Where da quiet place 2 and f9 at?
The Christianity in the last scene looks like it creates the Simpsons universe.??
The part with the woodpecker is the ending scenes to the film AI when the aliens find the boy who is a clone.... surprised you missed that
Why are they always sponsored? I still don’t get it.
Notice how the last Rick standing (before getting shot by the “hunt me” thing) is the one that alerted the real Rick! Because he was the first clone and therefore the best copy of the real Rick he was the strongest one
Nice catch!
Smart
Thanks Captain Obvious.
Or was that the real family????
@@martink3504 no,that was the first decoy family
At so many points in this episode I was dumb enough to be like "okay THIS is the real Smith Family" only to watch them die a few seconds later...I just gave up
Once like 10 smith families died I just turned off my brain and laughed hysterically at the episode
I did the same shit lmao 😂
I was fully convinced the whenwolf family was real for some reason
@@fukumarkzuckerburg what about when wolf? That decoy thought he protected the whole family except jerry.
Same
Why doesn’t anybody talk about Morty trying to kill Morty with a spoon wich is a nod to the Purge episode?
heh was gonna comment the same :D
I was going to comment that! I laughed at that🤣
in Battle Royale one student is only given a fork
i thought that too
I caught that lol
A buddy of mine pointed out that when Rick describes the decoys they are “having terrestrial adventures,” so it stands to reason that the only family seen in space (with clone Beth) is the real one.
ah but family no 1 was about to kill God right before they died, so the rule might not be resolute
@@loocat5070 never said god was in space
@@loocat5070 While you may have a point, the fact of the matter is that we never see them in space. I'm not necessarily saying it's a hard and fast rule, it's just something a friend mentioned when we talked about the episode.
But that was a decoy who said that, and we don’t know how far down the decoy line he was so it’s possible that the real Rick made the decoys able to travel through space
@@haydenthompson8814 yea didn’t they say he was sleeping in a cave?
I like how the better, higher tier families are better developed, smarter and more deadlier. Which is why I believe that the last families standing in the end are likely to be the first clone variants. Which is why at the very end when the last family died to Huntee, only then was Space Rick informed that his decoy family had been killed. This only makes sense if Space Rick is our Rickest Rick, if not then meh.
This makes the most sense
I think that's pretty obvious
Space Rick has to be because decoys only do terrestrial self contained adventures and he was in space with space beth = not self contained
I’d be pissed off if that was another decoy, but it would be expected.
not just a suicide tooth, the other Rick had a shield tooth to protect himself from the explosion
ohh, so that was that
Cybernetically enhanced, it wasn't in his tooth. Watch the Rickchurian Mortydate. The one where they _fight_ with cartoon president Obama.
@@Robert_McGarry_Poems Wha? You can clearly see the other Rick bite into his tooth. You can even go frame by frame and see the tooth get crunched away with bits of pieces flying off.
@@LightsJusticeZ can i have a timestamp?
@@entity5279 13:33
The family that hunted mr always-wants-to-be-hunted is the family that died in the car in the beginning of the episode
Yup
It's so surprising he missed this in both this video and the long-form discussion video
Which is why Rick doesn't recognize the character who shot him at the end.
That’s what I was saying I thought I was missing something
@Miguel Messina no shit
It's possible that Mr Always Wants To Be Hunted was a patch put in each decoy household because Rick identified a proclivity for the clones to want to hunt down each other. In that regard, Mr Always Wants To Be Hunted would have been a way to redirect that energy.
If so, Mr Always Wants To Be Hunted *is* the decoy for Decoy Ricks. They....should...have....hunted...him.
That... actually makes a lot of sense?!
Rick didn't know the clones where making other clones though
@@jaydenhamence6522 I mean rick is the rickest rick and probably knew that was a possibility after all the clones/decoys aren't as smart as the real rick
asimov's robot stories are not really about how robots will inevitably turn on their creators. most of the stories are little mysteries about UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES where the protagonist tries to figure out how a specific set of conditions combined with the laws of robotics resulted in this or that crime that shouldn't have been possible. and actually, if you take into account the all FOUR laws of robotics, it's the diametric opposite of robots turning on humans.
I saw Asimov Cascade at Lollapalooza
Not only that, Asimov explicitly said that he started writing about robots to counter the tired cliche of robots turning on their creators. That's why the "I, Robot" movie was an insult to his legacy.
also rule 34 isnt about robots they just threw it in there to be edgy
The zeroth law was only posited to exist in Giskard and, after careful explanation to prevent damage, Daneel. It's revelation was the result of major buildup over several novels. One of the best ever, I think.
I didn't understand a thing in this episode except the fact I heard the word decoy alot
And you were a general in the Clone Wars 🤦🏻♂️
Rick just created bunch of decoy just to keep that wanted-to-be-hunted thing busy.
Say decoy again...
Master Skywalker. 👍
It is over Anakin, I have the high ground.
I think when Rick hands Jerry the tiny gun it's a reference to an extremely similar scene in Men in Black where Agent K hands Angent J that tiny gun.
Im surprised Voss missed that. And Im pretty sure while Jerry was holding the "Noisy Cricket," Beth had a big ol rifle, just like Agent K had.
Well and its an easy weapon to use
Im pretty sure the diet coke thing was a reference to trumps button to get coke delivered to him in the oval office
It was you’re right
Am I the only one that want that button.
@@MandeepSingh-wi5oc same
Why did he have to say “get your white ass” and be racist? Wtf
@@R3Cat because it’s funny
When the prime family is going back to earth Rick says someone killed "the" decoy family. All the other Ricks say "a" decoy.
Yeah because the space rick only created 1 decoy family
All decoy Ricks originally thought they created only one decoy family.
@@schwarzerritter5724 Then why do all the decoy Ricks say "a" family and not "the" family
@@brianpinkey676 They later figured out there are more.
@@schwarzerritter5724 Yea later they did. I'm talking about when the first decoy family was killed the ricks say "a" decoy family. Meaning those ricks created more than just one family. Added a little nod to the Asimov cascade, I create one, my creation creates two, and they create four, so on and so on.
You didn't notice this:
A Jerry decoy is still out there. After a decoy of Rick lock down the house, Morty said that Jerry is out. Then the house exploded.
You missed the pink Rick being against the wall being a reference to Pink Panther

I'm confused...
I think the "I'm out, don't pull me back in" bit was a nod to The Godfather.
I think it was for both.
The puppet family isn’t the family that’s we saw hunting Mr. Alwayswantstobehunted. That family got melted in their car at the beginning.
6:37 That is Canada my friend...and nowhere near NY lmao 😆
“Did we Tee you up?” The Rick that gets killed by Mr. Hunted isn’t the one that was hunting him in the beginning because he doesn’t even know Mr. Hunted was a thing.
im shocked he didnt notice that
What does "tee" mean in this?
@@driveasandwich6734 set up
@@driveasandwich6734 it’s a golfing reference. To “tee up” your shot is to set it up. So it’s just asking “did we set you up (to be important to the plot)?”
One funny callback I noticed was during the final fight, Morty is fighting himself with a spoon, just like in the purge episode when he throws a spoon to Rick to help him.
13:21 shows Morty trying to kill another Morty with a spoon. I feel like this is a callback to season 2, episode 9. Rick is fighting a purging local; requesting Morty for “a little help”, and Morty passes him a spoon.
Eventually I knew when families were decoys, because Rick would doubt himself or the others would say stuff that the Smith family we watch would never say.
Obviously space Rick at the end is the real Rick because they say decoys go on fun "terrestrial" adventures mean they never leave Earth.
That is what they want you to think
Doesn’t Rick c-137 always have drool? That was how we tracked him in the episode where he destroys the intergalactic government and the citadel of Ricks.
It’s possible that so far this season we’ve been following a different Rick and Morty. It’s also possible that this IS C-137 Rick and Morty and the writers are trying to throw us off with the lack of drool. Or maybe our Rick has just stopped drinking?
They also said decoys can't make decoys, but that wasn't correct
@@kenzokenzo but we never see any of the ricks use a portal gun
We’re not just gonna disregard the causal cars porn the was slid in there

He was definitely dual wielding Energy swords

Ya, the coolest reference to me
4:44 wow this didn't age well...
I was thinking throughout how the hell! is Erik gonna explain all this 🙂🤭😁
He messed up on the second family so he definitely had trouble
The Highlander reference was my favorite.
Can you explain
@@arhamimam8547 The movie is about Immortals fighting for the prize, and the thing they say is that there can only be one you should check it out it’s awesome and it has a great soundtrack by Queen.

@@MrBeegs88 Time for the famed Christian forgiveness then :)
You missed the word "hentai" on Rick's board
If they had hunted "Mr Always Wanted To Hunted", none of this would have happened.
Rick's member is canonically ginormous. This episode is far from the first one where he strips, and there's always a long blur like down to his knees.
This episode was insane! Loved the craziness of it.
9:52 - The Only time I get to see all of the smith family being a complete badass, including jerry

The decoy at the top of the map is in Canada as it is more north than the Bay of Fundy. Looks to be in Manitoba or Ontario. As they say in Canada peace oooot.
Yeah, I'm not sure how he thought that was NY
So, where does Erik think Canada is?
The one he called "Vegas" is actually off the coast of Oregon, in the Pacific Ocean.
At the end when the 2 decoy family's are fighting the Marty's are using spoons to kill each other. I'm pretter sure this is referencing the episode "Look who's purging now" when Marty gives a spoon to Rick to kill a incoming purger.
jerry sitting in the backseat and morty in the front is so funny

¿Um what?
@@cheslerpark7223 the woodpecker character and the other are the aliens at the end of the movie AI who finds the robot AI
I was legit just checking for this a minute ago!
Knowing that our Ricks family died, it makes sense why he'd want "his own" beth so to speak, a badass space daughter
The little creature that poops candy looks like a relative of that creature (jackoff, I think) that Morty fondles in the mindbenders episode
Quick correction, the more advanced and further along the decoy is in their costume game, the further along the decoy is along the decoy line.
That's why real Rick was notified about his decoy dying last, making him the real Rick and also why the Pinocchio family was wayyy ahead of the other decoys (because they're newer decoys).
i LOVE Call me By your name. And i didn't even notice that reference. SO THANKS hahaah
I was thinking that Dracula was referencing the Godfather Part 3.
I thought that too
Wooden toy Rick's spaceship is an obvious nod to Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine.
It looked like a steampunk reference
@@aliengranpa go look at his flying machine designs and still say that.
I think it was da Vinci’s tank design
One of the funniest episodes I’ve seen in a while
The opening line about God being up above is actually foreshadowing the closing scene depicting “real” Rick in space while all of this unfolds.
I thought the wooden people were a reference to the Da Vinci robot from Futurama. The spaceship definitely looked like a Da Vinci design
When the two ricks at the end began fighting one of them ignites two swords that look like Halo energy swords
Same.
0:50 okay based on that I like to think in the rick and morty universe their fictional version of God was like "well, looks like we kind of started over I guess? Eh, lets do it again."
Mother of god. I just realized something. The president from 12:46 sounds exactly like your commander in CoD 4: modern warfare... WOW.
This episode reminded me of Ship of Theseus.
is it just me getting mad invincible vibes when the ricks say “no you’re the clone”
Sad that he didn’t mention The Mauler Twins
Spot on. Well done. I would've watched the episode forever and never got half of that. But I know it's there subliminally
Great video and insight
Thanks
I just think it’s crazy that Rick doesn’t drink in this season ( yet)
u didnt mention how one of the Mortys tried to kill the other with a silverspoon which he did in the purge ep
the episode was just insane... thanks for all the easter eggs.
My mind melted watching this episode.
I thought Jerry's eternal existence was a nod to the film artificial. But I guess you take what you want. Really like these break downs.
2:44 I dare you speak of the high ground
Ha
Bravo, that was awesome. So many of those 'things you missed' videos have random facts or obvious things. R&M is a bit unique with the millions of references, but I'm still really impressed with your video.
Duuuval!
Just made my day - had no idea you are from the 904. Small world.
The faceplates on Morty also remind me of the Funtime animatronics from Sister Location
yes someone mentioned it
10:15 Somebody That I Used To Know Rick
Lol at the blue on Erik’s Loki tee getting keyed out. 😆
Rick said the decoys were supposed to have "terrestrial" adventures, so it makes sense that the real family isn't on planet.
Gonna call out that Summer getting a lightsaber might be referencing the mini story from the Story Train episode where we see Summer fighting the now dead exfriend Tammy with lightsabers. Summer's just a big fan of Star Wars.
As soon as I watch any Rick and morty episode I am waiting for this video so I know I didn’t miss anything
lol the Duval shout out cracked me up
The only thing I took away from this video is that Rick is packing and we should be scared
12:00 of all the things they went with cars… now I just hear Owen Wilson saying wow but for a different reason…
Im glad u mentioned tha laser whip, i thought it was a nice, subtle call back
Love these vids!
I think Roiland just mis-spoke and meant to say "Starfox 64" not 'season 4'
Yeah, makes a lot more sense.
13:08 but since they had skeletons, werent they the actual prime family?
good point
Unless they were clones...
Thank God for channels like this
The entire episode seems to play on the concept of the Golgotha system. Even making it explicit in the after credits scene with Jerry in the garden of Golgotha as the skull.
The wooden Rick families car/ship is a reference to tank drawn by Da Vinci.
10:05 isn't that the same alien Rick zapped in the ending of the Unity episode??
Nope, totally different
You made me think my PC was a raspberry Pie with Low power with that Icon at the bottom.....LOL
Thanks for pointing out the laser whip callback from Promortyus!
By the way, the wood family's sapce ship is very similar to Da Vincis flying machine.
i noticed that too, but im pretty sure you mean the da Vinci tank, not the flying machine
Well the Integral Symbol is actually a Latin Curved S, This was used for the notation in order to emphasize the Mathematical notion that the Integral is the Limit Of Riemann Sums Or the Smoothing Of An Infinite Number Of Trapeziums Or Riemann Sum Terms, So Technically, it is actually saying ASS!
I'm pretty sure that drive thru the desert Rick was an homage to "Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas "
the basket family could be a reference to in the pilot when jerry said 'well now you can build baskets'
They're not the same family. Rick doesn't even know who Mr hunt me is at the end
Ah yes the one near Vegas even though it’s in the ocean
You confused the Rick driving in the desert for "Thelma And Louise" but it was more like "Fear And Loathing"
Asimov really didn't write about robot uprising. That was just the movie. Many of his stories point was that the 3 laws were unbreakable and even if at first it might look like a robot uprising it wasn't
I feel like the majority of these "Easter Eggs" are you just explaining the jokes or pointing out purposefully obvious references. In some cases you're just making huge stretches to connect things that may not be connected.
Thank you for sharing your feelings. Wait, strike that.
not a single portal was used in this episode. im typing this mid way through the episode lol
There’s another one where the real rick’s decoy said to decoy Beth “there’s apart of me that cares about you” or something like that, it references season 4 last episode where he decides to change
The jerries hugging and crying made me laugh out loud lol
