There was another dang it earlier in that Tampa - Detroit game. Adam Erne mad a beautiful pass in his own zone to his ex-team, who then of course scored.
It wasn't so much a beautiful pass as a perfectly timed whiff, but still a dang-it.

Don't think Steve realised they were referencing the 'Double Doink' field goal at the end of Bears-Eagles in the 2018 NFL season playoffs. But I still loved that Doink the Clown joke.
I think it was a triple doink because it looked like it took one bounce off the upright, followed by two bounces off the cross bar, and fell in front of the bar. Still didn't make the field goal, though.

@@stevenm6301 Oh, really? I thought that was a different game from the one that he missed those 4 kicks. I believe that one was a regular season game while the "double doink" was a playoff game.

The closest thing I can think of with the Dan Kelly incident would be Mick McGeough shoving Darcy Tucker into the penalty box.
I was about to say the same thing. Tucker was a Lightning when that happened

markstrom has became such a regular feature on the dang-its that i've started thinking it's a dangit that he isn't in the dang-its
those two calgary goals against the sharks still looked nice even though they were given free chances
Marky was way worse in his earlier career. I Vancouver he made a Dang-Its in most every period. Still a great goalie.
There were more Dangits in the STL vs EDM game. STL took two Too Many Men penalties, EDM scored on one of those two penalties, and EDM still managed to lose in a shootout.
not to mention the McDavid Offside ... that game had the most DangIts/60 I've ever seen

During the first period of Ottawa Winnipeg game, Chabot came off the ice frustrated, swung his stick at the boards and ended up nailing his teammate in the face.

I've been watching Dang Its for a while and if there was just one thumbnail out of all the Dang its ever featured to describe this channel, I 'd pick the one where Romanov is blocking the shot that goes wide, with his crotch, deflecting it right into his own net 🥶
It only happened last night, but for next week you have to have Dewar of the Wild missing a gaping empty net. Honestly one of the worst misses I've ever seen (he did score a snipe from almost the blue line later in the game though so he's let off the hook).
This is similar to your second-to-last clip: During the 2001 playoffs, there was a scheduled TV timeout going on, but nobody relayed that information to the officials or the players, so they played on. Colorado scored a goal. When I was watching that game, Colorado had 2 goals before the commercial, then when the game came back on, the score showed that they had 3. I thought there was some kind of mistake. Is that better or worse than the St. Louis goal?

Best 20second clip of hockey ive ever seen in my life
I still remember in 2013 (?) our local station in Austin cuts to commercial in the middle of the play during OT and comes back 20 seconds later to the Blackhawks celebrating. It wasn't even a useful commercial, it was for like their morning news.

Before I forget to write this out: The Swayman not goal is a double dang-it. Just last week the Bruins were on the bad end of a non-icing call because..we aren't sure. Either it went in the crease, touched the net, or the ref just assumed it was touched. This shot both went thru the crease, front to back, and hit the side of the net. Still called an icing.
Correct. The "going through the crease negates icing" hasn't been in the rule book since the 90s

Nah.....I didn't think the linesman was out of line - Bunting wasn't really doing anything, but he wasn't actually GETTING OFF THE ICE, which is what the linesman obviously wanted him to do. Players shove each other, to include refs all the time. Sorry, Steve, not a dang it. 😏

I was with friends when that Blues feed cut. We lost our collective ****. Now wish we had been recording. There were a LOT of half finished sentences: "What the...", "WHYYYYYYYYYY", "...oh the cruelty", and "Are. You. KIIIIIIDDIIIIING ME" were some of the utterances. Side note: Steve and Nick you still missed a ref calling Tarasenko for a penalty only he called "99 Blues 2 min for hooking. I mean 91" I can't recall the game, but that sticks out in my memory as a missed dang it in a year brimming with officiating, and broadcasting Dang It's.

The Blue's broadcast feed reminds me of last year's playoffs. The Rangers lost the series to the Canes and the two teams line up to shake hands. All eyes are on Georgiev and DeAngelo. They're getting closer and closer. What will happen when they shake hands? Will the punch each other? Will the skip each other? Georgiev finishes shaking hands with the player before DeAngelo, and they cut away before we can see what will happen! ARRGGG!
As an aside, I never noticed this before, but if you look at the picture frame under the Gretzky figure, you can see the reflection of the monitor that Steve is looking at!

A few Dang-Its ago, someone iced the puck against Boston, but it went through the blue paint, so it was called off, and the Bruins stood there and got scored on. This time Swayman misses and it goes through the blue paint, but it is icing. For some reason, I don't have a problem with either of these calls.

Peripheral vision isn't great in a goalie mask. By turning sideways like that Saros is able to see the where the puck is while still making it so that if the Edmonton player wants to go after the puck carrier he can't cut through the crease because he would make contact with the goalie. It's a way of setting a pick and still being able to see where the puck is.
If you're a linesman, MAN THE LINE!!
Friendly reminder: When you're a goaltender pass the puck with front side of your blade:
It's more accurate, more powerful and you see where it's headed better!
I'm terrible at lip reading, but it was still obvious Bunting said "Hey, what the fudge are you doing?!"
