2294
      @danhanus2294  Před 5 měsíci

      @@StewieStew820 ah of course. I run a 11.5 lb and it is generally 100% with CCI primers. With off brand primers I'll get a light strike every 500 rounds or so. With 13 lb hammer spring it is 100%.
      I also run the CGW 97041 firing pin spring.

      @danhanus2294 As I reloader I can probably play around with some things as well. Thank You!
