Did you get it for a particular reason? I’m debating doing this but it seems like a super short term thing, like I feel instant relief but it doesn’t actually do anything for me
@@payge6487 At the time I was driving heavy trucks, which were super noisy. The ears react to high noise levels by making a lot of wax as a defense, in my case I was going deaf from the wax build up. The dusty work environment compounded the situation by mixing in a lot of dirt, which is why I think my doctor knew I needed to have them flushed out. Other people I know in similar situations had the same problem.

There's a Japanese comedy show where Japanese celebrities get prank called from their manager's phone with an English speaker claiming to have found the phone, and having the Japanese celebrity deal with the sudden situation of needing to speak English. One episode had an AKB48 idol and when asked "are you famous?" she said "so-so!"
She asked if he spoke Fuzhou hua, which is a dialect from Fuzhou province. It’s a lot more impressive that even knowing mandarin.

My mom was also there lol. Earbuds everyday for like 5-7 hours also doesn’t help but it helps get through the day at work
Yeah, a nurse told me - after getting a particularly big piece of earwax removed from my ear (with "irrigating") - that I really shouldn't wear in-ear buds nor use q-tips. Apparently, my swimming every week had been the thing to clean my ears, but covid lockdown put a stop to that and so my ear started hurting and my hearing suffered a bit. I feel like the painful moments are from the earwax that hardened and really got stuck to the flesh of your inner ear. Them trying to pull it out would be like peeling off dead skin or a scab, so the area that had been finally exposed from that section would feel really sensitive.
I don't know actually, just guessing.
No, the ear canal skin becomes thinner the deeper it goes, so that means the nerves are more 'exposed' and it honestly depends on the person, if they clean their ears often it will feel really soothing but if they don't then it will be painful lol, that's why doctors dont advice digging your ears

Having a lot of earwax, so long as it’s not affecting your hearing or blocking your canal, is actually a good thing. There’s a reason that it’s there in the first place: it’s an important factor in keeping your body’s equilibrium in tact and it helps to keep foreign objects like dust and shampoo from getting too deep into your ear and/or blocking your ear canal. It’s your ears last kind of defense from infection and unwanted intrusions. They are possibly the least appreciated part of our bodies, bc we usually think of it as gross and undesired even though without it we’d be much worse off and suffer much more often from things like infections and vertigo.
Thanks earwax 👍 you the real homie
Wow
Exactly. There is a reason why our body produces things that we consider "disgusting". From earwax to pubic hair: we always try to remove them but they actually exist in the first place to keep infections away
@@psngrl7677 yeah, and and you don’t have enough ear was in there they can’t protect your ear drums
That, and I suspect that having it removed can lead to tinnitus because of possible damage to small hairs in your ears. I know that my slight tinnitus got worse when the doctor used one of those jets of water to clean out ear wax.
It's like nose hair. It keeps dirt and toxins out of entering our lungs when we breathe, like a natural filter system. Ear wax actually has anti-bacterial properties that prevent foreign dirt/particles/bacteria from reaching your eardrums and damaging it.
"do you speak Chinese" "a little" proceeds to speak not only fluently but with a regionally specific accent
That looks like nothing compared to what I deal with!!! My ears hurt it I don't clean them regularly. When it gets bad and I get the ear wax painfully taken out... it looks like Samara Fruit (also known as Maple Tree helicopter seeds). I average from each ear about 5 to 8 pencil erasers worth of wax. And if it gets that bad, I experience hearing loss and headaches.
My go to treatment that works the best for me is diluted hydrogen peroxide to soften it before having my wife pull it out or flush it out with water as delicately as possible. Nothing else really works.
I would love to try this method though. This looks amazing compared to what I've experienced growing up.
It's not a pain contest, god...

You can buy 3% h2o2 as a contact lens cleaning solution. It works great for cleaning your ears but don't do it too often as h2o2 destroys anything that can be oxidized, including healthy cells. i honestly hate removing ear wax. back in march i was extremely sick and afterwards suffered from ear pain. went to the emergency room because of the sudden pain and they attempted to clean my ear for about 30 minutes with some liquid (forgot the name). having it shot down your ear for that long of a time is terrible especially since it didn’t even work! i had to schedule an appointment with my doctor & they used some tool (it buzzed sort of like a drill, which was meant to get wax off that was stuck in your ear). not even kidding when i say that i felt the room spinning after the wax was finally removed! i started tearing up. i really thought i was going to pass out; i don’t know if it’s because i was extremely anxious/stressed or that the drilling tool (or whatever it’s called) hurt so much.
anyways, remember to clean your ears!
You have crystals in your ear that stabilize your equilibrium. That rush of liquid must've moved them out of positive giving you what is called VERTIGO. Loss of equilibrium will result in loss of complete stabilization.
There are head movement exercises on YT you can do to move those crystals in place if it ever happens to you again
@@Doriedejai oh woah, thank you! i didn’t know that. it hasn’t happened to me again luckily, only that one time when they were cleaning out my ear. interesting to know though, thank you again!
The “drill” was likely a very thin vacuum, a lot of medical ear wax removal videos show it as the primary tool they use to remove the wax. That close to your ear drum, anything that vibrates is going to sound like a high-pitched whine, like when a fly bumps your ear and it sounds super loud.
I'll give a little brief explanation on the gross statement. I'm a certified Chinese so yea.

I am in early 70s and i never had my ear wax removed by a doctor. The wax build up in my ears usually falls out by themselves. I remember i had a serious earache during my military basic training back around 1968. All of a sudden a lots of liquids and wax pour out of my right ear and that severe pain was instantly gone. That was the last time i had an earache pain.
Oof. What you had was a middle ear infection and that relief you experienced was your eardrum rupturing and the fluid leaking out.
The pressure from the trapped fluids is what causes the intense ear ache.
Not to worry though, eardrums usually heal in a couple of weeks! Glad you're fine now!

I wanna go to a place like this. Seems like it'll feel good. I always liked the feeling when my mother use to clean my ears when I was a child. Now I can't imagine how great it'll feel when a pro do it
I'm wearing headphones and this guy is making me feel like I should turn down my volume 😭
"No mom, really it's a guy getting his ears cleaned." 😂
Those Chinese women are absolutely beautiful!!

I don’t think I’d trust any other nation to do my ears .

Let's be honest. We all came to see what she dug out of his ears and we secretly wanted it to be a lot and gross.
I was waiting for the happy ending

this dude just seems like a fun guy, I laughed when he was handed the monitor at the start of the video and said " oh this is cool" like he has never seen a video before
This white dude knows more Chinese than me 😭 I’m so glad my Chinese parents never seen his channel and be like “You see? This white guy can speak better chinese than you!”
Will be a rough day for you, my friend.😁
I believe a shop owner said that to her kid in one of his videos.

I bet that feels sooooo good
So luxurious
I had a “lavage ” done with a water pic. It didn’t hurt bad. I couldn’t believe what came out. When my ears dried out I had perfect hearing. It was amazing.
I have to through that procedure here in Brazil, from time to time. It's super fast and painless, like you said.
I had that done too, had a problem with one of my ears and had to soften the wax with olive oil for 2 weeks. I couldnt hear a thing when I went in, and when I came out I was so amazed! It feels weird but it's SO good!
@@mishkamoosh4972 exactly. We, apparently, don't value the fact that we can hear well (like many things in life we take for granted), but once you get that awkard experience of feeling it declining and being able to go back to hearing a 100% is just great.
The usage of olive oil (and other oils as well) also exists in Brazil. From what i've heard, some physicians in São Paulo prefer that method (using some oil or something to soften the wax), telling the patient to come back in a week's time to finally remove it.
I much prefer the usual way done in my city - get in, sit on the chair, check the ears, water injection, check again, bye - 'cause it takes five minutes or so and i' m out.
One last thing... I was never able to verify it and i never cared enought to do it, but the physicians tell me that it was something i inherited from my father (he has the same "condition") and that some people, for no apparent nor special reason, seem to "produce" more wax than others.
Anyway, hope you're all doing ok. Take care.

@@pedroterra6991 I had to use a thing called elephant ear I got offline and it helped me when I had an impaction twice but my ear was a little irritated for a few days after doing it but it could have been from the impaction as well. Elephant ear just squirts water into your ear at a high pressure safe enough for ear but streamline enough to irrigate the wax out so you can do it at home. I also bought a $20 camera for looking in ears to see what was going on. I definitely believe if you can go get it done at a doctors office it’s a safer choice but since I live out in the country this was an easier cheaper way that worked. My sister and I both have issues with our left ear getting this. Stinks it keeps happening to you as well
:( Good luck!

Omg cannot unhear it!
I wish I could've had this instead of getting my ears cleaned with water at the clinic. This would've definitely been more satisfying even if it does take a while longer.
This place is on my bucket list now
You got to love how professionel they are
Yes, there's a LOT of gross gunk in ears but that's part of how our anatomy works so there's no reason in shaming or belittleing or being actually grossed out over the top. Those women are really great in comforting the client. A lot of times not even doctors are this professional xD
Can we all just take a moment to see how freaking gorgeous the lady in the princess dress is? My god perfection.
