As a person with major mental health issues (CPTSD, anxiety, severe depression), it makes me so angry when people think it's a "get out of jail free" card for horrific actions. Mental health problems aren't your fault, but they ARE your responsibility. Turning down all treatment, especially in this day and age when it's gotten a lot better, stigma-wise, and then being like "OMG, not my fault! Bad stuff happened to me!" is complete BS.

He waited 20 minutes to call 999, yet he still recalled details of the incident to the operator, but then when he got to the station he started to forget? I think he was putting on an act. Also, if you yourself recognise that you are not 'right' and are telling your wife that you are struggling, and she tells you to seek professional help, but you choose not to, you need to take responsibility for choosing to not seek help.

The doorbell cam footage shows tragic Jennifer Chapple, 33, days before she and IT teacher husband Stephen, 36, were stabbed inside their home after a feud with neighbours over parking. The couple were stabbed after an apparent parking row. ***Pictured: The victims' spot outside their home***
Yet, Jennifer could have been a wee bit more courteous to her neighbor and not blocked their car in.
Jennifer and her husband had TWO cars, the neighbor had one that she continually parked DIRECTLY in back of. Just how were they supposed to get out?

As someone who suffers from PTSD myself, when I read up on Colin he has all the hallmarks of suffering a PTSD episode; previous signals of paranoia, dillusion; which ultimately ended up with taking out the threat. It's frightening really to think of all the young highly skilled men who have been trained to kill walking around the UK streets since Afghanistan and Iraq ready to bust. I am very sorry to the Chapple family and maybe they can sue the British government for not looking after former servicemen & women who suffer from this debilitating condition and who then wreck havoc; no one wants to live with PTSD, and people shouldn't have to live beside it, while the government doesn't do enough to help ex-servicemen. What a truly tragic incident. I suffer with Major Chronic Depression among other issues, but would never dream of doing anything terrible to anyone. Having said that, I think it is paramount that people serving in the forces have access to proper mental health services, especially when they have served in war type situations. It is so sad to know that those little boys will grow up without their parents, just too sad. I am sure they will have much love around them from other family.

Hey let's go, tomorrow I'll walk around with a knife in my pocket, say "hello" to everyone and the people not answering will be stabbed on the spot for not doing "what a nice person would have done". Awesome logic 👍 "This would not have happened" oh nooo, because of course EVERYONE who has a feud with their neighbors automatically has to think "oh this person is gonna murder me over some damn parking lot!"... again, super logic. As if it was the man who killed them who was at fault... you know, for killing them.

Two children were orphaned and two children lost their father as the result of a senseless and horrific incident which those poor children will have to live with for the rest of their lives. It’s also extremely disturbing that Collin’s abusive father still believes he has control and feels completely comfortable ordering neighbors out of the Chapple home! Yes, his physiological problems may have started with his father but they were brought to light way more drastically following his service in Afghanistan. It's all too common, the amount of PTSD and many other psychological problems with servicemen and women. Violence, depression, suicide, dissociate personality disorders, etc, etc. More needs to be done to help people who have struggled to reintegrate into society at normal level following tours of duty. It is the war that messed his mind up.
