the old woman has a move called "is this what you wanted?" that basically one shots you lol.

The OST is SO GOOD
This is scratching every JRPG itch of mine so bad.
The character design is made by Akihiko Yoshida (FF Tactics, FFXII, Tactics Ogre, Nier Automata, Vargant Story, etc). He is a genius.
Now i know why i was getting some serious Ogre battle vibes!

I was not that interested from the first trailer but today they got me instantly when mentioning that you play differnt patchs with characters that have very different abilities.

I already know that this game will be a Masterpiece!

I've been playing the demo ever since the direct ended and it's as amazing as I'd hoped. Visually it is stunning. Pixels have never looked so good as they do in unreal engine 4. Oh and the soundtrack is exactly what I'd hoped for when the game was announced. Sweeping orchestral scores that immerse you into the fantasy setting. This game is at the top of my wishlist.

Lol I wish I was paid to enjoy this demo! I finished it the other day on the Warrior class. All in all I spent about 3 hours and 30 minutes. I'm not sure how much different the dancer story is but in the warrior campaign you get her in your party anyways. I'm going to wait for the full release to play any more so I don't spoil it.

Square Enix have truly earned the fullest support to Nintendo. Project Octopath Traveler is gonna be one of the best Switch exclusives ever made. 2018 is just around the corner. Let's hope that both Square Enix and Nintendo finalize the title name before launch.

This game looks amazing. The combination of the pixel art and CG really gives the game it's own identity, and since it's from the team who made Bravely Default that makes me even more hyped.

exactly. When I first saw black and white I also though that "This is a really interesting way to be kinda 3D with pixel art" black and white looked dope. I'm sad they didn't continue that path. It is what it is though.

Pokemon used to be cool, now it's cute. Anime ruined Pokemon. Yes, it was anime before, but Sugimori's style lacked the stupid kawaii look of the newer games. Pixels can be universally appreciated, but chibi turns me, and everyone who played Pokemon Go, off.
I'm not into the whole graphic and fighting style of games like this one, but i played the demo to give it a try; and i must say it's really good! It got me addicted. Now im waiting on the full version 😊

I just finished the demo for both paths and it was SO GOOD. I love the voice acting, the style is beautiful, and I had a blast figuring out the strategies in combat. I'm dying to see where Primrose's story goes!

I love it too. I just thought it was a bit funny too, considering how they're trying to not make it sound the exact same :P
Boost System seems to work like thr battle system in Standstill Girl which I think is older.
I think it was kinda funny how they described it as a "new" system lol. I don't mind though, it's one of the best aspects of the Bravely series and it's nice seeing it used again in a different game.

But seriously, Bravely Default was the reason I bought the 3ds and is still my favorite game. If I have to give a reason why I want a Switch all of a sudden, this is DEFINITELY it.

I'm glad Square Enix is going with a more minimalistic artstyle (But still somehow georgous) and focus on the content. The fact we're getting 8 characters and you're allowed to interract with townpeoples on more than a surface level is amazing. Visiting towns between dungeons and talking to NPCs to know where to go next is usually the low points of JRPG for me. But here it may seems to be the most memorable part.

The primrose demo had me close to tears at the edge of my seat. I am so excited for this game.
I actually liked the stream, speacislly the Odyssey part, so many strange things. And one thing: Smash and Pokémon will come in 2018 just wait ;D!
I was level 12 when I beat the Boss... I was a bit OP to say the least, but I LOVE to Grind like that.
On another note, I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Everything about it!! YUS!!
Was at level 6 when I beat both bosses (First time playing a turn based rpg too, kind of proud of myself), did basically no grinding. Almost didn't make it in both ones but I'd say this game doesn't require grinding if you hate that and you can win with pure strategy, atleast in this first boss battle.
I love how the game looks. So gorgeous.
Also the Character Command System is a pretty great idea.
Just finished Olberic's demo. I'm getting a lot of flashbacks to Bravely Default and am loving it.
Even without all the neat story elements I'd play it for the visuals alone.
I loved the demo. Square did a very good job! The only thing i'd like to see in the full game is AT LEAST 8 save files so people can play each character's story without deleting old saves. Other than that this game is beautiful.

I finished the demo and I just want to say that this game has impressed me ALOT.
The gameplay is fun, the two protagonists that you play as in the demo are interesting and well written, the voice acting is spot on, the visuals are absolutely stunning and all and all I am hyped for when the full game comes out!

You could level up a little bit. I defeated him at lvl 7. Also bring the villager from town with lure skill, he's the best fighter around strangely. He will defeat minions while you can store much needed boost points.
At four boost with physical attack the boss will be break and you can do massive damage to him at that state. Also buy armor and a shield and dagger from the town. They'll be a lot of help.
I like the difficulty of the game, it has a nice balance and little nuances like summoning lured npcs.

As soon as I saw this game I went and bought a Switch.
Amazing looking game! Graphics remind me of Breath of Fire III and Dragon Quest VII with the pixel art characters and 3D backgrounds. More games should look like this instead of generic mobile 3D graphics. Secret of Mana take note.
