A policeman, with the nickname "the rapist"?! All of his colleagues are guilty as well. Horrifically disgusting, and neglectful, for shame.
Well said! Couldn't agree more!
That is exactly what cops are like.
Disturbingly, males with antisocial traits, aggression and violence, as well as those with psychopathic traits are actually specifically attracted to police, security, military roles.
Not my opinion, thereâs solid research on this.
It does make sense if one perceives those roles as a âsocially acceptable opportunityâ to take a position of dominance, power and control, engage with aggression, or even violence. Not only that but, being in a field dominated by men with traditional gender roles reduces the possibility that obvious and fucked up red flags like him being nicknamed âthe rapistâ will be taken seriously and reported.
Even his non-white colleagues? You would never call them out.
All the same .....Rotherham rochdale, Oxford Telford, Glasgow etc etc ...nothing done , no learning from mistakes . Just the usual from useless public services
Doesnât it feel like the police were acting like he was a man impersonating a police officer, he wasnât, he WAS a Police officer, impersonating a decent human being. Wtf đł thatâs what makes it so sick.
I remember hearing about this and they were saying it was a fake police officer
What makes a police officer a police officer??? All police officers are impersonating police officers. A pig (copper) is just more government control over you. You are not free. The only free people are government employees. All other people are ruled over by government employees.
He was a serving police officer, he presented a legitimate warrant card and was kidnapped using COVID 19 restriction powers....no way he was getting her in his car without both those things. Tbh any police officer enforcing COVID restrictions anyway isn't a decent human being.
@@ryanfraser167 yep if their weren't covid restrictions she could have been alive, the restrictions made her believe she was in the wrong and accepted getting arrested and into his car. The officer wouldn't have had a "valid" reason to stop her in the middle of the night and if he had she would have ask more questions to why he was stopping her for simply walking. She might have but up more resistant to being unjustly stopped by a police officer
This is why we call cops PIGS.
Fuck the police.
I canât believe the police actually laid their hands on women at that vigil. The optics were DEPLORABLE !
I donât think anyone in Britain will ever forget this case. Iâm glad heâll never get out but frankly no sentence will ever be enough
I'm glad he was given a whole-life sentence. Being in prison as a cop, for life, is a better punishment than the death penalty. However, it will never bring Sarah back, which is the real tragedy. He also harmed relations between the public and police further than ever, perhaps irrepairably
his life in jail will be a living hell.
Oh believe me, we won't.
whats even more sick is the fact him going to mac donalds after and him just going to shops and people walking past with no clue hes murdered sarah and was planning to set her alight and dump her same as the girl who served him the bags in B&Q what they were actually for
âHis colleague described him as calm and friendlyâ Is the lawyer absolutely out of his effin mind? This same man theyâre talking about was flashing to a random person in McDonaldâs and was called âthe rapistâ for jokes at work! Yeah I donât trust the colleagues opinions on their covert pervert. Matter of fact I would investigate them too!!
Absolutely agree it is a sign of moral bankruptcy and this should be flushed out of the system. To keep police as morally sound as possible.
Absolutely
Solicitors have to defend their clients any way they can, upto but not including lying? There's a very fine line, that many Solicitors cannot judge?
Well the text message group seems to differ?
That was not a big deal, he might have been drunk
That poor girl, it could have been any one of us because we're so conditioned from a very young age to trust and obey authority, especially the police. Horrific.
My first thought was that was his plan for future victims...to sedate them... Scary!
As it should be. 99% of the time you have to trust the Police. This man used exactly that confidence to lure Sarah in.
This case has at least opened a can of worms.
Rapists & sexually offenders are rife in the met, weâve since seen a met officer get life for rape, sexual assault, violence of a terrible nature, that had gone on for 20 years with 9 women making official complaints about him even when charged with rape he wasnât suspended just given reduced duties??
How many more are being covered for???????
â@@dogguy555Yeah, sure. Maturity has nothing to do with it. When one broadens one's horizons you begin to understand that "fear" of police is not common in most First World countries especially not in the UK where police don't use guns.
Worst part is, even if she knew better she didn't have a choice.
The thought of how scared and helpless Sarah must have felt when she realised she was in danger sends shivers down my spine
Do not walk on the street in London it is never safe. I am Londoner and my gosh I am lucky and I feel terrible for Sarah my heart really hurts just thinking about - never walk at night stay safe
I think she had some grasp that he had bad intentions, from his civilian clothes- which were all black. I donât think she was totally oblivious. I think the moment she encountered him, she was uncertain how to escape from him. She probably could not outrun him. She couldnât get away. Sadly, She was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

If he's being called a rapist, within police, that tells you enough.
I remember part of her motherâs statement saying that at 9.30pm every night she silently screams to herself âNO Sarah donât get in the carâ. The pain Sarahâs family and friends go through every day is unimaginable. This is such a truly horrific crime that words cannot convey the revulsion that pathetic creature who did this conjures up in all of us. RIP beautiful, innocent Sarah.
Goodness that is just heartbreaking đđ„
Heartbreaking đ
đą Heartbreaking...
Heartbreaking and Tormenting for her family... Every officer should consider every WOMAN they see or come to them with their concerns should be seen as Grandmother, Mother, Daughter, Sister and even Aunt ! Police Officers should undergo psychological evaluation every 5 years ... This man showed himself to a woman before this incident and yet no course of action was taken ... This could have saved her life....
@@sharkie2673 Absolutely, I agree so much.
This man was not impersonating a Police Officer, he WAS a Police Officer.
Exactly right, that point was missed by so many commentators on this murder. What was Sarah Everard to do when arrested by a serving police officer, displaying a genuine Metropolitan Police warrant card? She did what most law abiding females would do - she obeyed, believing she could trust the police. And she was handcuffed, abducted, raped and murdered by that pervert. There's only one thing more dangerous than a sexual predator - a sexual predator with police powers.
Cressida Dick had to go for multiple reasons. Firstly, Wayne Couzens (known to his colleagues as The Rapist), operated on her watch - what's more, he thrived, and became more depraved and dangerous on her watch. It isn't acceptable that she tried to claim he was simply one rotten apple in a sea of good 'uns - the underlying sexism in the force his vile crimes revealed, told its own sinister story. How many more potential Wayne Couzens are there in police uniform right now?
The Met was clearly a deeply misogynistic organisation under her watch (this video didn't even mention Couzens' revolting macho text/sex chats with colleagues about female officers, and sharing of online porn etc). While Cressida Dick can't be held solely responsible for her officers' inappropriate conduct, there's no evidence she did anything to acknowledge, least of all tackle the serious issue of misogyny in the force.
Equally shocking was Cressida Dick's disastrous mishandling of the demonstration by women against male violence. That such an event should have featured ugly scenes of male police officers manhandling and handcuffing female protesters - after one had done exactly that to Sarah Everard before raping and murdering her - beggars belief! If Cressida Dick was any kind of leader worthy of the name, she would have firmly instructed her officers to use a kid glove approach, and only take such action as the very last resort should violence erupt.
Those women were not violent. They were angry at the murder of another woman by a serving police officer, and they were bloody well right to be!
The whole case is strange... We have a chief of police with the surname of dick? A royal police protection officer who bought hand cuff keys on amazon for ÂŁ2.30???? Covid Rules that effectively created the circumstances for a serving police officer to abduct and murder? There is something else going on here way beyond this case that I just canât put my finger on... but the entire edifice of this rotten system seems to be contributing and producing complete lunatics from the system itself. Something smells off with this case⊠In addition i remember around the same time two sisters were found dead in a park in north west London and two police officers took indecent pictures of the victims and shared it with other police officers?????? These crimes are starting to sound like bizarre crimes you would read about in the 1900s.. Only this time i really do think the authorities themselves are part of it all? They are all psychopathic lunatics in my view.
And a very high ranking one who had access to fire arms and who would accompany the royal family to places. They love to deflect.
@@newleft2254 There's no evidence Wayne Couzens had ever worked directly with the royal family. If he had, you can be sure the royal-obsessed British press would have written reams about it (with photos, if any existed!)
The media made much of the fact Couzens was with the 'Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command' ('PDPC'), whose armed officers guard the Palace of Westminster/Houses of Parliament, the parliamentary estate in the heart of London with the highest security status (comprising the House of Commons, House of Lords, Westminster Hall, St Stephens Chapel and Big Ben).
But in fact Wayne Couzens spent most of his time in a far less prestigious environment, patrolling foreign embassy buildings. 'PDPC' officers have a strong anti terrorism brief, so carrying a firearm is crucial.
Many people were shocked that a man of Couzens' criminal depravity had cleared the various hurdles necessary to join the British police, and found a safe haven within that organisation. More concerning still, are the multiple allegations of sexual crimes against him that were reported to police but never even investigated. The earliest of these sexual allegations was made back in 2002 and was on his record - but despite supposed background checks and vetting, it didn't stop him being accepted as a special constable.
His sexual offending continued once he had become a full time, armed police officer. In 2015 a fellow motorist dialled 911 and reported seeing him driving around Kent naked from the waist down. Kent Police took no further action over the incident.
Three allegations were made against Couzens, just 2 weeks before he abducted and murdered Sarah Everard. It was alleged he exposed himself and masturbated in a McDonalds Restaurant in front of female staff on two occasions on 28th January 2021. And just 72 hours before the 3rd March murder of Sarah Everard, he again exposed himself at a fast food restaurant, and was again reported to police, along with his vehicle registration details.
The correct procedure when such an allegation is made against a serving police officer, is that they are immediately suspended from duties while an investigation is launched. But at the time of his arrest for murder, he had faced such no police investigation for any of those serious alleged incidents. Why not? It strongly suggests a sex offender being protected from consequences/prosecution, because of his police status.
That he'd apparently got away with those crimes (at best had police dragged their heels), is perhaps less surprising once you consider his sinister email and cellphone history. His electronic conversations show he'd found kindred spirits among his law enforcement colleagues. Vile, misogynist hardcore porn and 'jokes' were regularly shared between Couzens and fellow officers. That his nickname among his police peers was 'The Rapist', speaks volumes about him - and them. It was widely known he was attracted to violent pornography. Couzens, with his highly sexualised and contemptuous view of the female sex, was not a fish out of water in the police force - he felt right at home there.
The now former Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick, played the Wayne Couzens scandal in an all too predictable way. She claimed he was merely a lone bad apple, a freak, a one-off aberration, who by some utterly random and never to be repeated fluke, found himself not only wearing a police uniform and wielding police powers, but also carrying a powerful firearm while serving the nation's most high security section of the capital city. If only that were true - in reality Couzens' rise up the ranks of a horrible macho organisation was only too understandable!
True, his horrific kidnap, rape and murder of a female member of the public was thankfully a very rare event in the history of the British police. But his hateful, sexualised and predatory view of the female sex was already prevalent among his fellow officers - as those umpteen toxic, text, Whatsapp and email messages prove.
In the wake of the flawed investigation into the racist, 1993 murder of black teen Stephen Lawrence, police were subjected to a major investigation into 'institutionalised racism' in the force. The 1999 MacPherson Report was extensive, and found evidence of multiple police failings in serving its non-white citizens. There have been calls for a similar investigation into institutionalised misogyny in the police, but those calls have been ignored.
Misogyny is not a victimless crime, far from it. Misogyny brutally ends the lives of countless women and girls around the globe, every single year. Yet misogyny is still not legally recognised as a hate crime, and still isn't taken seriously - not even by civilised, democratic societies. Sexism certainly isn't taken anywhere near as seriously as racism rightly is. There simply isn't a cultural appetite to subject the police to scrutiny on this issue, and make it face sanctions for its misogyny. But there should be!
After the 2021 kidnap, rape and murder of a female citizen by a serving police officer, now more than ever police misogyny within the ranks should be acknowledged by police leaders, and subjected to the forensic examination of a public enquiry.
In a country where two females are killed every week at the hands of a man, women and girls need to feel confident they can trust male law enforcement officers. Serving policeman Wayne Couzens' murder of Sarah Everard, the total lack of action by police over multiple reports of his previous sexual offending against women, and the dark internet history between him and his colleagues, confirms they cannot.
Only one thing presents a bigger potential danger to a female, than a male - and that's a male with police powers.
He was impersonating in a sense that he was off duty and he didn't use his real police gear.
The vets he rang asking for medication to calm his dog down was a ploy to get that medication and use it to subdue his next victim as he didn't realise how hard it would be as Sarah fought for her life , as blood was found in the back of car . @@boop7313 I fully agree with that sentiment, 99.9999999% of traumatised people never hurt a soul.
@@boop7313 I agree in some cases this can be true, but not all. I was just reading today in fact about serial killer Danny Rolling, who suffered a traumatic home life under the abusive tyranny of a police officer father.
In his case at least If anything it made him gravitate towards even more violence. He committed among the most heinous murders ever seen when he went on a killing spree murdering 5 University of Florida students over just a few days in late Aug 1990.
He violently attacked & raped 3 of the 4 women, murdering them w/the huge K-bar military style knife used in the attacks.
He then posed their corpses in provocative positions for police to find. He even decapitated the one victim, placing her head on a shelf facing her headless body.
The scary thing is 1 year prior I actually lived at the Gatorwood Apts where some of the murders took place just 1 wing over. The one girl's male roommate was also overpowered & killed w/the K-bar.
Rolling was such a sick individual it really defies description, but thankfully he was executed in 2006 by a comaratively too humane lethal injection. But at least no parole for him & he will never kill again!
I donât focus on the criminalâs family for my thoughts and prayers.

Heâs only sorry for himself.
Thankfully he was caught because I have no doubt he would have escalated.
He would have done it again if he got away with it.

He did give the story of the Romanian gang who were threatening his family, and he had to get them a girl. It must have been the best he could come up with at short notice. The first time a man exposed himself to me, I was with my sister in the subway, I was 8 and she was twelve. Now at 29, I perfectly remember his smirk as he got off the train. Throughout the years I've been catcalled, harassed and followed. In my early twenties, a gross man started jerking off next to me in the subway, I'm a very reactive and angry person, yet this was so shocking all I could manage to do is get up and move away from him (he's lucky he hasn't met me today or that I didn't have a coffee with me, I would've emptied it on his fucking face). I believe I have seen the jerking-off guy in the subway a few other times, clearly, that's one of the places where he commits this vile act. The police and justice system need to understand that men who do such things are repeat offenders and the gravity of their crimes can escalate and reach horrible levels, as it did here with Sarah.

Apparently it was lawful and someone resigned. There are plenty of peaceful protests but they seem to treat it as illegal from the beginning. It angers me so much to think that this lovely lady met this fate. No one deserves this.
The problem here is they need capital punishment for crimes like this.
The excuse he gave when first questioned is absolutely disgusting!
He lied saying the (fictional) gang threatened to take HIS family if he didn't take /kidnap women..... So he knew what he'd done then came out with that lie knowing if his story was real how scared he'd be for his wife & kids if they were taken all the while knowing Sarah's family really were going through the same nightmare & reality of not knowing her whereabouts & her well-being. It's so despicable, I'm having a hard time trying to word exactly what I mean . Just a truly evil man & one who I think was engaging in crimes against women for many years.
It's the hypocrisy. He'd do anything to save his family from that fate; even if it meant delivering that same fate to others.
Yeah but I doubt they will investigate, he's already in jail for life so all it would do (for them) is make them look worse, obviously they don't care about the potential victims that may need counseling or other assistance.
He had the reputation & was covered for by colleagues that obviously didnât feel any alarm?
He shared vile hard core pornography with colleagues, so what happens to those that covered for him??
Itâs obvious that not only this creep but many others hide in plain sight in the met!!
The fact that he came up with a story that quickly should tell you about his level of calmness and psychopathic/sociopathic mind. Fully aware the level of heinous crime he just committed. Add to the fact that he took his family to the makeshift grave, to get off of reliving what he did, enjoying that his family is unaware whilst in his twisted mind enjoys his 'work'. No case has ever disturbed me this much. I think its because we have all been Sarah. I was followed home once after a midnight screening of Harry Potter and I almost jumped in a taxi but thought no, it'll be fine to walk. As he followed me and started touching my arm as I got near my house, all I kept thinking was "you are so stupid why have you done this, I can't believe I have done this, oh my God" - I know that's what Sarah would have been thinking that entire long car ride in handcuffs. She knew exactly what was going to happen like I did. Thank God I just made it home before anything happened.
Yes you should have jumped in the taxi because it sounds like the fact that he followed you home means he knew where you lived .
@gardensofthegods i so agree with you!! Id never sleep again if someone followed me home!!! I would never walk home that late i know you should be able to but you just cant thats reality.
Even getting into a taxi with a lone man is scary. I generally would rather cycle on my bike to avoid a male pedestrian attacking me. I normally avoid taxies with men. The other day I had no choice but to take a taxi with a lone man. I felt uncomfortable. My boyfriend took a photo of the taxi driver and the reg number before I took the taxi. Even when I past woodland on the taxi I wondered if the man would kill me and I would end up in that woodland. Just because a man is licensed taxi driver doesnt mean he still won't be a predator. A predator has a stronge urge and will take the risk. Even taxi drivers can be unsafe.
@@beaulieuonnp593 remember mr warboys? Reported dozens of times but police dismissed the dopey women as liars. Typically misogynist attitude to frightened traumatized women.

Whatâs unbelievable is Commissioner Dickâs response. Like I said in an earlier post, Iâm a Londoner and I have (quite frankly) DAMNING and shocking stories regarding the Met Police. This was indeed a watershed moment because this one womanâs death highlighted what a lot of Londoners (not just women) know to be true about the Met. They have recently gone into special measures and tbh, Iâm pleased! Itâs about time that the Met police actually do their job, be held accountable and have the strongest of measures in place to not just keep women safe but everyone that they serve and protect! My trust in the Met Police disappeared a long time ago, I wouldnât trust any of them and thatâs just dangerous!
Exactly, there r plenty more Wayne couzins in the met btw, a lot of ppl on his team shared similar views and glorified violence against women etc.
@@ryanfraser167 not just women, POC, vulnerable people, children/teenagers. The stories that Iâve heard regarding different types of people and their dealings with the Met Police is nothing more than disgusting.
How do you get away with having the last name of DICK? Wtf
Of all the women who report rape to the police, approximately 2% (thatâs ONLY 2 in every 100 victims who go through that added trauma!) ever see their case successfully prosecuted in court.
This statistic is true for years where, reportedly, âThe most prolific serial rapists in the history of Britainâ have been incarcerated!!
From all Ive heard of Commissioner Dick, she was not only grossly unqualified for the job, she had past actions in her record, that shouldve seen her booted from the force, yet due to political connections she was instead promoted to conviniently be in place to quash investigations into Tories and their donors. A perfect example of, why u do NOT want political creatures in such a job. The fish does indeed rot from the head, and she was but the latest rotten head.
Stories like these are heartbreaking. A woman going about her business, having no idea that her life is about to end. To make matters worse, she was murdered by a man she trusted. How sick! I cannot imagine what went through Sarah's head as she realized she was about to die. This is so tragic. Smdh.
How frightened she mustâve been. I canât even imagine.
The police should know by now that often peeping Toms, panty pinchers and exposers often go on to much more serious offenses. It's not a laughing matter. These subhumans usually have long strings of offenses behind them that have never been reported. Many victims don't bother because they believe the police are ineffectual in solving these crimes. Some are too embarrassed to go to the police. Some just laugh it off, not realizing how serious an offense it is and what it could lead to if not stopped. And the sentences for these crimes are pathetic anyway, not taken nearly as seriously as they should be.
Why? Why did this happen to her? A couple of cases have made me even more aware and cautious of my surroundings at all times. I hike every morning, now before the sun even rises due to the time of year. After Sarahâs case and more recently Eliza Fletcher, I am hyper aware of whoâs in front of me and any noises behind me. I wish we could feel safe at all times, itâs horrendous that we canât. I hope these 2 ladies Rest In Peace đ
Hyper awareness is good but unfortunately is not always enough. Because of your situation with needing to hike prior to sunrise I sincerely trust you are not wearing earbuds, do have a lovely can of bear spray with you, use a walking stick and best of all have a large, four-legged companion to accompany you. Please do not think I am making light of your comments. I too walk before sunrise, do not wear earbuds and have all of the above items with me. It's not paranoia, it's just being cautious. My four legged companion just happens to be the reason I'm walking so early and the rest is because I'm in my 70s and can't run so fast anymore from danger, be that a bear or a two legged monster.
Good advice for anyone. Also, I was really disappointed that everyone seemed to just pile on the FEW people in the police force and government who offered up practical advice and practicing caution as a way of mitigating the risks of encountering a predator like Wayne Couzens. Dismissing practical advice as 'victim blaming' is not useful and unhelpful at best, and, quite literally, deadly at worst! Ok, we all wish we could live in a world where even the most potentially vulnerable among us can move about freely and fearlessly in the world at large, but that's NOT the world we currently live in. People need real help that works TODAY if we are actually going to invest in stopping the next Sarah Everard from being victimized.
Situational awareness wouldn't have helped Sarah since he used his position as an officer to manipulate her. She couldn't have stopped this monster, really sad that his colleagues didn't take his previous behaviour seriously. They could have stopped this.
@@___3988 Ya I hate to single them out because it's not like anything they did actually rose to the level of a crime, but Couzens' coworkers and fellow officers are the ones who stood the greatest chance of preventing this murder. It happened through their inaction.
@@___3988 Even if someone happened to walk past the incident when Sarah was being âarrestedâ, would any of us have challenged him? I doubt it, all he would have had to have done would be to show his credentials and weâd probably go on our way. Iâm satisfied that this guy will never be able to do this again. This type of behavior is despicable. Sarah appears to have been a fine young woman who deserved none of this. We as men need to speak out against other men in our own lives who express sexist and racist views. It is not something to joke about because it is not a joke. When a person expresses these ideas whether in jest or otherwise, they become more that type of person. I say that I am satisfied with the sentence, but as an American I think he shouldâve gotten worse. Nobodyâs taxes should go to feed a pos like this.
The death penalty (at least in the US) is actually more expensive than life imprisonment. This has been shown in multiple studies. Longer trials, expensive appeals, more lawyers involved, criminal still sits on death row for 30+ years getting fed anyway. So it would be even worse for the taxpayer.

This case stuck with me for a long time when I first heard about it. It truly broke my heart. Seeing the footage of her in the convenience store, before it happened, just living her life and having a normal night with no idea of the horror that was to come. And then some selfish, monstrous, pathetic sack of sh*t uses his authority to trick her. Her hands were cuffed, she had no way to defend herself. What a coward Wayne Couzens is. He probably told her just to cooperate and sheâd be fine. And then to actually use his police belt to kill herâŠjustâŠdisgusting. Heâs one of the dumbest criminals in existence. He went to London doing âresearchâ a month before the crime for the perfect way to carry it out, and heâs a cop, so youâd think heâd know what to do and what not to do. It is well known among psychologists that some psychopaths/killers have a strong interest in the police force (uniforms, authority, dominance, weapons) and that the profession of police officer exerts a strong attraction to those individuals. My heart bleeds for you.
Thank you for covering this case in detail. I live in London and have never really felt safe here even when walking with my dogs. Itâs awful that as women we always have to be one step ahead in order to just make the journey home. I think the problem is systemic within our society as a whole. Last year I was travelling early in the morning to the airport via a taxi for a conference. A male friend of mine stayed over and travelled with me and as we got to the airport, some of my male colleagues immediately started gossiping about my ârealâ relationship with my friend and that it was âweirdâ that we travelled together so early in the morning. And then it dawned on me that of course thatâs what they would think. Because they have absolutely no idea what itâs like to not feel safe alone with strange men even when in a business setting. They donât have to think about covering every possible angle to just make it to the final destination without harm. All they worry about is some juicy gossip. And that really pissed me off. Most women I know (myself included) have been sexually assaulted to some degree throughout their life. I felt so guilty and blamed myself for trusting and vowed to never do this again. How are we supposed to meet people when we are fundamentally programmed to not trust anyone and essentially applying the âguilty until proven innocentâ logic? I know many decent men whoâd never do anything to hurt women. And I feel for them because people like Wayne Couzens make it harder for them not to be tarnished with the same brush, whilst always feeling guilty and terrible that their female partners, family and friends donât feel safe because of other men. We need a change in educating young boys and showing them by example how to treat women and girls. Why should women be told to not walk home alone? How about telling men to not rape and kill anyone on their night out? Itâs just f*cked up.
If you think telling criminals not to rape is a clever strategy to take, you seriously are not mature enough to live alone and navigate life on your own. You live in one of the most privileged places on earth and you sound like you live in war ravaged Congo. Hyperbole much?
Not raping and killing people is pretty self explanatory. You've said it yourself, 99% of men do nothing like this their entire lives. You won't stop this by telling children it's not okay to rape women, because those who are deranged to do this in the first place don't listen to advice. This problem will never go away, there is literally no solution to this. Men are just born stronger physically and any man who takes it upon himself to harass and kill women as some sort of power trip won't stop from fear of consequence. They know they'll go to jail but they do it anyway. The onus HAS to be on the women to learn to protect themselves. There is nothing we as a society can do to prevent this. This is my honest opinion about it. You can wait for a toddler to be old enough to understand and tell them ' we'll shoot you if you ever touch a woman' and some will do it anyway.
We can't even stamp out racism, after 500 years.
@@XBezerkerX I know what you are saying. I guess what I was saying is that not all men who hurt women are born that way but grow up in awful circumstances. Those can be, in my opinion, taught that hurting women isnât ok and if they see it at home but hear at school that it is wrong, maybe, just maybe, something in them will stop the cycle of abuse. The men that you are describing (labelled as psychopaths and sociopaths) will stop at nothing, as you say, and as things stand, nothing can be done there. We must always be aware of dangers that others can pose upon us but I just donât think that enough is done at present to prevent future generations of men and women.
@@lenniec7145 I also thought about the absurd numbers of Foster care children, particularly in the US. These kids grow up often without parents or without role models, obviously not all but statistically these are the ones who often lead a life of crime, no way we can ever stop this from happening unless we look at that system first and then what is the solution there? Violence is just a part of the human race, as much as we would like to think we could get rid of it, it's been with us since the dawn of time and still shows no sign of slowing down.
It's NATURAL for females to jump to wild assumptions ie their baseless assumptions upon seeing a male stranger; it's good that I don't live my life by your logic, or should I say lack of; I as a man of 5'3" walk past black men even at night yet I never assume they're going to stab and mug me; when someone is intent on harming you their body language and facial expression will betray them.
This is a perfect example of why I will ALWAYS be grateful for CCTV.
I wish my country had more of them.
Where are you from?
French and always wanting to have more...
But it's expensive...
In Paris there seems to be more and more... Not in the street but in some public places... Like the metro...
I think there is a city in the south where they have live and monitored cameras operated by the police force, in hot places of the city...
Have you seen Minority Report? Or have you ever heard of Rosa Koire? It works until power doesn't care about individuals.
It's catches crime but rarely prevents it
@@olgakipke3720 yeah it's a 2 way street
No thanks. Don't need the government watching every move i make.
Ad a woman who has suffered sexual assault this case deeply disturbed me. A colossal abuse of trust. As a woman I am fed up of not feeling safe. RIP Sarah.
I'm really sorry you suffered you didn't deserved to be abused.
ALL women have suffered some sort of SA.
I really like your voice,it makes the crime facts you are telling that much more interesting and you do real justice to these cases.
You should be proud of this, what an incredible job youâve done telling Sarahâs story.
It's horrible when anyone commits an act of extreme violence like this against anyone and it's even worse when a police officer or somebody else that people believe they can trust does it.Absolutely horrifying.
A woman didn't do this extreme violence, preying on someone for sexual kicks.
Sadiq is so slimy for politicizing this tragedy.
Insightful and detailed content with an excellent overview of the impact of this terrible crime with great use of primary sources again. Well done Truly Criminal. Your site is really improving.
I applaud you for the service you have done for her story. Thank you.
This is incredible timing, Iâve been going on a binge watch marathon of these videos. Youâre a fantastic narrator.
Lol I binge watch this channel all the time... I think Ive watched each vid at least 5 times... đ
I agree
I fell asleep to one last night, now watching this one.
'incredible timing' you mean pure coincidence
If you like true crime, and you haven't yet checked out *_MrBAllen_* telling the strange, dark & mysterious in story format or Mike "giving it a goo" on *_ThatChapter,_* you'd probably enjoy them as well.
Thank you for sharing her story.
A really excellent and comprehensive documentary, many thanks. đđâ€â€
I have a 27 year old daughter. I canât imagine what it would be like to loose her to such a horrific crime. My heart breaks for her family. This man was a police man. There were red flags along the way about his behaviour and nothing was done. I hope this disgusting excuse of a human being never sleeps well again. Hopefully he will get whatâs coming to him every day in prison
Bringing kids into the world carries a risk of danger Being childfree I won't have a kid who will be a victim or a murderer.
Unfortunately thatâs not how prison works. But we can dream
they will protect him in prison. he will be in a seg unit, not general population.
Almost as shocking and disgusting as his crime is the fact that being sentenced to a whole life tariff is such a rarity!!! When Colin Pitchfork can be released after his crimes Iâm gobsmacked at the criminal justice system in England!
Sadly⊠itâs like that in many many many places.
@@gabygaby5701 nope only leftist ones. USA isn't, they believe in the criminal being kept away from society. Not believing in criminals feelings.
Justice just doesn't exist in England. I heard of a case a few months ago where a mum who abused and killed her toddler was aloud to be released from prison.
@@lucyb3701 so very sad!!
One of collin pitchforks victims is my cousin linda mann đȘ He is a vile human being hes already gone back to prison cause hes been harassing girls ! Mark my words hell do it again đ€
One of the best crime channels on CZcams - thanks
This and your Mr. Kipper video wouldn't look out of place on the TV! Most of your videos are amazing, but those two stand out! Thanks
I know a lot of those âdo this or that tips to not get nabbedâ. It has been drilled into me since I was a young girl. Itâs incredibly sad and unfortunate that I canât go for a walk or run without my large dog in order to feel safe. That I try not to wear my hair up when put in public by myself so that itâs harder to grab. Or that I have to have my keys ready and lock the door as soon as I get in my car. I know many many more. I wouldnât know where to start on how to change society so I or any other woman felt safe. Iâm not playing the victim, this is just life for a woman.
Another great job, ladies! Always love your videos!
That's the point-- the onus is not on women to stop violence against women; the solution is for men to simply not commit violence against women. It's not on us to convince them they shouldn't, it's not on us to make it less easy to commit violence against us, it's just on us to demand harsher sentences for such offenses. Maybe that would discourage them . Apparently it's not enough to just know it's morally wrong.
@@TheBeezusjones couldnât agree more.
@@TheBeezusjones another childlike comment for women to keep making. OK you go tell those psychopaths not to hurt the ladies then. Go wagging your finger! Or do you think all men are rapists? I bet you're one of those that claims not to put all people in one group into stereotypes too.
The dulusions of women is why we keep getting attacked. Do you reason with grizzly bears too? Morally berate them?
@@TheBeezusjones what you said is so ridiculous and ignorant, you generalize and act like every single guy on the planet commits violence against women whilst blatantly ignoring that women have committed violence against women. Men like me are sick of women like you demonising us and treating us like we are criminals when we don't do anything wrong towards women because of the actions of one person
@@d.mcfadden7343 lol no one is demonizing anyone. And no one ever said women never abuse/ harm anyone. And no one ever said all men commit violence against women. Learn to read. I'm simply calling out the stupidity of the notion (which many people have; I'm not inventing it) that women are somehow responsible for the violence that is committed against them because they wore a certain thing, or went a certain place, or went somewhere alone, or went anywhere at night, or drank anything at all, or said anything at all. And I am commenting on the fact that violence against women typically gets ridiculously short sentences, if any at all.
This was such a strange time
The whole lockdown was just surreal
This was also around the time the two sisters were found dead in a park in north west London and two police officers took indecent pictures of the victims and shared it with other police officers
The lockdown brought out the worst in people
Agreed.
Everything went a bit mental.
No lockdown just gave people more time to notice the kind of shit that was going on, itâs always happened imo
The lock down brought out the worst in people WHO WERE ALREADY SICK IN MIND and DERANGED!!!
I think thats important to note..
Also..:)
It might be strange time for youâŠas a man
For a girl it is more likeâŠdangerous u fortunately
Men have to understand this.
Its not just âstrangeâ its fucking mental and serious.
And if you ever caught a man catcalling a woman or girl in front of you or if u ever withness a fellow mate harrassing a female in your vicinity, or if u ever realize laughing at women being humiliated you can step in on the womenâs side. Its fucking tiring to defend ourselves non-stop!!! everyday
So for me, an average day can also be âstrangeâ but more like fucking irritating cos men usually do nothing if a woman is harrassed , other women âŠ,well here unfortunately they rather turn their heada away not to get in trouble i guess
But it doesnt matter if its a woman or a man they have to step in if witnessing anything âstrangeâ
The way like I always show âim here , i can here everythingâ and then I call out frustrated parents shouting with and humiliating their little kids in disgusting ways who are terrified to death while travelling on train/bus or in a shop wherever.
That was crazy as fuck like how sick do you have to be to do that shit, and these are mixed in with the people who we are supposed to call in our worst times.
Great format/channel!! Keep up the great work! Love the content! I'd like to add that the Commissioner's message was very apropos and spot on in terms of a police PR response. Also, I don't understand how that statement from the North Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner was in any way victim blaming????
Today I learned a new idiom: a watershed moment. Thank you.
It's amazing how many times these creeps try and use the ' some bad guys told me to do it or they'd hurt me or my family' excuse. What makes them think ANYONE will believe that BS ??
It is always what they say when they are caught with drugs at the airport. Lindsay Sandiford and Melissa Reid were two fairly recent ones.
yes that old cheesy line, it weren't me gov, it was someone else
So many of these cases from the UK end with investigations into police conduct, yet nothing seems to be done or to change. This case was absolutely disgusting and preventable.
Great video and well presented !
Thank you for such a detailed, respectful layout of this case. I had heard of Sarah and what happened but never knew the full scope of the POS who took her life. RIP Sarah.
