For a guy who's channel is largely about pointing out scams in your city, you sure do a great job of making me want to go someday!
*whose
Trully happy you didn’t mentioned Bulka, Želva, or Mikro Farma, so we can still enjoy burgers without too many tourist 😅
I see you're a burger connoisseur... a perfect "just as good, but less known" list. And now, shhh, don't let anyone know! :)
thanks for the comment, gotta check them out
you are mentioning it now lol. i think these guys are heroes, never in my life i would put videos on youtube recommend places for tourists to eat where i live now. they would close or would become so expensive that i would not be able to eat there anymore, so i just prefer to keep a low profile. but kudos for the courage!
Wow, now I gotta go to prague and try those, imma make sure to tell everyone I know as well
Now we know ;)
I want to go to Prague SO BAD! Because of you, honest guide.
Same with me! I already visited 2 months before but aaaaa
I just ate dinner a few hours ago and I am still stuffed BUT I do really want to try those amazing looking burgers, RIGHT NOW :)
Do it! I went with my girl who's originally from Czechia (we live in the US) for my first visit last August, and we just booked another trip 😁
Its a nice place! Just sometimes get looked down on in regards tipping and some restaurants add more money onto the bill.
@@swedishveganshow wtf really? Visste jag inte.
13 minutes about burgers? This episode is dedicated to me
haha nice one!
Nope … me 😂
It's dedicated to all fat and soon dead people.
No. Me! American born and raised on a cattle farm. 🖐️🎤
The best channel about Prague, and it's impressive how you can squeeze content from your country till now.
Surprised you didn't have Naše maso on this list. Their burgers are simple but amazing.
Totally agréé !!!
I love honest guide but it's crazy that he didn't go to Nase Maso. That's why I go to Prague each year.
Yep! They're the best.
Agreed.
As a local guy , born and grown up here, I have finally tryied Naše Maso burger - I have heard sooooo many good rewievs - but I was soooo disappointed how the burger was TOTALLY TASTELESS !!!!! JUST A TOURISTIC SPOT - OVERPRICED and missing not only typical Czech taste - but any taste!!! As a local I have no reason to go there anymore!
(I have no problem to pay high price for a really good food) So I deeply understand taht this Honest Guys did not placesd Naše Maso to their TOP5 list - nor TOP 100!!!
There are sooo many amazing and heaven-tasted places all over the city itself - not just in the touristic area - and Naše Maso is NOT among them at all, guys!!!
I'm going to Prague in 2 weeks after I have been watching these legends for YEARS. And I don't think I could have survived without them
Thank you guys for that episode, I asked for that episode. Thank you again.
I was in prague 4 years ago with my wife, the day we arrived we found dish (in their old location) because it was near our hotel and it was one of the best burgers i‘ve ever eaten. Truly deserves their spot here! ❤
Nejlepší Content❤️❤️❤️
Pozdravem se Stuttgart
Fries, bacon and maple syrup sounds absolutely fantastic!
Nice vid but i think this deserves a part two.
Kaiser Franz - Right across the street from Dish, their cheese fries are heavenly
Hadog - Located at Balabenka, best onion rings in Prague
Cafe Palanda - Zlatnicka, masters of naked burgers
Kantyna - It's kinda criminal that this place is missing from part one since you guys recommended Kantyna in other videos
Mr. HotDog/Bejzment used to be pretty good but i haven't been there post covid
Definitely going all those ❤❤❤❤ Can't wait have a bite, thank you guys and God bless
I´ve been to Praha twice and both times I went to Sad Man's Tongue and when I visit next time I will probably go there for the third time. That is how good their burgers are. Just love them.
I was drooling watching you guys handle the burgers and beer. I’ve discovered that eating food that has maple syrup on it followed by beer 🍺 is the perfect flavor combination.
I'm currently for Erasmus in Prague and I have listened to all of your recommendations! I hope to see you one day here (although Prague is so big)
Can’t wait to try some of these this summer!
What about the Sad Man’s Tongue? That was an amazing burguer experience in Prague.
Really liked that Honza was in front of the camera more often ;). Nice format and combo. Like the vlog-style.
Dobre baby ! Great video… heaven.. eating burgers all day ! 😍… love the way you go from “ man “ “dude” into Czech 👏👏👏
Dish and The Tavern defaintly have very good burgers, but Cafe Palanda tops them all! We need part 2 :)
Watching I was thinking 'I hope Honza gets to have a burger' then he popped up on camera haha. Good to see you both having a lot of fun with this :)
Sad Man’s Tongue for the win. The absolute greatest by a huuuge margin. Been pretty much everywhere in Prague for burgers. Sad Man’s Tongue outperforms all.
you convinced me, I'll try it
No.
U r awesome.....
U presented Czech so beautifully.👍
My favorite burgers in Prague are at sad man’s tongue, truly delicious and creative Czech inspired ones too!
so true - Sad man´s tongue is my top favorite. Best burger i had in life !
Are you paid to write this? :D
@@AlexienKa Oh no :-) would be perfect to get paid for it... was there in march and it really was the best burger ever for me. I hoped to see it at this Burger-Video from Janek and Honza... but maybe next time.
Just be aware of the scam ATM which is inside the store and the weird coincidence that the place is not accepting card.....
@@ChrFot yes, but.. Sad man's tongue doesn't earn any money as 'rent' from the atm company, so that the fee on the atm is actually the lowest of all the classic ATMs in Prague. That was their policy and what they negotiated when looking for an atm to put in there. Also, they explain to every guest that comes how to use the atm so they don't pay more than they should.. But yes, the fact that they don't accept card is a bit inconvenient. On the other hand, after eet was shut down many places went back to only cash, including some of my fave places in Prague. It is what it is.
We really liked 'The Street Burgers, Street food and Cocktails Prague 2' as well.
Ok, I'll just drop my favorite burger here - Mad Runner. Every time I try something else, I always come right back to it.
Guys, thanks again for some new recommendations! For me the best places are Be Silly, and I at Namesti Miru, in place of Craft there is Hoxton smash burger which is pretty good. Just noticed they have cheddar sauce pour option to bun. Definiately a specialty. Also not in the center but what I love is nearby at Budejovicka: Jacobs burger. Better than a lot fancy one.
I visited many burger restaurants in Prague and I must say Craft is one of the very best of them!
Hi Janek , i am Argentinian , we will visiting Prague in September , i hope i can see you on the streets of Prague , i am making notes from your videos to enjoy the city , thanks for the way you help people like me planning our vacations , very god job Honest Guide .
The Street - burgers and cocktails, that's my go to, but thanks for recommendations, will try :D
"Hey Janek and Honza, how many burgers would you like?"
H&J: "yes"
XD
Thank you for all your videos. When I travel to Prague, I will be well informed about about which tourist traps to avoid and where to go instead.👍
Great video man. Can't wait to visit Prague. High on the list 😂👊 🇬🇧
This year I just have to go to Prague. Thanks for all the good tipps!
For me Prague city is the most beautiful place I ever been! I’m looking at your videos just to be somehow there! Anyway… the best burger place I ever been is The Sad Man’s Tongue, in the center of Prague. The service was great, not pricey at all, and we had great burgers, ton of beers and some strong alcohol made from cherry that I don’t remember what was it!
Visiting from Argentina in June. This is great information. Thank you.
Tried all of these burger places but Bulka Burger is definitely number one!
stumble upon this channel today, and i can't stop watching
Went to Dish years ago following your recommendation on a previous episode. I still think about that burger…❤😂
Tavern and Dish are definetely some of the best burger places. I haven't tried the other places but I definetely will. BTW if you go to the tavern get the brownies. They are amazing.
Before watching the video, from my experience, one the best places that i went to eat a burger was želva burger. Easily one of the best experiences I ever had with burgers and I recommend everyone to go there if you are ever going to fly to Prague. You won't be disappointed, trust me.
Our most beloved burger place in Prague is definitely Hillbilly. You should consider doing a part 2 with other places that people recommend here.
Hillbilly best 👌
FatFuck and SmashBurger are the best
@noelstrecker5414 very good but there is another section in the comment section for those 👌
I have been living here for 5 years now, and had my fair share of burgers. Also tried all these places, except Fatfuck, but in my oppinion Sad Man's tongue is absolute the Best Burgers.
And Honza, they also have their own great beer.
When we were in Prague a few years ago, we really enjoyed Sad Man's Tongue. They had some deliciously themed burgers. Plus when we were there, they had your book behind the bar.
Yes! So glad that someone mentioned Sad Man's Tongue. My absolute favourite place in Prague. Ended up there pretty much every night when I visited back in Janury 2020 as it was right opposite my hotel. The Hendrix burger is supposed to be absolutely incredible. Can't remember the name of the burger I had but it was amazing!
Hillbilly the best burger in Prague ! That was the first reason to travel back to Prague for a second time !! Also forgot to mention , that Honest Guide made me travel to Prague !!! So thank you for everything Janek , and Honza !!
12 days and counting until I visit Prague 😆 I've been binge watching your videos in preparation, thank you! 😊
Your going to love it!!! Prague is the most amazing city. Beautiful, the people, the food, just amazing.
where are you coming from? travel by land or air? how is Prague so far?
Even though I am czech - I am still watching these videos and I need to visit FatFuck as I was not able to find smashburgers in Prague on my own.. Good job guys :)
Smashed Burger.. at Victoria Zizkov tram stop
And also Mad Runner in Zizkov and Nusle.
The best burger I had was at the Delmart (I think) right next to the Franz Kafka rotating head. You choose your toppings and they make it there. It was amazing ❤ will definitely try the other places when we go back in December 😊
After ten years of annual visits to Prague, we discovered U Čížků, on Karlovo Náměstí. Best burger we've ever had (we live in New York City). If these are better, I have no words!
Prague has four great butcheries that all make amazing burgers, Nase Maso (best burger in Prague imo), Kantyna, Real Meat Society and Mikrofarma Praha. Showcasing these four would be a good video.
100% agree
I’m in Prague… Absolutely love it… it is soooo beautiful… I don’t want to leave
Looks good. I also love that you take off your hat when you enter
Definitely Dish is the best burger in Prague. Not only all the ingredients are top notch, but they are very innovative with their burger creation as well. I highly recommend the Avobacon burger.
Honza is such a cool name. It's very good to get an appearance from the man himself.
Next Episode "The best Pizza🍕 in Prague" hopefully😁
Thanks guys, all these burgers and places look really good. We will check them out the next time we are back in Prague.. For my taste, I like my burgers cooked a bit more.. How do you say " well cooked or medium well " in Czech?
Joy Burger in Holesovice is great as well. They serve amazing steaks too! Jummy!
When I was living in Prague the best burger I tried was at John Polpo, in their former location. An absolutely amazing burger and fries. I think they changed to a new location and now they are temporarily closed. I don't know what happened but I hope they can come back someday.
Why am I watching a video about burgers at 2am?? I'm hungry now! Amazing video though!
The burgers from the restaurant in the park in kbely, are something else, thoroughly recommend 👍
From the video, I'd definitely like to visit all the places you visited, as they all have a different vibe about them. What's better than a burger and beer.
Waiiiit a moment. Definitely a part 2 needed. I need to try all of these, but my favorite so far I will save for later unless someone puts it in the comments :) the place actually get meat from the states! And Australia:)
A follow up. While fat**** is good I wouldn’t say it’s the best. Maybe my 2nd place for now! The 80’s music was cool. Not cool was the Euronet atm in the front and Wi-Fi…needed it. Jalapeño mayo though is a must for the fries. Will come back though as the burger price is good too.
I lived in Prague for two years recently, and my experience was terrible burgers wherever I sampled. Thanks for these suggestions! Pizza was also very hit and miss...
When we visit Prague (roughly once a year) we always go to Beef bar, where they serve (along with the steaks) delicious burgers.
Looking forward to my 21st visit to Prague 😊
Nice, now we will have to squeeze ourselves to find a spot on those because will be full of tourists :)
Going to Prague end July, so got to make a decision about where to go :D
Where can I get the shirt with the Czech locomotive. It looks really cool!
Hi! Where did you buy your Brejlovec-sweater?
These vlogs really make me want to come to Prague. Thanks guys.
I live very close to prague so I'm gonna hop there next month
A great video. I am watching from Sri Lanka. We don't have good burgers for reasonable prices here, sadly.
Amazing 🔥🖐️
Nice T 478.3 on your shirt, Janek!
I lived in Prague from 2010 to 2015. I moved from Kansas which is the center of US burger culture. I’ve been back to Prague annually since 2015. I lived near The Tavern and ate there often. It’s excellent. I also ate at Dish in their original location. Also excellent. Over the last 13 years I have seen the explosion of burger culture in Prague. I love burgers but I feel this will lead to the fattening of the locals as it has in the US.
With our consupmtion of beer per capita we R fat enough already...
Try Podolka the one at farmers’ saturday market. It’s a hidden gem for me🤩 I ate more than 5
I would also suggest Bulka Burger Bar in Zizkov. Amazing burger in a very reasonable price.
Must goto Prague one day! A trip on the motorbike I think....
P.s I love Irish pubs and burgers. Plus the history!
12:16 "Unbribable by ginger vodka shots or chocolate cakes" That's why you're honest; you could bribe me with a chocolate cake like that (6:24) any time 😂 Also, it seems that "burger patty" in Czech is "karbanátek", whereas the full dish (patty in a bun) is just either "hamburger" or "hamburgr". Edit: karbanátek is a specific kind of burger patty (made in the Czech style); a more generic term would be "burger(ová) placka".
There's a difference, karbanátek has extra ingredients in it such as chopped onions, garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs or pieces of bun dipped in milk, salt, pepper, marjoram and other seasonings or ingredients depending on personal recipes. They're served with potatoes or potato mash/purée as opposed to in a bun as a burger patty would.
@@supEnoc I guess a better translation for "karbanátek" would be "Czech style burger patty" then. In that case, it seems there's not a Czech word specific for the burger patty (it would also be called hamburger/hamburgr). Edit: it seems you can specifically refer to the patty as "burger(ová) placka" (I've found it on a restaurant menu).
Great video. But you forgot to try the best burgers in Prague - Hillbilly!😋
A great place is in Žižkov, called Želva Burger (Burger Turtle). The bun is very soft, It's almost like a cake, and they have a selection of small beer breweries.
I saw the background of the kitchen and believe me I would never order anything there again
Im peckish now..
Heres a question , where is a safe place to park a motorbike while visiting the city? Not sure if ive seen a video on where is good/safe to park..
Janek, you are so charismatic. You remind me of the beloved carton character of Burt as in Bert and Earnie from the Sesame Street series from America.
Are there any scammers who are Czech? It seems like most of the street scammers are people from outside of Czechia and who come here to make a quick buck by scamming tourists?
I love burgers! If for any reason you will be in Hurghada (Egypt) I can show you 2 places, where for my personal opinion in my world top burgers list - #2 and #3 burgers!
My fave used to be Tom's burger close to Masarykovo nadražì and they also have their own beer that I liked.
Burger from Nase Maso was one of the best I've ever had in my life. Pretty surprised you didn't mention it in the video.
BlackDog was my go to while I was there in 2020 because I was staying in the Dancing House during the lockdown
Appreciate the reviews. For me though, I can have a gourmet burger everywhere else. I come to Prague for local food.
One burger of these will get me from Old Town Square to the Castle and back!
Is Sad Man's Tongue still open? Had some AMAZING burgers in there a few years ago. Fabulous place.
yes, I was there a few weeks ago
I still miss Yes Burger in Zizkov. I didn’t know that Dish have moved - I haven’t been there in a few years.
May I know the location at the beginning of the video with nice ? cherry blossom at the background?
Thanks guys
U Pecků in Vysočany, makes a nice Burger. Good atmosphere and next to metro
Visited sad man's tongue Burger and bistro today and can honestly say that both the choices and service was amazing.
Add this to your bucket list if you are visiting Prague
Could you a similar thing on traditional czech dishes, like best place for svickova, gulas, pigs leg and roast duck?
Does it has to be a creditcard when you pay in a restaurant? Or can you also pay with your national „local“ bankcard? Otherwise I have to go to an atm or changestore…
More screen time for Honza
Also try Hadog! (Palmovka)
100% recommend Delish in Plzen!
Fiasko!
