The replay of the Lightning swooping round to jump on DeAngelo, in slow motion, to Sweet Caroline, was some kind of cinematic comedy gold.
Bonus points for the rest of the Flyers just standing there and being like "you brought this on yourself Tony, don't expect us to do anything" lol
Another dangit for the Lightning in the Carolina game is that they did not have a shot on goal for the entire second period. At the start of the third they had 4 total shots.
Nah that's a Hat-Pick
Think San Jose had 5 SOG going into the 3rd against the Avalanche. At one point in the 2nd, the Avs were up 5-0 and San Jose had 2 SOG
Just wanted to comment on that, that's insane.
Not to mention the whole shutout and goal differential
@@PatrickRoy30 pretty much, but it was like 34-7 in favour of the avs. Dominant would almost be an understatement lol
Producer Nick deserves a hat pick next week for all the extra work you made him do on that last dang-it.
I wanna hear an uncensored version of that 😂
12:45 Steve you missed the best part of the Dunne penalty he got pulled from the box after 24 seconds by the concussion spotter. He gets no call from being hit in the head, gets sent to the box, and not even half a minute later play is stopped refs get together to review something, Dunne is sent to a quiet room and Eberle serves the rest of Dunne's penalty.
Dunn isn't done. 😃
Rod Brind'Amour deserves to be in the HOF for containing Tony DeAngelo for an entire season.
Do we really have to bleep balls now a days? Thank you Steve for running with that one, good bit bro, laughing my BALLS off
DeAngelo gets two games. One for each (BLEEP) that he speared.
DeAngelo should have gotten suspended for every time Steve said (BLEEP) in this video 😂.
@Reviewy McReviewface Wondered if there'd be a comment along these lines. Was not disappointed. 😁👍
DeAngelo’s whole career has just been one giant free fall. it’s real sad too cause we saw what he’s capable of on the Hurricanes when he’s on his A-Game
Racist POS that takes cheap shots any chance he can. Someone needs to speed up his retirement
I will forever be amazed that Rod Brind'Amour and the Hurricanes' locker room were able to keep this guy drama-free for an entire year. Rod deserves the HOF for that.
That team probably couldn't stand him either just like the Rangers. He's always pissed about it, but the common denominator is always him. Oh, and he's said some pretty racist stuff all through his hockey career. His just an all around POS. At least guys like Perry and Marchant are good guys off the ice.
@@709mashwhat is one racist thing he has said
@@tdfmtiggoogle it
My favorite part of the DeAngelo clip is seeing the rest of the Flyers on the ice basically let the Lightning have their way with him, as if to say "yeah, we don't care".
Any clip of someone spearing Corey Perry in the groin should be a hat pick, not a dang-it.
@@DDWyss well it shouldn't happen period... but its Perry so my feel sorry meter don't really move.
Perry is another trash player but at least he's a decent person off the ice. And the Philly team letting Tampa go at TD just goes to show what a cancer he really is.
@@Dratchev241 Exactly! No one should do that, but since it didn't happen, it couldn't have happened to a "nicer" guy!
@@DDWyss As a Lightning fan I was a little upset when I first read this, but then I thought, "I loved it when Marchand got speared," so i totally see where you're coming from.
Newhook even stopped for a second and smacked the puck away like someone waiting to get called for a penalty 😂
To pile on to that last dang-it, when DeAngelo got jumped by the entire tampa squad, his own teammates just stood there and watched. They're like "Nope, you did the dumb."
Bc real men don't hit other men in the balls. You do that no one will respect you
There's something about seeing Pat Maroon body slam Tony D'Angelo that really warms my heart.
The best part of the Murphy dang-it is if you watch the way he falls back out of the bench, it's so similar to how he entered that it looks like someone pressed rewind on the video lol
On the Karlsson part that you said about not being able to review a non-call double minor. I think this year that we have gotten the refs calling more majors so they can review, which has been great, but I think there's still times where the refs chicken out and call a minor when they really should be starting at the major and reviewing it. Or the problem of "I know something happened, but not what, so I guessed what call and it was the wrong call so now I can't give a minor." If you know something happened, and you didn't see it, the refs should be able to review it and then make the correct call, not let a guy get away with it on a technicality because the referee guessed at what happened, and guessed wrong.
Then give the coach a chance to challenge for a penalty if a player on the team is bleeding. If failed, 2 minutes for delay of game.
Ya know, even as an Avs fan, I was watching and just super confused at the chain of events that led to a Sharks penalty... I totally expected the Avs to (rightly) take a penalty. I don't think it was on purpose, it just looked sloppy to me, but I can't believe how that didn't get called right in front of the ref.
The reason it didn't get called was because it really looked (from every angle) that the stick just hit Karlsson in the chest. The ONLY reason we know that it hit him in the face is because of the blood. Even with a replay it still doesn't look like a high stick, so I can understand a Ref missing it at full speed.
That ref Gord Dwyer actively hates the Sharks. Every game he refs for us he blatantly screws us over. He should never be allowed to ref a game for us ever again
@@johncox7169 I was at that game and said the same thing. I was shocked it didn't get called. On another note, it was hilarious when the Sharks goalie tried to tackle one of the forecheckers because if he didn't, it was a certain goal (as if having a 6-0 lead at that point, another goal would have mattered)
If you’re a goalie tend the goal just really makes me appreciate how amazing Brodeur was even more. Was like having a third defenceman
goaltender*
"Goalie" undermines the whole thing.
But at the time brodeur was also allowed into the corners giving him earlier access to the puck and better positioning/time to manipulate it. I agree brodeur was amazing at it. Mind you it was way more entertaining to see hashek go for it
The DeAngelo penalty has to be one of the funniest dang it’s because as we see the penalty happen sweet Caroline is just happily playing in the backround
We really gotta ask ourselves, “how bad is the officiating this season if it’s winding up in Steve’s dang-its?”
Surprisingly, the Lightning should've been in it another time for their no shot 2nd period
How am I not surprised, as a bruins fan, that the precedent for spearing someone was set by Marchand 😂
And I'm already here wondering if all 10 of the Stars' goals against the Sabres make next week's Dang-Its. Sheesh.
Hey, thanks for publishing this a bit earlier this week so we can enjoy this Thursday night in Europe too! 🥳
Vasilevskiy even makes "... not tending the goal" look impressive.
He's genuinely good enough that it almost never backfires on him, but man, he does love to play the puck.
1. The foward playing defenseman thing remided of the flyers having to play Justin Braun as a winger for two games within the span of two weeks.
2. The best part, IMO, of that whole DeAngelo situation is JVR's expressions and the rest of the flyers barely coming to DeAngelo's aid 😂😂 they just stand there thinking "should we help him?" before barely helping him
I like how it got bleeped out yet he continued to say it
I can finally say I witnessed a "If you're a goaltender tend the goal live". Thank you Dostal and the Anaheim Ducks #gocanucksgo
Steve: uploads Dang-its.
The Sabres: do we still have time to submit tonight's 10-4 loss at home?
The best part is that we could see parts of that game in both features next week
*I was surprised Crosby didn't do a Griddy after the CBJ-PIT game....but then again, it would only make sense if it was against Detroit.*
DeAngelo- I'm gonna spear Perry no one is looking.
All Lightning players on the ice- So you have chosen death
You missed a second dang it in the Avs-Sharks game. Sharks goalie went to play the puck in the corner and to avoid being on dang its he just grabbed hold of the Avs player and took a penalty instead, think that should get a "good attempt at not getting on dang its but still...." dang it.
Every bleep was funnier than the last. Good work producer Nick
That last rant made my whole week!!
Thanks Steve!
I think it’s a Dang-It that we don’t get more cute little interactions between Steve and Producer Nick. Edit: in regards to the DeAngelo spearing, don’t forget when Yanni Gourde got gored in the Yannis.
Awesome Work Steve👍👍👍😎 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇨🇦🇫🇮🇨🇦🇫🇮🇨🇦
Steve, I do believe you owe Producer Nick a cookie for all the extra work he had to do with the bleeping.
THANK YOU SM for the Carter Hart one thx sm
The penguins game was a rollercoaster. From fire hextall chants to some of the loudest cheering I've ever heard in the arena.
Pens season in a nutshell
I know the hextall family in victoria... Ron has a very bad temper... I dont like yzerman but he never looses it... Thats important
Galtending is the only strong thing the jets have... The team plays awfull
I was thinking....You should have 2 more videos each month. 1 that takes the best of the hat picks for that month and call it "That Was Nasty", and another with the worst dang its and call it "That's Gotta Hurt" or something like that. I would watch it. Especially cause with commentary.
Recommendation for next week's dang it's: Vegas vs Tampa the day this video came out, 10 GAME MISCONDUCTS IN THE THIRD PERIOD
17:55- there's also Crosby did it to ROR and didn't even got 2 minutes.
I just came here to mention that - talk about tie going to the vet.
Ovi on trent frederic too
Unmentioned in the Carter Hart gaffe is how poorly Rasmus Ristolainen plays it. Not only does he not actually do anything useful, he makes it more difficult for Hart to get back in the crease. As a Sabres fan who watched Risto never fail to make a bad situation worse for many years, this is the most glaring part of the clip.
Yeah, the announcer going that Hart was waiting for backup from Risto had me like "Yeeeeeeah... That ain't happening."
“And that was how both I and Steven Stamkos learned Tyson Jost was on the Sabres” 😂😂😂 killed me
That spear to the balls couldn't have had a better recipient. Lol. All those beeps for that play had me cracking up. 😂
Marchand
@@_Booksphere_ ok, I can agree with that. Lol
another dangit for Tony D was how his team didn't really try that hard to help him after he got jumped.
As much as that's a dang-it for Carter Hart, that was a pretty smooth move to get back in the crease.
If a player has visible blood on his face, that should be reviewed. If they can take 5 minutes for an offsides, they can take a minute to see why this player’s face is bleeding. A 2 game penalty is one game for each nut.
I thought you would have the Flames v Wild game on the dang-its. Wild score in OT called offsides and the Flames win in the SO.
Maybe that'll be on Hat Picks. Though half the players, equipment guys and fans left before the refs checked the footage
The Erik Karlsson penalty was really frustrating. Especially when we were already losing 6-0 and being outplayed extremely badly. That was a poor missed call by the refs
the vince dunn hotmic before the clip you showed... amazingly loud and clear hot mic LOL
One highlight I think was missed in this video was the Minnesota Wild getting their game winning goal against the Flames called back after the offsides.
i agree, i watched that game and turned it off after the flames bench mostly had gone down to the change room, then woke up next morning to find out that the flames had actually won after the fact lol. they need to speed up those reviews, makes me wonder how many people left that game not knowing it was actually over lol.
I wish my Pittsburgh penguins team would stick up for their teammates the way the lightning stick up for theirs. I swear that’s the third time this year I’ve seen 3 or 4 players charge an opposing player for something they did and it’s awesome
bro I know its so pathetic, marchand spearing the GOALIE in the MASK, AFTER PUNCHING HIM. there was another one recently I think?
@@MrLaz0rz there’s so many that I can’t even keep count lol they just stand there
I'm gonna be that pedantic person, Tyson Jost was claimed on Waivers by the Sabres from the Wild back in the fall lol.
Two game suspension - one for each ball speared.
I feel like producer Nick had as much fun bleeping out Steve, as Steve did saying those bleep words 😂
Can we get a shirt that says “who spears someone in the balls?” I would buy that shirt lol
I got hit with the puck on the side of my eye once, blood gushing down my face, finished my shift (1st shift of the game btw) and went to the bench to ask a few of the extras if I needed stitches. Got off to go the the front desk to get a butterfly bandaid, got back on the ice close to the end of the 1st, and played the rest of the game. In the 3rd period, I lined up for the faceoff and one of the refs looks at me and says, "Did you get that today?" I just had to shake my head. The guys paid to watch the game don't see 90% of what goes on during it.
I really enjoyed the beeps...nice change up for added entertainment!
This made me laugh so hard it hurt at the end. Making your editors job more fun with all the balls.
Bonus dang-it, Keith Kinkaid's pads are absolutely HORRENDOUS
Surprised you didn't include the Quinn ejection.
Nah the fact that Dwyer didn’t call the high sticking to Karlsson was far more egregious. There has to be a precedent for when there is visibly spilled blood to see what happened. There’s just no excuse
How was ESPN (NHL’s broadcasting partner) saying that hockey doesn’t count not in dang-it’s?
At a bar I watched both the Pens comeback vs the Jackets and DeAngelo spearing Perry in the nuts / Hart flop behind the net. That was a wild two games to watch side by side
I know that Refs are "untouchable" but they game they called against the Sabres and Lightning was ATROCIOUS
It when from, IF YOU’RE A GOALTENDER TEND THE GOAL!!!
To: IF YOU’RE A GOALTENDER… GO FOR IT!!!
To IF YOU’RE A GOALTENDER VAGUELY HAVE A PLAN!!!
Then back to the classic: IF YOU’RE A GOALTENDER TEND THE GOAL!!!
Throughout the past 2 weeks of goalies being good and bad.
Omg XD I LOVE that you decided to bleep this XD this is great XD
Also belongs in the no-call section: Lightning’s Cernak elbowing Sabres’ Okposo (who has a lot of concussion history) in the face hard enough that he was bleeding afterward. And to confirm it wasn’t just because they didn’t want to make any potentially outcome-altering calls near the end of the 3rd period, they call a bs delay of game penalty on the sabres shortly after that.
I’m making a list for myself of simple hockey rules so I can remember what not to do during games. Notable ones this week…
2. Don’t pass through your own slot, if you can avoid it
4. Your goalie should never have to react to anything you do
That was hilarious edition of Steve’s I’m trying to say balls as many times as possible on CZcams.
😂 great vid Steve. Most of the best quality brought to you by "beeeeep! deep inc" the new Tony D'Angelo method of ruining one future. At least corey perry already started his flock. Ty again dangle! Beeeeep !
this maybe a dang its video, but you know whats a hatpick? Watching the replay of a very serious spearing on a player, but being up beat and happy cause "Sweet Caroline" is playing in the background and the crowd is loving it. hahaha
Some more good ones from that game where it was the Avs VS the Sharks are 1) two cross-checks not getting called [both were from the Sharks to the Avs btw] 2) the fact that the Sharks had like 4 shots on goal halfway through the game, which was as many goals as the Avs had scored and 3) James Reimer almost had a "if you're a goaltender tend the goal" moment, but in trying to stop that from happening he proceeded to get a holding penalty for attempting to keep Lars Eller from scoring... good stuff.
Vasi’s ping is too high. Homie was lagging.
Between Carter Hart eating it and Connor Murphy launching himself into the bench, few Dang It’s videos have given me such a good chuckle.
the hawks have actually been surprisingly fun to watch this year. whether it's a young guy like gust or philp scoring in their first games, or stalock being stalock, or the team just grinding it out to stay competitive in games, even if they end up losing anyway. surprisingly enjoyable most nights
In case everyone is confused there is another Matt Murray that is a goalie for Dallas. They did not trade with Toronto. Murray came from UMass Amherst.
Yeah…I was one of the many who tagged Steve and Nick in the Hart clip lol😂
16:30 seeing this play out in slo mo while Sweet Caroline plays is really amusing to me
On the Dennis Malgin thing, it does not go off an attacking player and in. He whiffs twice and a stars player shoots it in??? Steve might need to get his eyes checked
Yeah, it's a nifty little play by Johnston, not a deflection.
Do we need to get a beep count for Steve on this episode lol
Can you do a video on just ref dang-its? Let's see how many missed calls have happened all across the league!
The Avs announcers even admitted that Newhook should have been called.
Ya, same for our fans... everyone (Sharks and Avs fans alike) were completely confused on how something so obvious could happen directly in front of a ref, and not get called... then it was more confusing that they called Sharks being mad about it as unsportsmanlike. I don't think refs made a difference in the outcome of the game, but it would be nice if they were at least semi-competent.
That's because it was the Sharks announcers, but it definitely should've been called.
@@abruptpegasus Yes, it should have been a penalty, but if you watch the replay it REALLY looks like Newhook's stick hit him in the chest, so I can understand the refs missing it at full speed. And throwing your helmet is one of those rules that is like shooting the puck over the glass, the refs have to call it, and it is always a 2 min minor + game misconduct (see rule 53 which specifically references throwing your helmet in protest to a refs call, which is what happened here.)
I'm on for the review part. I think coach should get to challenge penalty on the game when there is a stoppage of play and a player on the team is bleeding. If it fails, 2 minutes for delay of game.
At this point I’m starting to think that the league itself is a dang it
the 2 things NHL needs to do to fix viewship issue. Quit with all the blackouts, just let people watch the hockey they want, just make better deals with local areas. Secondly, officiating needs a big fix, like reviewing possible injuries and double minors
You missed the hilarious one when Ottawa scored on the PK after tripping a guy that lost his skate blade and couldn't get off the ice after the goal was scored. 😅
Tyson Jost was claimed of waivers many months ago. Not impacting the score sheet much but he's been a good add.
How did I know this gaffe by Vasilevskiy was gonna be the leadoff dang-it...?! 🤣🤣
There's a Matt Murray in Toronto, and theres a Matt Murray in Dallas. Can somebody fill me in on this plz?
There's a Jack Hughes in New Jersey and a Jack Hughes in LA's farm system. There's an Elias Pettersson in Vancouver and there's an Elias Petterson in Vancouver's farm system. There's an Anton Forsberg in Ottawa and a guy whose name includes Anton Forsberg (who chooses to go by a different one of his middle names) in Nashville.
@@jonmendelson1104 ah ok. I'm not very familiar with the farm system in the NHL. It threw me off seeing Murray in a dallas uniform against Chicago when hes still with the Toronto maple leafs.
@@ragighost1799 Oh for sure, I wasn't saying anything was wrong with you not knowing. I was just pointing out that he's not the only player with a "name twin" in the league, though most of them aren't up yet. I also forgot to mention that there's a Sebastian Aho in New York (Islanders) and a Sebastian Aho in Carolina.
@@jonmendelson1104 you're good mate. As for that aho one I do know that one. It came up on weird NHL it was a penalty stat aho on aho. And boy was that funny. It was like he penalized himself 🤣
@@ragighost1799 The funniest for me is that the Canucks have 2 Elias Pettersons in their system. They also briefly had a Lane Pederson this year, so if they'd all been in the system at the same time at some point they could have had a goal from Elias Petterson assisted by Elias Petterson and Pederson.
Despite strongly disliking the Kings, about a decade ago the Kings were a strong candidate to sign Brad Richards and I thought it would be great if they got him for a similar reason. At the time they had Brad Richardson and Mike Richards, so I really wanted to see a Richards Richards Richardson line out on the ice (despite knowing that they weren't really players who would play on the same line due to different skill levels).
Thank you for the Sabres shoutout! (not sarcasm)
You missed, or conveniently forgot looking at you Producer Nick, the Avs all just standing around in the defensive end to give up the late 3rd period game tying goal to the Kraken. Especially since they'd go on to lose in OT.
Terrorizing is right. SIX (Pettersson and Miller each with 3) short handed goals in the last 8 games. The penalty kill is outscoring the opposing power play right now, which might be the last thing I thought I could be able to say about this abysmal penalty kill this year. I don't know where this came from. These two guys just really hate Connor Bedard.
I want to see the uncensored version of this video
The bleeps were the icing on the cake! 😆
It's the best day of the week, it's time for Steve's BEEP-it!!!
You left out how no Flyer players came to help DeAngelo which I think was priceless....
TDA got 2 games for "spearing". Barkov got 2 min for "slashing" Letang in the same area. Make it make sense. (Not arguing the suspension. I just want consistency.)
I dunno why, but Steve saying "Who spears someone in the b*lls" is absolutely hysterical to me
This is my favorite episode. I think the bleeping was more funny than hearing the actual word.
There was also a missed double minor in the Buffalo/Islanders game where Kyle Okposo was bleeding and the officials never called it.
The EK65 high stick was even worse since he had the puck meaning at least 2 officials were watching him and Colorado on the puck but somehow failed to see the high stick
I actually thanked Hart for falling down... I have Killorn on my fantasy team, so that goal helped a lot lol
