Not only did the boyfriend steal OP’s wife’s car, he essentially stole it from his girlfriend’s child because the kid didn’t even know the car was gone. I can’t imagine taking something as valuable as a car from my girlfriend’s kid. That’s wild
i have no idea why OP's ex is still with that guy. first he makes her do that stupid court order thing that makes her look super bad in the divorce and now the dude stole a car. that man is a real keeper he is /s.
@@abiean222 Not only that, but the guy is likely about to get fired at the next available point. Meaning the dude will also likely be a mooch soon. I'm expecting a sunk cost fallacy, where the Ex thinks "well it was good at the start, maybe it can be good again?" and keeps waiting for things to return to the whirlwind romance they had initially.
What I love is the reaction from OP’s current wife. She clearly has heard all the sordid details of his divorce and, as someone who loves him (and who didn’t appreciate having to head all the way over there to retrieve a car stolen by a douchebag), not only was on board to make his life a misery for as long as they could get away with it but was actively alert to any opportunity to do just that! She’s a catch.
@@abiean222 People are reluctant to torch something they've put work into. She has already gotten divorced once so finding a 3rd guy to take her is probably more trouble than she is willing to expend the effort for. She is obviously not as petty or stupid as her boyfriend she just does what he says because he probably berates her into it. She was probably fine just cheating on OP until he talked her into getting a full divorce.
@@SkyEcho751 from the sound of it, he was able to convince his boss that the one at fault for the missing supplies was his step-kids' dad. He probably preemptively told them OP gave permission and then took it back just to get him in trouble.
First Story: Lol this story sounds like pure harmless fun. I genuinely enjoyed this story. OP managed to trick his MIL into taking a large bite of a radish. I feel bad for his taste buds though
Second Story: I feel like OP's ex was trying to get OP to mess up and break the court order. Not going to lie though, being blindsided by all of this is so messed upz
Second Story (Revenge): That revenge against this guy was perfect. Not only is he doing bad at work because he technically stole the van, he is doing bad at home for what he did
Third Story: There is always that one co-worker that makes working at the job a pain. Every little thing u do, they complain about. I would love to hear how dumb this co-worker would sound to complain to the boss about OP taking away a public parking space
Fourth Story: That manager is hilarious lmao. I find it funny that this customer really thought that they can override his card being declined. He is simply broke, can’t overrride that
He might not be aware the card has less on it, but there are other reasons for a card declining. If it's a bank debit, the system might have an error. That happened to me once, actually most if not all of the bank's customers had that problem. Other problems include security reasons (card out of normal spending area, going over daily spending limit, etc) and system issues on the store's end.
@@marjoriejohnston4905 Yeah, if he honestly thought the card should work he should have called the card company. I had my card declined at Target because I was making a large purchase, despite the purchase being well under the card's limit. It apparently triggered their fraud detection algorithm. One quick call to the card's fraud protection team later and I was walking out of the store with my stuff.
@@burke615 you're expecting the dude to be rational and intelligent? Clearly, he isn't
More likely, that card was stolen and the actual owner had it frozen.
He says there's like $1k or something on it, but it gets declined? VERY sus...
First story I’d claim went innocently, but if OP had some sort of reaction to it (which could happen, my friend is allergic to one type of vegetable but isn’t to the same vegetable that is a different color).
Second story was absolutely brilliant, idiot steals the car of the very dude he tried to prevent from seeing his own kids and then is all shocked that this man isn’t just gonna let that slide. Beautiful revenge
Yeah, you know OP was laying like a cobra for 10 YEARS just waiting for his chance. 😆😆
Story 3: why does that boss think he can yell at some random dude who got their car stolen?? It better just be because he's desperate for the supplies.
Also those impound office dudes are probably thrilled by the drama hahaha
Probably for the same reason they're short staffed 😐
The world would be an infinitely better place if every manager/boss was like the new manager in the last story. Props to him for having his employee's back and being hilarious at the same time.
Story 5: If a card declines, a card declines. You can't force or override it.
Yep, the only thing that can be done is the customer contacts their card provider to find out what's up. Could be a lower balance than the customer thinks, suspicious charges that made the bank put a hold on the card, expired card, or a true tech glitch of some sort. Whatever the reason, it's an issue with the card/account/provider, not the place trying to run the card.
I wish my customers know this. XD
@@selwing666 They do. They just want to have their Karen moment.
And it will decline due to delinquent payment, not enough funds, or unauthorized user. So what was Karen’s deal?
This is true! I've had my card declined when I tried getting groceries at Walmart because I bought a $3 item on ebay the previous day. Apparently that one item on ebay triggered my bank as it being fraudulent and they blocked my card. Then it continued to happen afterwards when I used it at local stores. It was very frustrating because I went to the same stores on a regular basis and occasionally the bank thought it looked suspicious and automatically blocked the card. I had to contact the bank to get them to stop blocking my card just because I went to Walmart.
Story 2 + 3: OP showed no indication of a threat, but got hit with a protection order anyway. This is why protection orders shouldn't just be given for no reason.
I know that the boyfriend is the reason why all of this happened, but why did he suggest that in the first place?
Well, don't take other people's vans because you'll find yourself in a massive pickle
why did the boyfriend suggest a protection order is answered on why did he got into a relationship that would result in him being fired if people found out and steal a car. the dude is an idiot who most likely doesn't believe in consequences.
Because Captain Jackass thought that with OP out of the picture, the kids would acknowledge him as their stepdad easier, evidently he only antagonized himself to them
sometimes it can be really hard to explain what the threat is. e.g. if it's emotional manipulation then you might be guilted into letting them back in. It's why it had a time limit and then was assessed, but errs on the side of caution. But like just about every system, it can be abused by someone determined to make others suffer. I absolutely hate people misusing them, but this is a clear indication of how to do it right - file the rebuttal but follow the ruling. Imagine if he'd ignored his lawyer and just kept picking up the kids... he could have been tossed in jail.
Imagine biting into a radish out of pure spite
I once chewed garlic to trick my cousins that it was candy after they had eaten all the ice cream
@@Gabriel-lh7gy You are a true hero :)
I like radishes, don't know what ya'iis problem is.
Bruh you gotta be joking. In my country we eat radishes just like that. What do you people do with them? XD
@@j.j.juggernaut9709 I agree.
1st story is what a MIL relationship should be. Just good, happy, fun.
Last story was a nice change of pace. Always good to see a new manager actually listen to the employees.
The last story: Even if there is money in the account a debit/credit card might be pinged as a possible fraudulent purchase and declined. It's happened to me multiple times when I buy things on my (100% safe) online games or Amazon if it's close to or over £100. I'm fine with it as it's an automated security feature.
It often is, and the only way to find out is to call the number on the back of the card. Even the processor rarely gets a reason other than “no.”
That happened to me several times. It triggered a chain of events all because I bought a $3 item on Ebay. The bank kept blocking my card when I would go to my normal local stores because they thought it was suspicious. Finally I had to call the bank and tell them to stop blocking my card every time they thought a transaction at Walmart was fraudulent. In my account you could see that the stores I went to were the same ones I had gone to for years. It was so frustrating and embarrassing to have to leave the store each time without groceries.
I once got a red flag on my card because I tried buying something mid way through a night shift.
Apparently the banks keep track of when a card is usually in use and will decline spending at 'abnormal times'.
@@MahsaKaerra Oh my goodness that's frustrating! It's great that they are looking out for their customers but not when it interferes with their life for basic things. If a customer is going to the same stores and gas stations on a regular basis, regardless of the times, they shouldn't just automatically block it because they think it's suspicious. Once I visited some places in the next state over for a day trip, which was only an hour and half away from home. After my first couple of purchases, they blocked my card because they thought it was stolen even though I didn't report it stolen. Apparently people aren't allowed to travel and buy things.
Story 1. I’ve never heard of a radish looking like a carrot and tasting peppery… Parsnips on the other hand…
Or maybe a horseradish? Though those are so strong people don't normally get a big bag of them unless they're planning huge cooking projects.
Or maybe preserving horseradish for condiment.
It was most likely a daikon radish! they look like chubby white carrots! though it is still weird that they have a giant bag of them. i'm not sure of any dishes that would need THAT many radishes.
@@arielallen9478 daikon radish has pretty mild flavor don't they?
@arielallen9478 who knows, maybe it was just that the person who was selling them only had one size bag of them. Its like that at my local grocery store for some of the produce. Like the potatoes. You can only get 5 lb bags of potatoes. They also sell russet potatoes in packs of 3, but they don't sell individual potatoes or the other kinds in packs of 3. So if you need, say, 4 Idaho gold potatoes, then you have to buy 5 lbs of Idaho gold potatoes. If you want to buy 4 russet potatoes, then you have to buy 5 lbs or 6 russet potatoes.
And from what I've experienced farmers markets or pop-up produce stands (we have this random produce stand that appears at the start of like...May and stays up until mid-October, and it's this one family who sells produce) or even just those houses that have enough backyard to have a garden in them, sometimes you can't find a bag of suitable size for just a few items, or you somehow end up with a ridiculously large amount of veggies and need to get rid of them, so you basically sell them in bulk. That happened to someone I know last year. He has a few chickens he keeps in his backyard. He's known in the city because every year he'll put eggs in this little stand he built and put it out on the curb. You can swing on by and grab eggs by the dozen, pay what you want. He goes by an honor system and everyone 100% follows it. It's kind of sweet really. Well last year he had an excess of eggs. Like too many eggs. He made a Facebook post basically begging people to come get eggs. To the point where he said they were free, he was just running out of room to store the eggs and it isn't like he can just tell his chickens to stop laying eggs so he keeps getting more eggs. And apparently some of the latest eggs were hatching (he figured out how that happened and it was dealt with so no more chicks; apparently he had an adventurous hen) so now he had more chickens to give him even more eggs. I believed his words were "I am drowning in eggs and I don't even have the space in my car to take them to a farmer's market". For the remainder of the year at basically every city event, where he could, he was giving away eggs or tons of baked goods. There was a breakfast event happening and you bet he showed up with practically every breakfast dish that contained eggs that you could think of. If there was a recipe for anything that called for large amounts of eggs, he would make it. I took pity on him and figured I would need a lot of eggs for the holidays, so I bought like over 200 eggs from him. Unfortunately we did not do as much baking as I had planned. So now we have like 180 eggs still. They're taking up four drawers in our refrigerator. Now I know how he felt.
I've never had a radish that I'd even remotely describe as "hot" or "peppery".
I love radishes. I would have loved that bag of radishes.
I looked it up, apparently a raw radish has a spicy taste but cooking it milds the taste
Horse Radish. It is used as an alternate to 'Wasabi' it is also White and kinda looks like a Carrot.
Well like temperature, comedy or fear, it's relative. I love spicy. But I also live in Pa, in Dutch country, many people think pepper is too spicy. I know to them radishes are too much.
Radishes are too spicy and peppery to me. I can't stand them and to me they are too hot. I can't even eat black table pepper because it's way too spicy.
That 4th story with that co-worker who kept complaining about OP being late and such, that is called workplace harassment and OP should have complained to HR and refused to accept the writeup on being late.
Really? OP was late twice a week *for a year*. Literally every employee, according to OP, is dealing with the traffic issues and yet OP is the only one who is constantly late.
His write-up was well deserved.
@@Mewse1203 he was the one the coworker complained about. Others could’ve been late due to traffic as well
He didn't say he was the only one being late
@Lori Lancaster if others were also late, OP would have made that clear.
@Mewse he's not the one who is constantly late. What are you talking about? He's late because of legitimate reasons that he can't control
In the last story if I were OP and a costumer asked me to over ride it I would say “ok let me hack into the main frame and shut down the fire wall.” Then start making a bunch of beep beep boop noises at the register and tell them “I’m sorry I tried it’s too secure”
That last story, managers should be able to spot quickly whether the customer is being dumb or whether the worker did something wrong. This guy was a shining example for when to have your colleagues backs and when to appease the customers.
I love radishes. I would have thoroughly enjoyed being in OP's place in that first story!
Last story was just as much fun. And to be fair, they DID give the guy a way to pay for his stuff and go home. Not their fault he decided instead to throw a hissy fit and stomp out.
Last story just made me so happy when it got to the end. XD love angry customers being stupid and awesome managers having my/their associates backs
Anytime something like the last story happens, I always recommend the customer calls their bank. There was one time my mom’s card was declined even though she had plenty of money, and when she called the bank they said that they had canceled her card and sent a new one because someone had stolen her credit card information and was misusing it
I remember when my card kept getting declined once. I tired to pay a few times, both contactless and by inserting the card but it kept getting declined. I was pretty pissed off at that time. Because I knew there was money in my card because I bought something that morning already using the same card. And I really wanted that piece of fabric. The lady told me to just go withdrawal money from an atm and she'd hold the item on the side for me. So I went to the nearest post office on foot which, mind you, it was 15-20 minutes away on foot. And I had to go to the post office because I pay crazy withdrawal fees at atms that aren't of the post office nor was there a bank near. There was no bus on the way there and back to the store. It was also getting pretty hot walking all that much so I had to walk around in my stinky sweaty white t-shirt. I got to the post office and I hear some old ladies talking about a supposed failure. I managed to get the money, then I went back. I heard the cashier complain about credit cards from the postal service getting declined and that's when found out there had been some kind of shut-down for about 30 minutes at the headquarters of the postal service. Which lead to cards getting declined from anyone. Atms not working at all and even the app wouldn't let you in. I did manage to get my fabric and make some amazing pants. So I'm glad it worked out.
Story 1 is amazingly harmless. It's amazing to see a story on this end with no conflict.
She could have scheduled emails for certain times in case she forgot so that she had more time to spend minding the kids
Story 2 this is why orders of protection shouldn't be granted without evidence. Innocent guy gets screwed over by his spiteful ex.
Yeah im sitting here confused over how the hell that protection order got granted without OP even knowing...
...standard sexism not being sexist itself i guess... (by that im referring to how both men and women can be perpetrators and victims of sexism, just in different ways)
Par for the course - "believe _all_ women" and all.
Stay single, brothers!
My fiance is going through the same thing. What she claimed happened was actually easily disproven but she was able to file without any evidence.
My male friend tried to get an order of protection from a guy who is stalking him, and he told me he couldn't since they are not related and didn't date.
Even though he has already threatened my friends life many times and won't leave him alone. He has evidence but still can't get an order of protection. It's so infuriating.
It has to be that way, because sometimes there's no proof even though something bad is happening
Sometimes the protection order gives time to gather evidence
Or it's a way to protect yourself before an official judgement (because they take a long time)
Yes, it sucks that some people abuse the system, but right now it has to be that way
First story… I managed to turn a prank back on some people in college. Nothing as satisfying as this one, but I remember it fondly.
Late in the Spring semester, at the time when all roommates have just about had enough of each other and passive-aggressiveness is baked into every seemingly harmless action… I was taking a shower while my roommates had their boyfriends over. I don’t know what conversation took place in the living room, especially considering they already knew I hate being pranked… but I heard the bathroom door open and something came splotting over the rail in front of me. Missed me entirely, mind you. I was rinsing or something so I was a step back from the soaping zone, so to speak.
The culprits scurried out and I bent down to squint at it… snow. Huh. Guess that was a prank, I thought, and went back to washing. Couple minutes later the door opens again. Sigh. This time the payload made a direct hit. I got a solid glop of snow down my head and shoulders and so on.
Well, by then I understood what was happening and what was expected. I’m a bit slow so the dress rehearsal was a big help. They hadn’t been satisfied with the silence, right? The goal was to toss snow on me (as a prank, of course, not because they’re all quietly wishing for my immediate death, no… just a little friendly prank) and get a funny scream as payment. So when I didn’t scream, they tried again. And even if they’d succeeded, I don’t like pranks so I’d never take my equal revenge, the way one of them would.
So I didn’t make a sound. No scream, no squeak, no nothing. As if I hadn’t just gotten nailed with a bucketful of snow in my hot shower. I was always a quiet kid, y’see. This was much more natural to me than a scream would be.
I walked out eventually, drying my hair, to find a roomful of fairly subdued people. They asked about the snow. I said they got me the second time but I knew they wanted me to scream so I didn’t. Silence. I strolled back to my room. If we’d been on good terms, we all might have laughed about it. At that point in the year we were NOT on good terms. There was a definite malice in that little prank. I dunno if they thought there was but I’ve never understood people who bond through cruelty, either.
They say living well is the best revenge but I personally enjoy sucking all the life out of their attack and watching the anticlimactic moping.
The last story: When it got to the 'turns 90 degrees to face' part, I was imagining the manager turning as if he was on a literal turntable, accompanied by a creaking sound straight out of an old horror movie. And then, when he turned back, the same, but with the kind of voice you'd hear from a butler. And I laughed so hard I got teary-eyed. XD
So glad it wasn't just me!
Story 4: I hate that malicious compliance story. This wasn't a case of somebody doing something okay and somebody else being stupid, so OP uses the rules against him. This is a case of OP being the only person to not figure out how not to be late in a year, getting in trouble, and then assuming it was this co-worker he didn't like and then punishing him for it.
OP was late "once or twice a week" every week *for a year*. Despite the fact that "everyone had been impacted," OP was the only one who was late. Otherwise, he'd have mentioned others also being late.
Then he gets written up by his boss, assumes the coworker had something to do with it, then takes out his frustrations on a coworker he doesn't like. And why? Not because he had any actual evidence. No, it was just based on assumption because this guy doesn't like that OP is always late despite literally every other coworker dealing with the same traffic issues and being on time.
This was a case of OP doing wrong, getting in trouble, and punishing a coworker for no reason. This is way more malicious than it was compliance.
new boss in the last story was petty in the most amazing way possible, and he had op's back the whole time 👍
Third story was so petty it's hilarious 🤣🤣
Hey, slash, I woke up for school about 2 hours ago for school, but thing is, I'm sick and can't fall back to sleep. But now I have this to listen to. Thank you.
Hope you feel better soon man!
Get well soon!
Hope you're feeling a bit better :)
Given OP from the second story is now on good terms with his ex-wife & she's pissed at her boyfriend(let alone the fact the protection order is BOYFRIEND'S fault) I can't help but feel he's probably been behind some shit & the ex just happened to realize she should stop taking his advice after it bit her especially in court.
I might be wrong but from what I can figure out(especially if he use to be in a position above her at her job) that the boyfriend advised ex on somethings & she's only now realizing he's an idiot.
She probably is just at much at fault for stuff(considering she chose this boyfriend) but I mean his advice on the protection order led to her constantly having to drive the kids around cause she can't take a moment in her day to send an email. That protection order led to people at ex's work learning what happened & caused boyfriend to get fired & ex getting chewed out in court. Then some time later the boyfriend's bad ideas led to stealing a van in his girlfriend's ex-husband's name, the guy he tried to screw over by convincing ex-wife of getting a protection order on. In the end boyfriend wasted his company's money & now he's losing money & in trouble with work & his girlfriend. He's lucky he wasn't fired from another job again.
he's lucky he still got a girlfriend. if he was my boyfriend i'd dump his ass once i found out he stole a car.
The last story was perfect. I love that the New Boss came in to the situation understanding that his new employees know the store and its systems well, and clearly respects their knowledge of their positions, the icing on the cake was how he supported the OP while giving good customer service. 🙂
Positive stories about great managers lately!
When my sister was about 20 or 21 she watched all of these Instagram videos about slaughterhouses plus met a new friend that was a very aggressive vegan. She inadvertently turned my sister into a vegan for a short while but neither of them knew what they were doing, so they would constantly only eat raw vegetables and raw fruits And nothing else. I picked up my sister one time and she smelt weird so I asked her what she had been eating and she pulled out half eaten radish out of her purse and started eating it in my car like an Apple! At 1st I was shocked and asked her what the f*** she was doing and she tried to answer back like a little kid eating something they don't like that they threw a fit to have, She was trying to so hard to hide the disgust on her face as she's eating this because Josie does it lol she ended up getting a kidney infection and was low of most minerals and vitamins unit body needs and had to spend 2 nights in the hospital. She's now only a vegetarian lol but very loosely lol
There's nothing weird about eating a raw radish that's how most people eat them.
@Mari Posa but you know eating too much of a certain food can cause kidney infections right. Some veggies give you something called vitamin k. It's like a mock sodium. That is dangerous. Also soy. For a woman large amounts of soy can cause the body to think you have overabundance of estrogen. That can be fatal. So yeah this commentor said it right. Eating nothing but veggies in the wrong amounts is dangerous. Glad it was just an infection and not failure.
1. I don't think I've ever tried a radish, but it sounds gross. Love that OP got back at his MIL in a perfectly-executed, harmless prank. Bet they'll all laugh about it together one day!
2. DAMN!! That is some fantastic revenge! Glad things are better between him and his ex, and I hope the kids are doing ok!
3. Yeah, I'm with you on that, the job does NOT sound worth it. I've never liked a job so much that I would commute that long, or wake up that early.
4. God, that makes me think of when I worked at a college bookstore. Shit like that was almost a daily occurrence! Newsflash: if the card declines even manually, it's not the cashier's or the store's fault, it's either your card or your bank. Or you're lying, and you don't actually have enough money, you just thought you could get away with it. Jesus, customers suck.
what's wrong with radishes? i've eaten them raw as just a random snack since i was a kid, they taste great!
They’re so good!!
*First OP:* Normally, I don't condone gaslighting, but I'll make an exception in this case. I love a good petty revenge, lol
*Second and Third OP:* Amazing. I live for stories like these. I'm glad things worked out for OP, and I'm glad he and his ex are on good terms.
*Fourth OP:* And _that's_ why you should (almost) always mind your business 😛.
Also, I had to get up two hours early for school, so I feel OP's pain.
*Fifth OP:* Shout out to OP's manager for having OP's back.
I'm gonna need rSlash to use that "manager" voice more often.
I won't say first story is gaslighting, like a one time joke where you pretend won't fit the criteria
Gaslighting is when you do what op did EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. no matter what it is whether it's something as little as moving the car keys from their normal spot every day or unlocking the front doors after their partner KNOWS they locked it coming in
Seriously the term gaslighting is way overused. Actual gaslighting is a horrible, terrible, manipulative, abusive tactic. Tricking someone once isn’t gaslighting. That’s like saying someone is a bully because they threw out a single insult at someone. Or calling someone a murderer for swatting a fly. Tricking someone, especially harmlessly and in good fun, is NOWHERE NEAR gaslighting.
A prank is not gaslighting.
I love the manager in the last story. That is so funny.
I was also commuting ~30min to my old job. Because of some road repairs or so I was basically 30min later at work (I have flexible hours so that wasn't a real problem). So I started waking up half an hour earlier and got to work 1 hour earlier. And later it happened again. So that's how I started work earlier and earlier and with time was the first at work. Thanks for flexible hours and being able to just start early and go home early
I used to live in a city that had 2 seasons - winter and construction. Roads would be closed with little no warning signs, and especially frustrating , in areas without exit options for several miles. So every now and then, I'd be late, but so would several coworkers. Leaving the house early was risky - either you arrive to work super early, or you hit the tail end of the previous traffic rush and going nowhere fast.
@@lynneconklin917 sounds horrible to go through again and again. Hope you have a humane commute now
the r in rslash stands for radish
Second story I did some quick math. They mentioned 3 weeks being impounded and at 25 a day that’s 525. 600 for the gas/time for op and his wife. 3 more days of the equipment being stored over the weekend so another 75 dollars there and I have family who work in construction and if something is delayed by multiple weeks then they can expect a hefty fine/ass chewing. Towing fee costs usually around 100. Soooo at the very least the BF cost his company 3 week delay and 1300 Canadian dollars. I assume is a fair bit more than this because impound lots in the USA have extra fees I’m sure they slapped on plus the potential fines from the customer for the delayed work
I think they meant “parsnips” in the first story. Radishes don’t look like a white carrot. They are usually red and round.
I love Malicious Compliance!
Would we have a Treelaw video anytime soon?
Tree Law Gang rise up
@@Jesus_Offical Thy will be done!
Why did they buy radishes if they don't like them
Wait....
First story: Am I translating this wrong? We put radish in our salats here, raw of course? Why had op such a problem with that? Yeah they are spicy but really tasty
I think the primary matter here is the sheer difference in flavour profile between a carrot and a raddish. At least that is my understanding of it tbh
13:46 imagine Rslash finds out that in Brasil there's people whom have to commute for 3 hours to get to work only to receive minimum wage
Story 3: The boyfriend's stupidity was essentially that one old cartoon were the villain says: "I’ll steal it! NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!" personified.
My violence inhibitors are a joke. No, really. I only keep them enabled because of how funny they are
Story 2 Revenge: If I were the boss, I would've reprimanded the boyfriend for stealing someone's van to move my stuff. Why is he mad AT OP anyway? HE should be mad at the boyfriend for stealing someone's van. I suspect the boss is also in on this, or else why would he be swearing incoherently at OP?
Radishes are yummy. Though usually I eat the red kind. We did grow some white ones a few years back. They are still good.
Rslash your job privilege is showing again. A long commute doesn't automatically make a job not worth it. Especially if you like the job, and it pays well, and has good benefits. Some people are willing to make certain sacrifices for their work. And this one isn't even permanent, the construction will be done eventually.
For the last story, maybe the customer had a daily spending limit on his card so regardless of how much money he has in the account, if he is trying to buy something over his daily spending limit then he has to call his bank and get it raised or else it will keep declining
My bank once kept blocking my card and thought going to local stores was suspicious and possibly fraudulent charges. It all started because I bought a $3 item on Ebay so my account kept getting flagged. I had to call the bank and tell them to stop blocking my card just because I went to walmart that I go to every weekend. It was so frustrating.
@@dragonfliesnh4204 yeah, I remember working retail and having to ask people to call their bank. And their bank would tell them that because they made Cashapp payments they were marked as potential fraud so it kept them from making large purchases
@@cecesmith4723 Yeah, that is so frustrating to feel like a broken record. It's frustrating if the bank is closed and they don't have a toll free number available 24/7, like my bank and of course these issues always happened on the weekends. It's good that banks are looking out for their customers but at the same time, if they keep blocking people's cards over and over even though they didn't go anywhere unusual, it becomes a problem. Now I just use Paypal instead of my regular debit card for sites like Ebay to avoid some of these issues.
@@dragonfliesnh4204 I believe these issues are the main reasons why people will have cash on the side in case their cards act funky
@@cecesmith4723 That's a very good point. As a very short and petite female, I've never felt comfortable carrying much cash as I'm an easy target if someone wanted to rob me and I have no way to defend myself. But I should think about keeping at least $10 or $20 on hand, for these reasons you mentioned. Thank you for this!
❤❤❤
When I worked in retail and a customer would get pissed their card declined and blame me... my favorite thing to do was to do a conference call (with their permission) with the customer's bank and have the bank explain why the card declined... Rarely would I get an apology.
Nah... I've tasted very VERY sweet victory...
*And That Person Will Ever Recover*
Tho being born the way I was I've already taken my victory lap ( ꈨຶ ˙̫̮ ꈨຶ )
The first story is hilarious to me because I just peel & bite into radishes whole because they’re so yummy to me! Especially when I pull them fresh from the gardennnn they’re so sweet
Good morning rslash. Good stories today, as usual. Thanks.
I definitely wasn't expecting manager to have ops back
really the choice was have their employee's back or give away free product. but yeah, that manager didn't have to be that savage doing it but praise him that was awesome.
Story 2 : how does OP consider his relationship with ex a "good relationship" when she moved him out without him knowing, already had a boyfriend, tried to keep his kids from him, got mad at OP when all he did was obey the protective order and he considers this a good relationship with his ex? 😮💨😶🌫️🤯
maybe the relationship was really bad beforehand? she was cheating on him with an idiot and she's still with the guy even though he's brought her nothing but trouble. maybe she's just a bad person but now that she knows how good she had it she's being better or maybe they both work better separated then they do together? or maybe she's realized that her boyfriend is an idiot and isn't listen to him anymore, after all the protection order was his idea, not hers.
He said they have a good relationship now. Years have passed since all that went down.
That van story is one of the best revenge stories I have heard. LOVE IT!
radish story is godtier
Your the best r/slash
At least Malicious and Compliance aren't considered bad words...yet lol
with the way things are going we might not even be able to use words with more then 5 letters in them. after all youtube seems to think all of their viewers are children.
Love your videos
something's off about that last story
the customer's wording is always that he knows there's money on THAT card
a normal person would say something like "I have over $1000," not to mention the fact that the card was constantly declined by the CARD COMPANY
almost makes you wonder if the card was stolen
I think Reddit has ruined ALL of us into thinking the worst of a person judging from first descriptions
I wonder what job the boyfriend ended up doing since he got fired for the in-office relationship
I like to think he got a job as a laborer, subsequently took his girlfriend's kid's van without permission, and got his tools locked up in an impound yard. 😂
@@burke615 I meant the type of labor work
Yo first one is genious. What a massive big brain moment.
But white carrots do exist...
Id love to see more nuclear revenge
Story 1: Carrots weren't always orange, they were in fact purple, brown or white, orange carrots are a genetic aberation caused by humans. White carrots are 100% a thing and even if they were daikon radishes in this case a white carrot looks nearly identical to a daikon radish, while it's sort of a weird assumption to make it's not a mistake that one would be unheard of making. White carrots are SWEETER than the orange, red, purple, and brown counterparts for those curious about the taste of an actual white carrot so the opposite of the lie OP said about them being LESS sweet.
I’m very confused with the second story OP apparently still having a good relationship with his ex. If his ex was still his wife at the time her boyfriend had the idea to kick OP out of the house and get the court order, doesn’t that mean she was cheating on him?
I like your triumphant laugh Dabney
The 90 degree head turns in story 5 killed me lmao
4th Story: That new manager is awesome.
The Op in the 2nd and 3rd story is an absolute Genius.
I absolutely LOVE your new awesome-manager-voice in the last story!!
I have messed with my friends by eating radishes, potatoes, onions (peeled of the outer layer), tomatoes, and green onions raw and acting as normal as one would eating an apple. Unnerved them and some tried the same and couldn’t contain their reactions over the taste. Weirdly enough, I enjoy doing so even now if I just have extras and want to munch on something
Reddit ruined me, too. Every story feels like an affair story or a douchebag acquaintance story
r/made me smile. lots of cute things on there.
I'm sorry, but the first story sounds like a freakin' cartoon skit. This is like Daffy Duck trying to prank Bugs Bunny and Bugs turns the tables.
Last story: every once in a great while there’s a good new manager story. It’s rare but not unheard of.
As someone who also has a 1.5hr commute which leaves me sitting in the car for 20-30 minutes before I have to go in, it really just becomes routine. It sucks sometimes especially when you get stuck in rush hour after your shift the whole way down the highway. But honestly, before my shift it helps get me ready for retail crazies. Instead of arriving at work and having to immediately walk inside and deal with customers, I have time to decompress and mentally prepare.
Nice bots over here
Story 5. They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
How is it possible that people don't like radish?! This just broke my world!
Story3 OP is my Hero! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 "Sure, I'll get the van out of impound when you pay the fees"
•pays fees•
"Yeah, I never said I would get *your* stuff out of impound" •drives away while waving•
13:55 -- You gotta love that psychologial warfare of customer service. This is how you win no matter what.
"Steal My Car? Lose Your Job!"
But... he didn't lose his job though?
He lost his job earlier in the story.
I had a very similar experience to the last story.
Worked at Walmart, and somebody's card got declined.
Same thing; guy said he knows that he has money, and that I need to put the transaction through.
I call my manager, and the guy starts calling us idiots.
Then my manager apologizes, and points him toward the ATM. He went to the ATM, and doesn't come back.
I don't know what he thought we could do about his insufficient funds, but he did leave after that, so I think he was just trying to save face.
2nd story: I am pleased to hear that the story turned out the way it did but, let's get real, most of the time, it is not going to turn out that way.
I'm the 1st view! That's awesome, 1st time I've ever been the 1st view on any video
"Your employee keeps declining my card!"
Sure because a cashier has nothing the flip better to do bro..
Chaining malicious compliance into prorevenge... glorious.

USSA regularly and randomly declines cards for those that are curious. Traveling and a gas station sends a 1.00 probe as part of your gas purchase to make sure the card is good? Declined. Replenish your groceries after tearing through them after roads are passable? That grocery bill is too high.-Declined.
I have to add my personal experience about how true this is. I went to a gas station filled up with gas no problem there the charge went through. I go inside to buy snacks my card was declined. I knew full well I had over 1k available on the card. luckily I just used a different card for the snacks. The next day the card that was declined was working normally like usual without doing anything. I fully understand the frustration. that said I also know that its not the cashiers fault if it gets declined, and I dont take it out on them.
@@ShadowDragon34 I take my frustration’s out on the source, e.g. USSA. The cashier has crap to do with the card. They got an earful that day. I made them cry, so they wanted to talk to my wife on the phone instead of the angry guy using drawn out syllables and colorful language.
Story 1: I hate when people trick others into eating something by lying about what it is. Like I’m sorry, but that could easily become a disaster if they have some sort of allergic reaction.
MIL got her just deserts but she should be careful on tricking someone to eat something she claimed as something else.
tbh raw radish can be delicious, i mean many people like wasabi so why not eat raw radish once in a while?
Yeah but the lack of warning would be ass LOL
“White carrots” are parsnips, usually, but this is definitely a horseradish.
The new manager one got me as well.
Story 5: Dude came from sales, he was probably waiting for a chance to tell a customer to shove it.
6:50 ? Yes you can!
