    When are we going to stop making human beings feel bad for looking like human beings?! Seriously! It's 'ok' to have skin texture on your arms, your legs and your feet - but you should definitely NOT have any on the skin on your face! Good grief woman! Your face skin should look like glass! WTF GUYS!!! Why are we like this! Literally every single person on the PLANET has skin texture. Whether their pores are enlarged or small, whether they have fine lines or wrinkles when they smile - no one's skin is actually airbrushed in real life. No influencer or celebrity ACTUALLY looks like they do in edited pictures. If you have skin texture, you DON'T need to get rid of it, and you don't need to feel bad about it. It's society's attitude to beauty that needs to change - not you.

You have a precious soul that Lord Jesus died for, please know that you can go to heaven no matter what you’ve done in your past, Lord Jesus Christ can and will forgive you if you turn to Him, confess your sins to Him and repent. Honestly, as a former makeup artist, I get so frustrated trying to explain to my girlfriends that IRL skin CANNOT look instagram perfect. I have had women tell me I’m just watching the “wrong videos”. Regular working class women like me, who truly believe pores can just be erased with foundation! What a ridiculous standard! The reality is, IMHO, real skin is more beautiful anyway. I think the fine lines add character and depth, to women who are working every day as moms, friends, wives, daughters. The trials of life show on our faces and thats wonderful! We should not hide from this fact! Even knowing the poreless look is a big lie, I fall into the trap of comparison. We have to hold each other by continuing to acknowledge this. ❤️

      Women actually impose this on women. Women set what's important. Men actually don't care about the hierarchy that women set for themselves. Where as women care a lot about what men set for other men. I.e. athletic, strong, rich men. Women care about makeup, contouring, fashion. But men do not. Men have very low standards when it comes to women. Trust me.... ANY 'mid' can sleep with a hot guy. Any guy WOULD sleep with an obese and/or below average woman...lol. Women have extremely high standards towards themselves AND towards the men they choose to sleep with or date.

    I went to high school in the 2010s and remember telling my boyfriend at the time how I wanted to get all these surgeries and procedures to “fix” and “change” me. In 2018, I had lip filler and hated it. Some of the things I once hated about myself are now features my baby has, and I love them on him. 👶🏻💙 Maybe being a mama has changed all that. Additionally, I had great support in my boyfriend (now husband) who would not only give me compliments, but made me believe in myself more, and helped me to become a better version of myself. 👨‍👩‍👦
    P.s. If you haven’t heard this today, from a mama to you: 💞

    I feel as if certain platforms have created a whirlwind of insincerity, guilt over being human, possibly narcissistic qualities and worries over "am I good enough?", or "why can't I achieve this?". Too much time wasted on that than on living life to the fullest. It only goes by quicker with age. Enjoy life and care less about trivial things. I know they've done it in other countries, but disclosure would be nice. I can't imagine growing up with instagram, thinking this is normal. We grew up with magazines, but I truly feel that the whole editing thing has become even worse and a little "cartoony" at times, especially with impossible body shapes. Also the fart comment 😭😂 preach it chica!

      This comment is quite disturbing. I have zero skin texture I have never used makeup to cover my face and I am absolutely in love with the face I was born with and always exude confidence because confidence is what I feel 100%. How dare you say that I have no story to tell. I have the best story to tell. Learn to be happy for everyone around you learn to love yourself and then the world will be a better place. I'm always happy and that is because I love myself I love everyone around me and every day is a great day because I feel great in my heart and in my soul and who I am. Every single human being is different no two are the same that is the beauty of humanity. So don't ever go around saying that no skin texture means that you don't have a story to tell because everyone has a story to tell and everyone is beautiful if they love everyone around them and themselves.

      Why compare? I don't understand. Every single human being looks sooo different that is the beauty of being human. No two are the same. Of course you're going to find people that are beautiful, but why feel intimidated ? why compare ? Why be jealous ? I'll never understand this. Maybe it's because I absolutely love who I am and have always been very confident, but even if I wasn't who I am I feel like I would never compare myself to anyone. Never once have I thought oh I'm going to compare myself to this person or that person. I'm happy for everyone around me. • @alexforman39
      @alexforman39 Před rokem

      @@KAYLAKARBAN it’s not something women consciously do, I don’t think ‘oh, today I’m going to compare myself to this person’. That great for you then, and to be honest, the fact you can’t understand it obviously shows how confident you are and that’s great. But I think a lot of people, for a number of reasons don’t feel the same way you do, and as a result unconsciously compare because they probably always have or have been compared to someone by someone else. If you find it fascinating or want to learn more about it, it isn’t rare for people to feel like this.. research it and you’ll see. As I say, great for you to feel that way but your comment in itself compares yourself to people like myself who don’t feel as confident as you, so comparisons happen more often than you’re aware and you clearly compare yourself too but obviously in a more favourable way.

    I'm beginning to see videos where people are becoming more honest about themselves. It is exciting and thank you for making us more identifiable with our flaws and imperfections.

    Once again, thank you!! This made me feel so much better about my skin! I just wish celebrities would post real pictures! Girls and boys look at Instagram and feel bad about themselves, and it breaks my heart.

    STEPH always the voice of reason and keeping it real....
    If one person walks away from the video feeling better about themselves and realising these influencers pics are fake.... girl you saved a life!!! X

    Thank you so much Stephanie. I've struggled with hormonal acne since I was 12 years old (30 now), and now that my acne is finally under control, I have scarring and wrinkles to contend with. I can totally relate to looking at a selfie I've taken and not liking the skin texture I see. I've also seriously shied away from wearing makeup because I always find it highlights my skin texture. The only way to have no pores is to project a false image of myself digitally. Real life = texture. Thank you for driving this point home!

    Thank you for showing us your natural skin. I always compare my skin (visible pores) with others, unable to find something to 'clear it up'...its nice to see that you are just natural, normal and beautiful 😘

    This one hits home because my pores are huge and my skin is oily and I keep getting the impression that everyone has much better skin than I have. I need to watch this video on repeat for a few hours.

    I absolutely love these videos. As someone that used to struggle so much with my skin, it's so refreshing to see that you're having these kinds of conversations. For me, my struggles were compounded by excoriation (skin-picking) disorder, which has left my skin far from flawless, but that's okay! I think your video will help more people see that skin doesn't exist as a smooth, porcelain surface.
