Is a 2011 Softer Shooting Than a CZ?
zhlédnutí 241Před 14 dny
Here I show very inconclusive evidence than a 2011 is softer shooting than a CZ Shadow 2. I do think there is more room in the 2011 platform considering these are rounds 5-26 that I have shot through the gun and the grip/weight could be better optimized to shoot against the heavy Shadow 2. Throw rocks at me in the comments or hit me up on FB or Instagram Dan

I had some moments where everything came together during this match. I shot the best points I have ever shot in a match, but when things fell apart it really hurt.

Rifle Match - I almost had this one

I shot a rifle/carbine match and had a really good time. A stage is missing that collected a couple no shoots on. I wish I had that one back.

We allowed centerfire rifles/pistols and silencers in PCC division for an outlaw match. This was a blast.

Have never seen that rise drill before. Thanks!
This is the first half of Hwansik's old Measurement Drill. The drill has progressed into just using the second half which is not shown here called One Shot Return. For that you simply do the same, firing one shot on a random beep, but return the dot to point of aim immediately without over-returning it. It really helps clean up doubles. Give it a try!
I sure appreciated your falling out finish at 2:00. Got a guy at my club that does it all the time.
Nice work
So after reading some comments, I’m finding that the Shadow 2 is junk from the factory? That one needs to buy aftermarket springs and/or an extended firing pin to make the gun reliable? Looks like not all CZ’s are “fine” firearms straight from the factory. If so many people are experiencing light primer strikes from an unmodified gun, that tells me that CZ is producing junk. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong and tell me what’s going on here with everybody’s Shadow 2’s.
You don't have to do anything, probably best that you don't. Maybe the hidden conclusion of my video is that sometimes or often people do too much
CZ’s and Berettas are literally the two most proven competition firearms in history. CZ doesnt produce junk, people put extended firing pins in their gun because they want a super light trigger pull. You can make a glock unreliable by doing aftermarket stuff to it. Leave it alone like most people in carry optics do, and youll be fine
Because it's trendy to do so, and even though they don't like to admit it most people would prefer to follow what's trendy than be left out of the "cool" circle.
Hey Dan, I was one of the stage 1 ROs here, I remember ya. This year I'm the match director for Brownells own 2 gun match, Gunfighter Gauntlet. You should check it out, be good to see your crew again.
hey, shoot me an email and we can chat hanus.daniel.e@gmail.com We've developed some opinions on things that were done right and things that could be considered for a better match based on this match and others that a semi-local friend has been hosting.
What hammer spring weight do you run?
11.5 or 13 lb. Not sure why that'd make a difference?
@danhanus2294 For me, it does because I want to avoid using an extended firing pin. Thus, im trying to figure out what springs will work reliably in my shadow 2 without it.
@@StewieStew820 ah of course. I run a 11.5 lb and it is generally 100% with CCI primers. With off brand primers I'll get a light strike every 500 rounds or so. With 13 lb hammer spring it is 100%. I also run the CGW 97041 firing pin spring.
@danhanus2294 As I reloader I can probably play around with some things as well. Thank You!
Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you very much for this experiment and information.
Speed demon!
This is awesome, nice shooting!
VISION FUCKUS
I’m looking to cajunize a shadow 2 in sao but I’m wondering if I would be good without installing the extended firing pin and 13lb hammer spring, so you think I’d be good running all the other CGW parts except the extended firing pin and 13lb hammer spring?
I run a 11 lb hammer spring with stock firing pin, very reliable. I actually run the entire cajun kit aside the extended pins
@@danhanus2294 That’s awesome to hear, I plan on running the entire kit aside the EFP and CGW hammer springs as well but someone on Reddit had mentioned I could still possibly have light primer strikes running the factory firing pin and hammer spring with the rest of the CGW kit
The P10F is a fantastic pistol, for a poly frame striker fired anyways, I'll take one over any other polyframe in the world. I had the trigger on mine worked over by a really competent gunsmith, he got the pull down to about 2.5lbs with the most crisp and clean break you'll ever feel on a striker fired pistol, it's kind of hard to believe. But the S2 is a beast that eats polymer frame pistols for breakfast lol, I've got a SP01 Competition that's rodded to the gills by the same gunsmith that's a pretty even comparison to a S2 (maybe a little better trigger than a stock S2, it breaks at 1.8lbs with a .060" reset) and that thing walks all over the P10F lol. But I sure as hell hope so, considering it's got $2500 into it🥲.
I don't have a S2 so I can't say anything about EFPs in them, but my SP01 benefitted _greatly_ from installing one, it doesn't protrude past the breach face at all. Shouldn't the firing pin return spring keep that flush with the breach face in the S2? Or do S2s not have a FP return spring? My pistol was light striking every mag/every other mag with whatever I fed it, but after the EFP I have 100% reliability even after going from a #13 hammer spring down to an #11.5, it made a big difference.
The S2 does have a firing pin return spring. For the factory pin it needs the inertia of the hit from the hammer to push it into the primer. I run 11 lb springs with factory firing pin and it is 100% with CCI primers.
Spicy shirt gang! I was gonna wear my howler monkey shirt to CO nats last year, but I withdrew lol
🙏
Nice work! cornfield was a good wrap up for me for the season after A5.
Gangster as eff!
+1 Like for the Donovan look.
It was a pleasure ROing for you Stage 1...great shooting.
That's the farthest I've ever seen a kettlebell get thrown. That's some Corn-Fed Brutality right there.
Results: Sam got 3rd and 4th overall in the two divisions he shot. I got 7th and Steve got 9th out of 140 competitors. drive.google.com/file/d/1RqP8fWwu3gQVJKCJdsDujHZ_W_dxSZQD/view?usp=sharing practiscore.com/results/new/177686
It was great shooting with y'all! The USPSA skill was quite evident!
Very nice.
