@Neo.heartt spoken like a true beginner artist. It doesn't help to trace, because you don't really understand it, so you can only draw it in that one specific style from that one specific angle. You have to build the muscle memory on your own and understand how it works, (I made this mistake when I first started, I just copied youtube tutorials and traced) you're not gonna be doing well. Nobody can improve on the eyebrow if they don't know what the eyebrow is.

There’s an invention for this already and it works way better, it’s called a light box. Basically just a flat screen that just lights up, that way you put the sketch or photo under the paper and the image shines through. I used to use it to make an inked version of my sketches.
@@icemen5069 You're ment to do it with the lights off so the only light is from under the paper. Then there's no shadow over it. Remember to use paper clips or masking tape to secure the paper together and not have it move while tracing.
That's how you learn art. You try to copy something, you start to pick patterns, while tracing art, like what is done in this video, will not help you improve in any way. Good luck learning

Fun fact: Most artists have traced sometime in their life, it helps with muscle memory. :) you can use a combination of different methods to better your craft. Ask any artist, and there's a good chance they have traced when they first got started in drawing.

Tracing is only to learn technically details, like if you are imitating a specific art form or specific area. No one starts out by tracing. That’s the equivalent of using a motorcycle when you can even ride a bike yet.

But i just erase and then do it my way then add the details and shadowing and everything and it looks like REAL art. Some of us need a bit of support to get it going ❤

This was created this year's ago, used to have one as a kid that was almost like a plastic file folder that reflected what was on the other side

Use butter paper sheets or whatever you call them. Works the same, costs lesser. More precise, more fun. You also use them for making cakes.
