  • In January 2019, 21 year old university student Libby Squire went on a night out with friends. When she was turned away from the club, friends booked her a taxi and gave the driver her address.
At 3:00am however, they realised she hadn't gone home. She was reported missing, and within a couple of days, it was the biggest investigation in Humberside Police's history...

How do you find someone lying in the snow, clearly drunk or ill and not call an ambulance?!

  • @lifesyphon1

The detectives who review and decipher the cc tv are like super human. I can’t make out a single thing in those videos. There’s a road and what could possibly be headlights
I mean it’s really incredible work these folks do.

I'm 59 now but I've always held the motto that "if you go out together, you go home together" - for safety reasons.

That creep didn't like being portrayed as a bad person. Hello.... You ARE a bad person!!!

I’ve done the same walk from Welly blackout drunk with my equally drunk friends. I was very lucky nothing that bad ever happened. I went to uni here and still live there. I live near the memorial, and this case will haunt Hull forever. The amount of campaigning and interviews her mum has done since is a lot, she’s a very brave woman! She even requested to meet her daughters killer in prison but the coward refused 😡

The escalation in this case is frightening. I see a lot of people blaming Libby's friends but I can't help but think if it hadn't been Libby, it would have been someone else. He was clearly stalking the streets in search of a victim. He is the only one to blame here. And, I hope he never sees the light of day again

Libby’s my colleagues niece. It’s really heartbreaking to see the effects on the family such a tragedy leaves. To this day they keep her memory alive...she never deserved what this disgusting monster did

Seeing that monster smile and laugh it off, infuriates me. So glad he's off the streets. My heart breaks for Libby, and for what she had to endure💔

I can’t believe not one person went with her to make sure she made it home safe if she was that drunk. How sad

The fact that this monster had everyone close to him fooled - his wife, his mother, his co-workers. None of them knew him for who he actually was and it’s sickening. My heart goes out to Libby’s family and friends, I can only imagine the pain they are going through.

Lisa Squire is an extraordinarily generous and brave lady, to want to meet her daughter’s murderer without any hatred is a testament to her grace and class. That he ultimately refused to meet her blaming her for him being branded a bad person shows what a pathetic, deluded coward he is. My heart goes out to Libby and her remarkable family. ❀

I love how the focus is always on the victims as the beginning of these docs.I love how they talk about their personalities, families and their dreams.

It’s the fact that several people spotted her and did try to help

This case really upsets me😱 What a awful way to die. In this case a prison is just not enough of a punishment. RIP Libby.

This is why you NEVER leave a person under the influence alone - you never send them back home or anywhere else alone. Someone should've escorted her, this is common sense. For such a social and likeable girl it's unreal that none of her friends did the right thing

So many people hear screaming and do nothing. Happens all the time. Unbelievable.

You know what I realized. And it's the reason your content is so top-notch. A lot of YT TC stuff is about murder but focuses on grizly facts and doesn't show (enough) human empathy for the victims. And other times, it's the reverse.

Poor Libby. I wish she had taken her phone that night. We are all so vulnerable after a few drinks. Take care of yourselves and those around you when out and about. RIP 🕯🕊đŸŒč
