The "If you’re a goal tender…." heard around the league last night 0:47
AS SOON AS I SAW IT.... "IF YOU A GOALTENDER....
*Let's be honest, we're mainly here to see Ullmark get scolded by Steve.*
You caught me lol
100%
Bruins fan, but guilty
we all knew it was coming
The goal was Charlie MacAvoys fault. The guy doesnt play defense and his offense is really really bad.
I hope a hockey game doesn't break out at the next Leafs/Lightning fight
😂😂😂
How cool is it that earlier in the series, Aho (the wrong one) scored a goal for CAR and to pay it back, Aho (the wrong one) assists on a goal for the NYI.
Hockey is such a Giving sport❤❤❤
they were in the penalty box at the same time one night
When Martin Necas got hit into the bench, you should take a look at his stick before going over, and after he got out... Before he enters, his stick is normal, when he gets up, the blade is gone.
I thought Tom Wilson was on the canes for a seconf
Yea shouldn't have punched him but when Nelson broke his stick I don't blame him for punching him lol
THIS. 1000% this. I feel like as a ref, at that point, punching a player on the other team is warranted, if you can't say who broke the stick, or maybe didn't noticed it was broken for the player.
Yea second guy from the right stomped his stick so he hit em with the cross good for him. Reminds me of when kassian held avs man down by his crotch when he went over and avs guy punched him in the face. Shifty mos
@@vilhamdutch2962 Proof? These twigs break from the slightest bullshit from passes to shots. Prob broke when he fell over the bench.
Don't worry Linus, as a Capitals fan we have never had one of our goalies do that in an overtime game in the playoffs at TD Garden on a turnover behind the net that directly resulted in the game winning goal........
lol Ovie was SOOO pissed
or have a goalie give the puck to matthew tkachuk to win the game lol. Im a panthers fan and i was at that game and oh boy was that hilarious.
This one feels like appropriate retribution.l
@@christiananzivino1802 anybody besides him too. The Panthers equivalent of old Marchand (atleast for this series)
@@invertwiley1689 He was shouting "IF YOU'RE A GOALTENDER..." before Steve
I have been watching Dang-its and Hat-picks for years now and I just have to give Steve some seriously awesome props for saying "thank you" in sign language in the outro. That's a really nice touch.
I see what you did there.
The comment sections of every video I’ve seen of Ullmarks blunder has been a mixture of “If you’re a goaltender…” and “that’s a dang-it.” Steve has become a meme.
As a bruins fan I will never recover if the bruins lose to the panthers
You guys have had a legendary season, too.
And then Leafs would go on to beat both Florida teams… ouch that will be a bad look for FL
They’ll close it out in 6, no need to worry
first time?
If the Bruins lose this series, and Leafs win theirs. Would that mean that the curse is transferred?
My wife and I still laughing at the comment : " It is awesome being on the other end of it!!!" Steve's glee was worth it.
Stomping a stick and breaking the blade off when they flip onto the bench to get them into a punching rage is pretty classic
Necas punched Nelson because he broke the blade off of his stick
Exactly why nothing was called tit for tat
Is there any actual proof of that
@@ponyboycurtisx Use your eyes. The Carolina player goes in with a full stick, he gets up, tries to lift it, but you can see from the angle that it is stuck under something (right where Brock Nelson #29's foot is), and when he gets out of the bench his stick suddenly doesn't have a blade. He ignores Cizikas to punch Nelson specifically even though he's wearing a face shield. It is evident that his blade got broken off by Nelson, and to demand any other evidence is really foolish.
I sent another comment giving a video and time stamp to watch, but I suspect youtube automatically removed it.
@@sakalaathletics Its foolish to make up all this in your mind. A more logical conclusion to make is when he got thrown over the boards his stick got broken. The same sticks that break from shooting the puck and any other minor damage they incur.
Dangle didn't even mention how Necas goes into the bench with a good stick then comes out with a half stick, how do he not mention that in his commentary? that's probably why there was no penalty.
“Scheme Leading the Toronto debate team” 😂
How did the commentators not make hat picks
As soon as the flub took place I thought of you Steve. TEND THE BLEEPIN GOAL!!!!!
Nothing from the Wild vs Stars games? I was looking forward to the breakdown
It's probably for the best he stars clear of that whole God-forsaken mess of a playoff series.
"Thanks Linus, you made it just in time."
Oh boy...
Necas threw a punch because someone stomped on his stick while he was in the bench.
If you notice, when he comes up, he's missing the blade of his stick.
Still a penalty, fine suspension or something . As Steve said by doing nothing your supporting it and saying it’s okay to do that
It’s called played safety
Imagine an islanders fan clamoring for player safety. Hilarious.
I mean, if someone stomped on my $400 stick, I'd probably do the same thing too.
@@declanf.5532 I agree! There were many people that need to accept accountability in this play.
i love how tkachuk dodged his entire team to hug his goalie 😂
Hat pick even though they lost game 5: Avs Rodriguez making a save on an empty net to give the boys a chance. That’s a true effort right there
When the Canes player got up from the bench it looked like he didnt have a blade on his stick, aka a guy on the bench slammed his foot down on it breaking it. That would have for sure caused that reactions
The worst part about Gru's fumble there is he doesn't usually *make* that kind of mistake or risky play. When I saw it my reaction was "Gru... not you!"
"It was 4-1"... After game 7, Steve will say "it was 3-1!!!"
What Game 7?
@@PlutoTheSecond my comment didn’t age well 🤣🤣🤣
Ullmark makes the hat pick for not tending the goal, then immediately makes the dang-its for also not tending the goal
Come on Steve ... Why isnt the bench given a penalty for interfering with the play. They broke his stick.
and thanks for updating us on the situation room giving a game to the LA Kings once again.
Steve was honestly pretty easy on Ullmark here, much easier than I expected. As a huge Bruins and Ullmark fan, I had a few more expletives in my commentary...
Saaaame here 😂
22:08 Matthews out there collecting fire wood. 😂
Did you forget that the Stars and Wild are a thing? Like. Faksa laying out and blocking a shot with his face didn’t make it? Super disappointed with a 36 minute run time you couldn’t put even 1 Stars/Wild dangit
I kept waiting for him to get to our series. Being a hockey fan in Dallas is tough sometimes
@@tydooley81 Honestly sometimes it's nice to not make these videos. Keep the Stars on the hat picks, please.
I was actively screaming the Goaltenders Mantra as he left the net!
I'm happy I i waited a few days to watch this week's dang its. It makes last night's game 7 victory all the sweeter.
Reminds me of Fleury against Columbus a few years back. Similar circumstances, too. Penguins were also up 3-1 in the series, except Fleury gave up the game-tying goal with 20 seconds left doing that. And then proceeded to let in a soft goal from the blue line in OT. Don't get me wrong, he's still a great goalie and I like MAF, but last night reminded me of that.
The reason Necas punched him was because Nelson broke his stick on purpose while Necas was in the bench.
As a hockey fan, I need almost nothing more than for Toronto to NOT win the Cup. It’s such a great sub-plot to every season….” Will this be the year?” Much like the Chicago Cubs never winning the World Series. Now that they w won it, they’re not the “lovable” Cubs. They’re now just another team.
Totally been waiting for that supersonic "tend the goal" since I saw it
7:57 Not sure how Binnington would even manage that in the middle of a game, but he would definitely find a way
When it comes to the playoffs it's not just the players who can choke, this postseason's showing that even the officials can.
That intro thanking Linus was gold. xD
Man that high stick goal hurt so much. The situation room is on point...
With the pace of the playoffs right now, some of these feel like they happened weeks ago vs. in this last week.
So, I'm wondering again. Last time, it was a goal, but should Sebastian Aho's assist count towards Sebastian Aho's totals?
Football also has a few sideline incidents. Usually after a late two-handed shove, or some trash talk after a whistle while weaving through the sidelined players.
Low key jinxed the leafs gloating about that 4-1 now Tampa coming back.. that’s a dang it.
It's far more hilarious that Necas punched THE ONLY GUY WITH A FULL SHIELD ON THE ISLES' BENCH!
Because that guy (Brock Nelson) broke the blade off of Necas's stick.
Goooood❤️🔥 informative video
Outstanding 👍 good job
I’m happy for you Steve. Glad your team is doing well. Meanwhile my team is continuing their tradition of losing in the first round. This season will mark their 15th first round exit out of their 16 playoff appearances. Can you guess who?
The wild
26 minutes of dang its💀 ooooooo boy time to grab the popcorn
Thanks for sharing this video
Since you've mentioned a few times, that you're learning to play the game, I'm guessing the Romanov flub is one reason you like Thursdays so much. Seeing one of the 500 or so best players in the world whiff on the puck is very reassuring, since you know, from experience, how embarrassing that is. I can relate.
Getting hit into the bench - leaving out football, where it happens all the time and tends to lead to a kerfuffle.
So how torn are Leafs fans? On the one hand, they might not have to face Boston if they beat Tampa. But on the other hand... they gotta want to exorcise those demons.
Gotta beat the Bolts first. I won't have faith until they do it. I hope like hell they do, but I've been let down so many times before. I'm so nervous 😬
@@709mash I'm a Caps fan and let me tell you, Kuznetsov scoring to beat the Penguins felt as good or better than winning the Cup.
I thought of you immediately on this play.
Hey Steve. Absolutely a Dang It is no Doubt. Skinners stick breaking in a critical moment of the game. Dang it of the Year. Huzzah‼️ To your Leafs. Hinting all Canadian Final.
Steve: the trend is not the officiating, it's the misplaying of airbone pucks
Also Steve: here's some dog ass officiating in several games
Me trying to imagine Binnington getting hit into the boards and on the bench...
Blues Fan.
Worth it.
Great review
I played out of Boston and Canada every year new city, 1970's, goaltenders love to handle the puck, they stand there and watch 1/2 the game, but it really throws the flow out of whack, many times it confuses your own D, if I'm coaching I'm stopping the roaming, or handling the puck behind the net, causes too too many goals
Im glad you brought up the necas situation because im baffled by the lack of suspension/penalty/fine from that. You cant just allow that
The same goes for Tkachuk in previous game.
7:52 If the least popular player to my team got hit into the bench of the team I cheer for, they'd ABSOLUTELY do something to him deserving of a good punch in retaliation. I'd be disappointed if he WASN'T get harassed into a punch throwing rage.
Aho's dang-it was the puck to his face but there were two other dang-it's in that sequence. Aho was dumped twice in the corner before that with no penalties called on the Islanders.
Great work
Think the avalanche games need to be discussed more??? Cales hit? Review? And Nate getting blatantly tripped loosing his mind and having the puck go down the ice for a very important goal??😊
“Blatantly tripped” except the part where nothing touched his skates. And the Cale hit should’ve been 5 and a game. Your bias is showing.
@@trisalty1172 😂😂😂😂😂😂 nothing touched his skate??😂😂😂 or it did…. And your bias is showing. The problem about cales hit is that it’s inconsistent. Both in the hit he took earlier this year. And also showing incredible inconsistencies with the refs the fact that I went from 5 to 2 to a game just shows the incompetence of the refs.
@@trisalty1172 I mean, the other players foot kicked Nates skates out from under him. And let's not forget the blatant trip when he was about to be on a breakaway.
Cale's hit was clean, literally everyone, including the refs, were watching the players thinking they were going for the puck. There shouldn't have been a penalty called at all, much less a suspension.
@@Urlacher541000 It went from no penalty, to scraping McCanns carcass off the ice from his own mistake, to "well, let's call a major so we can review if there was a penalty at all". That's the only reason they called the major. They didn't call anything until several minutes later.
Can't wait till next weeks to see the part about the leafs blowing a 3-1 series lead
Amazing show❤
25:23
Steve's own entry into this Dang-Its video 😆
I absolutely lost it at 7:33 😂😂😂
If only, if only lmao
They stomped on necas' stick and broke it. I'd punch them too 😂
Nelson stomped and broke Necas stick while he was getting up.
Fair play in my opinion. F around and find out.
With the punch on the bench I felt like I was watching a scene from Slap Shot.
For the Kings high stick, the most important factor for me was McDavid putting up his arm. He has such awareness you know he was not wrong. But all is well that ends well.
As a Sabres fan ... This makes all the sense in the world...
I’m not kidding you but right when he said add and Advil ad I got one
Not a Leafs fan but love and hope for a good run and maybe fingers crossed? From a Yotes fan.
Sebastian aho may have had a face assist on his own goalie, but sebastion aho also had a mid-air chop from the blue line that scored on sorokin
Equal opportunity dang-its for the Ahos.
Even with the angles they showed on the broadcast in that Oilers-Kings game, with the announcers saying they couldn't tell somehow, the behind the net angle there had it clear as day if you just follow the trajectory of the puck, and then watch it suddenly drop straight down instead of at an angle. Laws of physics say that's not possible without it meeting an opposing force.
lmaoo the matthews stammy fight so funny but also unbelievable that matthews was boxed for that.
Outstanding 😊
In Finnish Liiga finals and first elimination game, a team called Tappara (who were leading the series 3-1) scored three goals in less than eight minutes only to blow the lead before third period. In the third, the opposing team called Pelicans scored one more goal to make it 3-4 only to let a tying goal literally at 59:59. Tappara proceeded to score in OT and became the champions second time in a row. That's a lot of dang-its and hat-picks in a single game.
And by the way, the clutch tying goal was scored by Veli-Matti Savinainen, who won his fifth consecutive Finnish championship. That is an absolutely insane record. He has also won the WC in the past and he won the Champions Hockey League with Tappara this season too. And he won the playoffs MVP trophy a.k.a. Jari Kurri trophy as well this season. Talk about a champion!
Good work
Down visiting my family and was watching with my parents. I immediately said, "Well, I know what Steve Dangle is opening this week's video with." I was so right. 😂
Good review
It's even worse now that you know that his little dang-it effectively cost the Bruins the _entire fricking series,_ making them perhaps an even bigger laughingstock than the 2019 Lightning. Good job, Linus!
I'm pretty sure that wasn't the series ending goal. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Bruins could have won either of their next two games and not set the record for biggest regular season point differential compared to the team that beat them in the playoffs. 43 points, lose 4-3.
You literally should have just spent 26:40 roasting Ullmark. That was probably 1 of the worst plays I’ve ever seen in 40 years of watching the Bruins
20:28 is that the case? Cuz I remember I've seen them completely taking off the penalty when the double minor is called for a high stick.
They can review majors and double minors and they can go with original call, minor, or no penalty.
Dang-It's like the ones in this compilation could ultimately lead to those teams on the wrong end of the Handshake Line, especially the Bolts.
Brilliant performance 👏👏
Well done 👍
Steve in line with the LA high stick please for the love of god look at the bruins 'hand pass' (compared to rules 67 and 71) and soon after icing calls that resulted in a goal against and COMPLETE change of game dynamic.
I mean, put it up against Timo's OT winner at the sharks for a complete wtf
I think one of my favourite parts of the Matthews Stamkos fight is it looks like as Stamkos is getting back up Matthews tries to basically tackle him back to the ice
Okay with the Rags having BACK TO BACK 5-1 road wins vs. NJ and some of the highlight reel goals/saves its mindblowing not one clip inc. the Rangers was includedlll
i feel so bad for aho.. we were at that game and you could tell he was frustrated
awesome bud keep up the good stuff....Dangle!!! If YOUR a GOALIE tend the NET!!!!
Evander Kane's goal was the game winner in my opinion, because it was the only goal scored on that half of the ice all game.
As an Oilers fan, it was just 2 years ago where we had a 4-1 lead in a playoff game, and lost in OT. So seeing both them and the Leafs come back to win from being three goals down was like a dish best served grilled.
Stamkos should have been given a penalty and maybe an ejection for third man in when he cross checked Reilly while Reilly was engaged with Kucherov.
Funny how it was Finnish Sebastian Aho who helped the Islanders get that goal. Who was open on the other side of the net? Swedish Sebastian Aho on the forecheck.
I miss these videos already!
Well done 👏✔👍
Missed the MacKinnon no trip call to Seattle goal. Dang-it on the low ref for not making the call when the trip happened 5ft from him. And a dang-it on Nate Dogg for getting mad, yelling at the ref, and not hustling for the line change, causing Compher who replaced him, to be late on the back check and allow the goal.
Nice... no mention of the disallowed Lightning goal...
Surprised there wasn't a Dangit for Daniel Sprong in game 3 blowing out a tire while skating backwards and leading to a SH goal by the Avs seconds later. Not much he could've done there, but still - that's a Dangit.
Interesting review
I remember watching the ot Boston loss and screaming at my tv IF YOU ARE A GOALIE TEND GHE GOAL. Thank you
Thanks for getting the Ullmark iyag, TTG! out of the way first
