and nightly looks like freddie mercury because the anniversary of his death was on the day that the episode premiered
Yes glad to know I'm not the only one from his outfit to how he has a broken in half Mic stand like Freddie had.
Yeah Ive noticed the outfit as one of many famous Freddie Mercurys outfits of all time
Zack S I noticed that 😂
I thought the same well said
Zack S THANK U I thot I was the only one who realised that
This aired the same weekend as one of the largest jewel heists ever (over 1 billion stolen)
TheRandompaint The heist happened Monday morning at 4:58am in Germany. Depending on where you live in North America the heist took place as the episode was airing.....
@@BlaikeMcG conspiracy?
That was the real plot twist of the episode
Biggest division of all the time.
@@BlaikeMcG in germany the episode aired on Monday 5am in Germany so yeah thats something ^^
The origami is also a "money heist" reference. As is the whole Morty selling a heist script to Netflix thing.
I love that ahow
The origami can also be a reference to oceans 12 where the silver fox leaves them a origami fox
No its not, moneyheist came out after this episode
@@shot4rz eehm, no?
The character, key catcher, literally only catches a key in the hotel scene.
The post-credits scene of this episode really set a mood...like there really IS some kind of storm coming plot-wise. Also seeing Morty like that at the end of the episode makes it seem like there's something not right with him. I mean, yeah, he just lost all his motivation for his Netflix pitch, but him not talking to Rick or even paying attention. It's like he's lost motivation for adventuring with his grandpa too because he feels like that's his only role now.
You want evil Mortys. Because I feel that's how you get evil Mortys!
Morty died in this episode. Rick had to kill him because he left the ointment on too long. Who knows what Morty that one is
For real, I'm thinking this Morty IS Evil Morty. Or he's being influenced by Evil Morty, Machiavelli style.
Morty already lost the plot near the end saying he wasn't interested in dreams like selling his story to Netflix and declares he will just go along with whatever rick does forever. Then Rick breaks the 4th wall and rhetorically replies if that's what you want. Morty and everyone watching feel the same. we're all just waiting for the next adventure. The Rubik's cube, could be Morty trying to improve his intellect so, Ooowee. The classic heist genre ending that hints at a sequel because they pulled it off so well. Special Ricktim's Morty. A Christmas special with Scrooge and little Tim a Christmas Carol theme, could be a dark one, for the irony fans.
Welp, hope your ready to be disappointed cause thats pretty much all they do when they set stuff up.
This isnt even our rick it's the rick with poopy butthole universe
Anyone else notice Rick has no drool this episode?
I did.Weird.Was the bastard sober or what?
He was too focused on keeping Morty from working on his Netflix series pitch to even drink...damn.
Maybe thats a different Rick and not C137 🤷🏻♂️
Jérome Schubert that part
He drools in the post credits though
Has no one realized that when Randotron shot Rick and the others, Mr. Poopybutthole got shot in the same place where Beth shot him. He was also flung back the same way he did.
probably saved money by using old animation.
This hole episode just took a dump on now you see me 1 and 2
When Rick takes out the assimilation gas, he says, "Whose kidneys are these?". This is a callback to lawnmower dog. Did you notice that
This was easily my favorite episode this whole season! I mean like, Rick did all that just so Morty would stop talking about his script.
I was hoping to see Jaguar in this episode. Hopefully they bring him back in a later episode
I didn't think about that till now, and now I'm disappointed
“And the name’s GLAAR!!!”
Funniest line of the episode😂😂😂
I was expecting a reference to Money Heist since its aired by Netflix too
This came out before money heist
@@shot4rz NO IT DID NOT. Money Heist 2017, Season4 2019.
the origami
I love how everything is super complicated, but he comes up with such simple names as Heistotron and Randotron.
Thanks for this. I watched a similar video from screenrant and they literally missed EVERYTHING
Classic ScreenRant.
Is everyone gonna ignore that nightly looks like freddie mercury
Freddie mercury died on the same day as the episode premier
Is it me or are one of the species of alien which there planet was either heisted or destroyed looked like galvans (greymatter) from the Ben 10 series
Up
Nobody watches cartoon.. Nerd😛
@@kobi-wanaenobi7080 Ben 10 (the 4 og series) actually has a very mature and big fan base :v
@@doctor4961 joke*
the dark storm clouds could be referencing the return and plot of Evil Morty
Very true considering Morty was just playing with the Rubik's
It's like Morty is about to solve the cube and unlock some part of his mind. Also don't forget there's a whole room of memories that our Morty doesn't have. Who knows why Rick removed certain memories. Remember, the different dimensions, are like our own, but with just ONE different detail. Which means there's lots of dimensions where Morty turns evil.
@@ZebbeCali yup I gotta say I think our morty is special somehow. He's developing evil tendencies himself(not the only morty to do this though) but he's also showing intelligence(again not the only morty to do this). However, our morty does seem to be more assertive than others.
Johnny Rico was the way I gotta was a time to make a beer for dinner tonight at the night before I go get 67
Johnny Rico but like what if it’s just a tornado then it’d be like that Simpson’s episode with the tornado so marge pulls out the Rubik’s cube ( also twister is just a tornado movie)
The guy's name is Elon Tusk, the company is Tuskla.
I mean
It's not like in this dimension it's called muskla
you watched the episode too?
@@momojd1812 👉👉
Maybe Tesla's name is Nikola Tuskla in that dimension.
@@draxthemsklonst Yes I thought that too
7:24 Elon profile pic the best thing about this vid
The origami horse could also be a reference to Ocean’s 12 and Night Fox sometimes leaving a figurine.
its referencing Money heist which is also a Netflix series
@@AmroElgharib exactly, the paper color is red there too, also the Netflix exec looks like the Professor.
I believe Heist-a-Tron is a reference to Ultron and how he learned from Tony Stark.
his planet destroying ship is even named Tony lol
@@Slaanesh2777 lmao
i think tron is just a funny robot suffix
Heist-A-Tron is also has the same planet stealing penchant that Brainiac has.
This is my fav episode of the season so far
It was amazing
You should know that they knew this was going to be your fav episode, they planed it that way ;)
I like how at the end, Morty twists the exact same face of the Rubik's Cube a solid 15 times (twisting the same face 4 times is the same thing as not twisting it at all)
The split hands are from Ghost in the Shell.
Was about to comment that...
This scene, specifically: /watch?v=ipf9WiY9c7g
You missed one of the attendees! On the left side of the screen when we get a wide angle after Rick and Morty portal in, you can see the elderly couple at the couples therapy Beth and Jerry attend in "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez" (S02 E07). You can see them in the video at 2:13.
The monster at the tier badge booth reminds me of Roz from monsters Inc
They missed that professor Poopybuthole fighting his class is an assassination classroom reference.
THE "HE'S LEARNING SCENE" WHERE THE ROBOT REPEATS WHAT RICK SAYS IS A DIRECT REFERENCE TO THE DOCTOR WHO EPISODE "Midnight" STARRING DAVID TENNANT I CANT HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE TO NOTICE THIS!!
"coat rip off dr strange" a nod to dr strange
NO WAY REALLY?
LOLLLLL
I'm telling you, we are watching evil morty. He's waaaay too different lately. Even in the post credits scene, his eyes are low like he's evil morty. Maybe even....becoming evil Morty? Remember he totally let Rick die this season. Is Rick still removing his more gruesome memories? Maybe that's why he removes them, so morty won't turn evil, and because he hasn't been doing so lately, Morty is slowly going to the dark side.
I thot he was on the citadel or ur saying this could be a different evil morty
Victor Valdez thing is, we don't know when that happened relative to canon. They won't use time as a plot device, they've said, but the canon could serve that function. Perhaps the episodes are mixed up, in an inconsistent way. Perhaps influencing Morty's to his side by influencing events across the finite curve, is Evil Morty's plan. Or perhaps it IS Evil Morty. Episode three of this season introduced heists happening before, during, and after other heists. It's possible we've seen Evil Morty doing any number of things right in front of us, hiding in plain site. Any Morty we've seen could be Evil Morty. The only thing we know is we are always with the Rickest Rick. Plus Rick is often very careless with his Morty, a tragic flaw of most Ricks.
how did you miss "big pluto" being a nod to disney by it having the mickey ears?
Also uranus with a bite taken out of it with the "eating ass" meme accredited to millenials.
You forgot two joke that could be a funny Easter egg:
Knightly looks like DC's Sinestro even having yellow
Heistatron's planet collection is similar to Braniacs miniature worlds collection.
He also has the same jacket as Freddy Mercury yellow leather and white pants with the red stripe
Anyone else notice that when nightly sets the heist it's 60% putting the crew together and 40% revealing it's already happened
Bruh the second alien to get assimilated to the heist crew in the heist con line is the other doctor from interdimensional cable 2
It seems like the reason Knightley got killed was because his skeleton was all gold, or gold plated like Wolverine's skeleton is, that's why he got "heisted".
I think Glar is a reference to Glottis, the film noir bar pianist/ demon mechanic in the video game Grim Fandango, who has a similar hulking stature/name/career
I think "Driver with Asperger's" refers more to "Driver" with Ryan Gosling than "Baby Driver" as that was a very popular theory about his character... tho it could be a general nod to both as a kind of trope overall...
No
Look at the sign in the bar scene w the piano player, take the first letter of all three words together and see what it spells 😭😭
hehe
🤣😂🤣3:20😂🤣😂
The official synopsis for Claw and Hoarder refers to Morty getting a dragon, broh.
Doesn't mean it's not a murder mystery, otherwise it wouldn't be a Law and Order joke.
What a delight to watch such details! truly you doing a great job.
The greatest heist in real life just took place in Germany resulting in over a BILLLION dollars in gems stolen. Boom.... WDRD, what did Rick do?
I just love that Mr poopybutthole is back and healthy
A year later and no one has commented on the device that stops ricks portal tech allowing Morty to teleport.
Did anyone else notice that this episode doesn't take place with the Rick and Morty from dimension C-137? If we see Mr. Poopybuthole then we know it's not the same Dimension.
joseph noftell aha didn't think of that. Gotta ponder on the implications. And he's got the cane so he's definitely the one that Beth shot.
at 5:21 I love the parodi on the painting of vermeer "melkmeisje" with a ninja turtle Leonardo
They put on literal plot armor.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best Rogue One rewatch ever!
Imma say first but u already know someone got here quicker
Great job in research and in production. Cudos from Brazil! By the way it's a shame we don't get simultaneos release, I would love to watch it officially even if I had to pay for it.
Just finish watching the episode and then this pops up thankxxx
lmao the part where the ball hits rick and does nothing but bounces off gets me every time
Love your analysis
The Heist Con logo with the Hand and Diamond reminds me of the criterion poster for Rififi (1955).
4:35 i never knew he was referencing doctor strange at all, i thought it was a reference to 2001 a space odyssey
Anyone notice that the first line of the description says this is a Rogue One rewatch? 😂
He copy and pasted the link
the theme with the cut-offs like squares in movie sequences are from "The Thomas Crown Affair" from the '60s
6:34
Nightly getting ripped apart is a refrence to day of the dead's "choke on em" scene. It's even framed the same.
9:33 this is the same podcast that summer was looking at in season 5 when rick goes to save bird person
Faith Hilling as a reference to South Park Season 16 Episode 3
after they got shot by randotron mr pbh was selling cows and in the back poster was a poster june 18 which could be a hint to alex hirsch's birthday
#18: Those are Tesla coils.
You mean Tuskla coils
love this channel
Nice work.
this episode was a real masterpiece
Knightley is wearing Freddie Mercury's outfit from Queen's 1986 performance at Wembley and also holding a mic without the stand which is a trademark of Freddie's. Also Freddie is a LEGEND
The origami calling card simultaneously references multiple other shows and media too, like Oceans 12, Fritz Lang, Pink Panther, and Sly Cooper to name a few
3:53 Trucula could also be a reference to Dragula from The Munsters.
The dead body being a cake thing might be a reference to Star Vs the Forces of Evil.
Angie Flint’s hands remind me of Ulysses Klaue
the scene where they carry the planet back is a reference to Invader Zim’s episode - Planet Jackers
I’m pretty sure Uranus having a bite out of it is a reference to Gravity Falls where Bill takes a bite out of a planet during his attempt to get Stanford to join his crew.
I think the coming storm is Evil Morty and the twist will be that Rick ( rickest Rick) is his Rick.
I think the origami reference is off of Ocean's 12 night fox or François Toulour. It's even a mentioned and continued reference throughout the whole episode
On the "Planet Shell" you jump "Big Pluto" that has the form of Mickey head. A joke about the size of planet Pluto in addition with the dog reference after you see the 'ears'
the robotic arm rick features is the one he got in the "123s of beth" episode
ABC's of Beth?
αβψ's of Beth?
It’s weird hearing you cuss😂 at 11:25 “get early access to all this shit”😂
Truckula was referencing mator when he turns into a vampire in cars 2
And the name comes from Truckla - A tesla 3 modified into a truck by Simone Giertz
Big Pluto looks like a hidden mickey
And I wonder if "Big Pluto" is another Disney reference in the same way we say "Big Oil" and suchlike.
A very common theme this season is that morty is getting smarter, less dependent on rick, resentful of rick, and more cynical... a cocky morty is trouble
Deadpool has that group gathering with a funny twist
It’s all the same it’s all the same
Aaahhhhhh
Other easter egg (maybe) : When the ship explodes in the background, it looks a lot like the Death Star explosion in the original Star Wars.
I think that the giant red heistotron that kills the planet from space is a reference to the hulk buster suit scene from age of ultron. Especially since the thing was named tony
Hi! Love your content! I think you miss the reference of Total Recall in the minute 5:03 of the video when the three boobs alien appears
Another small detail is Mr. Poopybutthole's cattle auction says "No bull" and "Heifers only" which I thought was funny
Also Knightly is clearly based on Freddie Mercury for some reason
The best part of this episode was the part where Epstein didn’t kill himself.
The best part is that an error occurred while the largest Jewel heist in history was taking place in Germany
Everyone missed the "Day Of The Dead" callout.
Choke on 'em!
The joke with the tusks on the white board is Tuskla coil, like the well known device the Tesla coil... not it being a flux capacitor inspiration for his inventions
The dressing up as police story could also be inspired by Tony Stark from Endgame dressing up as a swat officer to get the tesseract.
Was the Elon musk in the kitchen part a reference to his cameo in The Big Bang theory?
All I got from the after-credits scene is "a storm is coming". Shit is probably gonna go down.
I think that at some point during this episode, probably just after morty left the netflix building, he was kidnapped and replaced by evil morty, i think that's the storm and the big twist on the horizon. And what better time to set it up than in an episode about twists
DredNot I think it was before even that.
@@ZebbeCali since before then? When were you thinking? Because the way he just caves into exactly what rick wants to hear right at the end of the last episode is the only time he seems... uncharacteristic.
Knightly looked like Freddie Mercury
Planet Heist, Doctor Who David Tennant run. Daleks took a lot of planets.
3dark7 isnt the whole episode a reference to time *heist*(same name as company) and the doctor plans the whole heist, like rick planned this
That building of heist-totron is doctor dofinzmetre from phenis and ferb
Dragula is in my opinion more a reference to Rob Zombies Song Dragula in which he is driving his vehicle called Dragula
I think far from home and Endgame is a bit of a reach. lol
Far from home is a reach but endgame is definitely a heist they even say “time heist” in the movie
Thousands dead, none injured is a newspaper joke from Futurama
The paper unicorn is more a nod to Oceans 12 than Blade runner
I was thinking since the color is red from Netflix's Money Heist (La Casa de Papel)
@@jip5889 DEFINITELY from money heist.
