I actually appreciated this trailer. Those who say this trailer was too long more than likely haven't touched a Xenoblade game before. There's gonna be ALOT to this game that even a 30 minute direct on this would only scratch the surface on. If you think we know too much already then you're gonna be pleasantly surprised :)
Also,I don't recall having so much focus on this game's gameplay do't we ? I think we needed that gameplay explanation,at least for me it was everything I needed.

I really don't care what people say about this game, as someone who played Xenoblade Chronicles and X, I think Xenoblade 2 is going to be one epic RPG game. It looks to be fun and hardcore at the same time.
Honestly, the people who are expecting Smash really irritate me. Sakurai explicitly stated that Smash 4 may be his final game. A port of that game is possible, yes, but not definite. If you want a NEW Smash game, that's a whole different story. They could certainly keep making them without Sakurai, but that's gonna take a while, if it happens at all. Either way, it's a poor excuse to hate on this game. Xenoblade is a gem of a franchise that deserved to have a spotlight slot.

I was watching the direct when the Xenoblade 2 trailer came up. ALMOST all of the comments were, "ZZZZZ", "BOOORING", "Where's my smash?", and similar comments. I was both angered and saddened by this. I was angry by how people are only focusing on smash or animal crossing, and not any other game that was actually showcased. While I also felt sad during the chat when on, because it looked like I was in the minority of people who are excited about this game.

wildrook The masked, white-haired dude from the Torna faction is a big contender, if you ask me. Maybe he's being employed/ controlled by a "Bigger Bad" though.
I'm thinking the old woman we see from the first nation might be part of an even BIGGER conspiracy. Probably the same "Trinity" that the masked dude is a part of.
wildrook Perhaps, but my first impression is that she's a stern motherly figure, worried for the well-being of her subjects and determined to keep them safe. It would be a nice plot twist if she turns out to be scheming behind the scenes.
I think the "Pope" figure might be evil/ have machinations of his own or tied to Torna. Also, who's that alien-looking "advisor" accompanying the young ruler of Mor Ardain? Could be just a "trusted bodyguard" though.
I guess the big questions are gonna be:
-- Who's using who to what end?
-- Who understands the real situation first and what do they subsequently do with this knowledge? I kinda hope it's NOT the MC duo that uncovers the conspiracy (whatever it is) first.

It's unfortunate that Monolithsoft is not very good at marketing their
games and the trolls are sleeping on this game... Because the original
Xenoblade Chronicles is the best RPG to come out in the past two decades
(yes, in my opinion, it beats all the 3D Final Fantasy games that ever came out)
and Xenoblade Chronicles X HEAVILY influenced Breath Of The Wild with
its exploration and game mechanics which made it the masterpiece it is.

Monolith develops the Xeno- series game, Nintendo just owns Monolith for the time being.Monolith Soft also helped making Breath of the Wild too hence why its influence by X, Nintendo is the game's Publisher.
Aline Piroutek actually, NOA didn't want to publish the game at all, an online petition convinced Nintendo to allow it to be brought here, but they wouldn't finance it. gamestop stepped in to publish it themselves. It likely wouldn't have come here at all without gamestop doing what they did. It also explains why it was exclusive to gamestop.
I was losing interest in this game, but this trailer brought me back.
I'm so excited for this game now. Sure, the dub could use some work, but I think I'll get used to it, and if not dual audio is probably an option for those who want it.
Everything else about this game looks incredible, and in going to do my best to get the special edition.

The music in XB is consistently awesome, but i really didn't care for the sound mix in this presentation. It was difficult at times to hear the narrators clearly over the (awesome) music.
Still my favourite Switch game 3 years later

Xenoblade is probably the most underrated RPG series of all time imo. The most fantastic worlds ever, mixed with some of the most unique combat mechanics in an rpg. All topped with absolutely breathtaking visuals and gorgeous soundtracking. If 2 can follow up 1 in any way, shape or form, then it's a guaranteed GOTY contender.
Truthblade The original is a game I consider a masterpiece. I have no doubt this one will be no different. A great game it will be. As good as the original.... That's debatable. But regardless.... I'm excited.
In my opinion, Xenoblade is better than Final Fantasy. But there's only 2 games out so far so it's not exactly a fair comparison. But both Xenoblade and Xenoblade X are better than Final Fantasy XV at least.

They really polished this. This is night and day.
It most likely looks better here because all of the previous footage was captured from a live stream, whereas this was directly captured from the console. That's my guess, at least.

Passing by just to say: "This is my favorite RPG". A really, really good game with an awesome OST. Very beautiful graphics, good story, engaging combat and lovely charcaters.
And Torna DLC, well.....Another game from this HUGE universe.

VA sounds better, only need to work on the lip sync. Framerate looks smooth! Still cant believe this amazing game is coming this year!!! AND THE SPECIAL EDITION IS LIT!!!!
the reason the lip sync is awful is because all the characters were animated with Japanese voiceovers, which doesn't carry over well to english dubbing very well. it's the reason why it looked bad in Zelda too.
That's just the nature of localization. The best they can do is write dialogue that closely fits the Japanese voice animations. That's why certain lines sound like they are paced wrong or come out in a weird way. Localizers can't just change the animations all together.
Too bad people only cared about Smash during this entire headline.

Ty Brown I'm on my second playthrough. Not only am I playing Xenoblade Chronicles but I also got Xenogears in preparation for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and so far its really good.
LazyCatStudios the Xenoblade franchise is kinda like the final fantasy and persona franchises, they use the same gameplay, species/tribes to interact, monsters/enemies to fight, but they are not canonical with each other. on that note I wouldn't mind a xenoblade chronicles remake on the switch.

ah, no that was a common mistake, a lot of people thought that, because X story wise was so different from 1, but 2 has a lot of similar elements to one: titans, people living in said titan, the creatures you fight are basically the same, Nopons, but it was stated since the E3 this was not going to be a direct sequel.

This is shaping up to be the greatest JRPG ever, I love everything I see. I highly appreciate creativity though. A small detail, but I LOVE that loot pops out of the enemies when defeated. In a genre that has too many text boxes, and menu scrolling it is a wonderful touch, and a nice effort on their part.

OzzieCrackers X is good, but I don't like it as much as the original. The original is a master piece and it's my favorite game of all time. I recommend you play both, especially the original, you'll love it.
X is better than the original imo. The original is fantastic until a certain point where both gameplay and story go downhill... badly.

I am absolutely freaking stoked for this game, it looks like it belongs in the Tails series with a way cooler setting which I love. I loved that game so I'm obviously okay with bad voice acting and super japanese character archetypes but I could see why a lot of people wouldn't 'get' why this game looks so cool. Most people hate anime games BECAUSE of trash like Tales. Tales are factory pumped out garbage with no creativity and usually awful storytelling. When a Tales game has a good story, like Abyss or Berseria, its literally luck. They put no effort into the games at all.

This is the game that made me excited for this Nintendo Direct, it's awesome to finally have a release date. Monolith Soft is truly one of the best RPG-developers of all time.

I for one welcome the Titans.
The only bad voice acting imo was Pyra's "That... is our dream!" But it will most likely sound better in game. Has anyone here played Zero Time Dilemma? The launch trailer made the voices sound awful, but in game they were great, and even Ign's review says it has some of the best voice acting in video games

Not sure if I'm gonna find this one's world/character/setting as interesting as the first, but it still looks good :) can't wait.
From traveling on 2 titans in the original to now traveling on like 5 titans, what's not to love. Not to mention I love a good political story.
From what we can see so far, the characters, the different factions, different races, etc... not feeling it. might captivate me after I play :p but from what little info we have, kinda feels a vibe of some other games (cause of certain aspects) and those games were just "ok" to me, but not great.
Whatever you say man, I am just happy that the Nopon are playing an even larger role in the story and that you can have a nopon as a party member.
that game is so packed with xeno eastereggs and refferences. i´ve even seen KOS-MOS´ etherblade.
I love the dub! It adds so much personality and charm. I honestly wasn't expecting to be so hooked on this game, but this really sold me and so did Octopath Traveler. Good job, Nintendo I'm actually gonna go buy a Switch sometime soon.
