same here really liking primrose hope they make each story line last a while. part of me wants them to have the 8 characters come together with their story lines intertwined when you complete them all. yeah it almost certainly won't happen but it would be really neat to see that.
Yeah, this is one of the games I'm most excited to play. I'll probably just sit there for 10 minutes reading all of the characters' info...

There needs to be more games like this. Sprite based graphics leaves so much more to the imagination.

If a demo...a DEMO made me choke back tears (Primrose story) and keep that music running in my head even now and made me max out my characters to 15 and explore everything...IN THE DEMO, the Collectors Bundle demands a purchase. They better not run out.
The demo is practically a 10/10 game as is. Can't imagine how good the full game will be.

I absolutely love the art style in this game, and if this is the closest we get to having a Bravely Third, I’ll gladly take it.
Antonio Morales I expect an actual Bravely Third on the Switch, especially if Octopath Traveler sells well (which I expect it to). Not sure where the story would pick up from, though.

Octopath Traveller is literally my most expected game of this year. God, I'm SO EXCITED for play this wonder. The demo was AMAZING. It's great the release is finally on summer.

THIS IS SO GOOD
I really wasn’t expecting a release date today, and I was convinced this game wouldn’t release until the end of the year. I’m so excited - and I’m looking forward to this more than any other game this year.
I love that so many players downloaded the demo and took the time to give feedback through the survey, and that the devs actually addressed so many of the issues players brought up through the survey. It was really smart of Square Enix to do that, and it makes me even more excited for this game.
Definitely picking up the special edition day one!
Looking forward to this more than any other Switch game.

Snarky Mark yup. I got bored of Zelda botw and nier within 2 hours. I love old school game play too much. I'll eventually finish both botw and nier but it just cant hold my interest like octo can!
Greg Chun is voicing Alfyn. And that's like the biggest reason I'm interested in this game. Looks really good, the demo was amazing. But Greg Chun is *always* a seller for games on my radar.

They’ve been so Nice and sincere with updates and how everyone’s been chipping in with feedback!
Square Enix has been making poor quality games lately with the Secret of Mana Remake, Chrono Trigger on PC and I didn't like the direction they took with Final Fantasy XV, but Octopath Traveler looks to be an 11/10 game based on the demo and changes the devs said they're making based on player feedback. I also love Dragon Quest Builders and I'm so glad they didn't mess up the Switch port! :)

There is a reason for the discrepancy, Chaz; This game is led by developers from Team Bravely, a unit within Square that made the classic Bravely Default games for 3DS. The other stuff you mentioned, that is the fault of other, lazier devs at Square. Team Bravely is single handedly keeping the spirit of classic Squaresoft alive.
I'm playing Dragon Quest Builders at the moment. It should get me through to July. Kirby to play next week. Games keep coming!
Silicon Studio isn't actually a part of Square. It's just the producer working on this game, but the company co-developing it with members at SE is Acquire this time around.

Every time I see this game it gives me a special feeling inside that I haven't had since I was a child.

Was really hoping for a new name over the working title name. I know most people knew this game as Octopath Traveler but that's how working titles work. We all new the Switch as the NX for years but we all got on board for the new title. But, I'm still excited for this game and can't wait to play this game. Looks amazing.
