If Evil Morty uses the Omega weapon to wipe-out Rick across infinity, then he will face an infinite amount of Summer. If he uses it again to eliminate Summer, then he will face Space Beth from across infinity. If he eliminates Beth, then he will have to eliminate himself because an infinite number of Morty will hunt him down.
It kinda makes sense since there was some ricks going after rick prime for killing his wife across infinity
What a galactic war would that be
Ricket wars?
As Evil Morty said "You don't use a weapon like this to get left alone."
15:57 he expected the food to taste better now that his mission is complete and vengeance has been dealt, but it tastes exactly the same.
Idk if they’ve pointed it out before but the Mortys in close Rick-counters calling our Morty ‘the one true Morty’ makes a lot of sense after finding out he’s Rick Prime’s Morty, making him Morty prime
They pointed this out when we found out our Morty is Rick Prime's original Morty.
Who is our rick's original morty then? Didn't remember that bit about our morty being rick prime's morty. and who's morty is evil morty?
@@noah568ifyC-137 doesn't have a morty, his daughter and wife died because of rick prime. Rick prime's morty is the morty currently with C-137, and evil morty you can watch his origin in the beginning of this episode.
@@jyroatadero3869 it always confused me, in the Rick's flashbacks when prime rick attached the diane we also see little beth but i thought how could beth survive and have a family. it all makes sense now, our rick technically lost his original family and has no one. thank you for the clarification.
Don't you get it? No one's the 'true' Morty or Rick here. This episode clearly showed this fact by making Rick prime just as vulnerable as any other, the only difference is him being a little more stubborn. Evil Morty took on that mantle of seemingly being the 'prime' of all, but we don't know how long that reign will last either. We also got to see the vulnerability of our Rick, and how his 'god-like' status is a mere facade compared to the vastness and complexity of the multiverse beyond the curve. Everyone thinks they're the main character here, we just happen to have been seeing the one with a television contract and 100 seasons to make. I think in some way Rick realizes that too, considering how he was aware of the meta-world in that one episode.
Evil Morty did not kill his Rick, he installed domination hardware connected to Evil Morty's eye patch interface. Later in the sequence, you can see Evil Morty's Rick attempt suicide, meaning he still has a conscious, and some bodly function when not being directly puppeted.
Incorrect, Rick Prime's Morty is OUR (C137's) Morty. Evil Morty's Rick is his Rick
@@spencerkagen1386I love how you are so confident and yet so wrong lmfaooo
@@yanlopez674 hey, I can admit when I'm wrong. I got confused
@@Qster83 I mean technically our Morty isn't c137 it's the Cronenberg dimension, our RICK is from c-137.
C-137 is technically Rick Prime, our Rick (wifes dead Rick) usurped his identity when he left U-137 (which is the cronenberg dimension) we dont know WHAT his original universe designation is
I like how the ending part shows that if Rick had moved on he would've been much happier and satisfied with life
To me it seemed he felt like the imposter he is. Rick Prime laid it out straight as he was being bludgeoned to death.. Paraphrased, "You lived in MY house, with MY family". Kinda sad really
rick is smart, with his capabilities he couldnt move on; he knew he’ll get there someday
Makes me wonder what would've happened then. Would the citadel have been created? If not, would evil morty have been created? Lots of questions to ask.
How was he supposed to move on? Live with a family that rick prime killed? Or with a wife that was erased from every universe by rick prime? Was c-137 supposed to become a monk or what?
With Rick's daughter dead he has no reason to live exept for revenge...
I think the most brilliant part of this episode… Evil Morty goes into the greater Multiverse, and so many people have portal travel that they’re just killing each other left and right by accident. Clearly Rick was smart to confine his finite curve to one where only he possessed portal travel. Otherwise it just would’ve been an unbridled mess of death and destruction.
When an infinite amount of people can portal, the inevitable result is just an infinite “killing field” of people portaling on top of one another. Basically, Kang was right.
the dinosaurs had a better portal travel gun that showed destination; i think evil Morti may access that technology
@@lernikr.hovsepyan5395Better? It was just more gimmicky
@@lernikr.hovsepyan5395better tor normal people, rick is constantly hunted and if people saw where he goes, he'll be attacked 24/7
@@madeupstory9510 How many died because they were sure they knew where they were going?
Rick C137 built the central finite curve to trap Rick Prime
I think there was a meta commentary in Evil Morty's referring Rick emptiness.
Dan Harmon talked about it in the train episode on how he is in ongoing pressure of creating canon episodes with evil Morty and Rick prime. Now he did everything very quick basically concluding all loose ends of the lore, and he asks us basically "how does it feel" as in "how does it feel that we have everything we wanted".
We got it all, and it does feel the same, but kind of hollow.
Nice call. Makes me wonder if this is the end of any canon stories. There really isn't much reason to continue evil morty's storyline now. Although evil morty did make an aside about using C137 Rick in the future. But that could be a throw-away line, just to set something up incase they do want to revisit evil morty. The only canon storyline left I think is the memory rick story and maybe bird daughter.
It does not feel hollow at all. I'm happy we got the ending to Rick's revenge arc
@@douglasmarshall6949agreed it was a satisfying end. I'm interested to see how rick and the smith family are gonna progress from here
i always thought that rick and morty was here to question the audiences morality and gratfication
@@douglasmarshall6949facts I’m excited for more
I loved this episode. Litlle extra detail, the Rick evil Morty was controlling also tried to off himself but he stopped it, which gives deeper meaning to when the Morty swarm escapes and the rick being controlled screams 'kill me! do it mfs!" cause he literally couldn't.
Johnny 2 Cellos actually mentions that in his little review video
That was maybe my fav realisation. I also think that, in general, Rick can't kill himself and Rick prime was doing all this to try and get himself killed.
@@user-ub2ku1if8c it's not that deep I think
evil morty programmed his rick that way. You can see the eye patch displayed "sewer slide attempted contained" in the opening
@@MrShroomz84 Johnny 2 celio's explanation video is so much better than this right? he is a full time nerd for cartoons, kind of a genius in his own way.
That's not an extra detail, that was literally spoon fed to viewers during this episode...
I don’t think Rick would have become Rick prime (if Rick prime didn’t kill his wife first), I think he would have been simple Rick assuming he really said he was going to give all the scifi BS to Dianne
We didn't see prime rick's backstory, if we know, whst he said might be true
He was only dissuaded from looking more into science because of Rick Prime though, so had Prime not been there he would've most likely kept researching
Random question: Morty Prime (our Morty) is the “Mortiest Morty”. However, Rick Prime isn’t the “Rickest Rick”? Or were we misled when they said C-137 Rick (our Rick) is the “Rickest Rick”?
I have a question: When, exactly, did Rick Prime eradicate every Diane? More specifically, how old was BETH when every Diane was eradicated?
I ask because if the Ricks abandoned their families, and Diane was eradicated while Beth was a child, I want to know who actually raised Beth.
Seeing evil morty and our rick work together was really sick. Didnt expect it but i want more of it tbh
Apart of me thought this would be a jealous kinda episode where Morty gets mad that Rick and Evil Morty are getting close. But it didn't go in that direction
Correction, evil Morty didn't kill his Tick, he turned him into a puppet. Hence why he later attempts suicide, but is stopped
It's a CZcams monetize and self deletion issue. They just didn't wanna touch the subject😂😂😂
Tick. Really
The crystal evil Morty gets is the same crystal Rick uses for inter dimensional cable, the sunset isn’t a shield it’s a view taken from another universe
I think Evil Morty is a really interesting character, he's basically like a rick in a morty's body, and purely due to that he doesnt want to have anything to do with Rick himself.
And then just out pure annoyance he basically does what Rick couldnt and killed Rick Prime.
And even let Rick have the final blow because he literally does not care, he just wants to be left alone.
yeah he is op love him
Very good episode, completely unexpected for a mid season episode! Probably my favourite episode so far along with the vat of acid episode!
I honestly thought this was the season finale
it really gave season finale vibes. it makes you wonder what the season finale will be like
Favorite*
But yes I agree! I watched it thrice actually
@@darkneon5637that’s what they were going for. We all feel like Rick. Like what now?
@@adamcheeseplease Favourite and favorite is both possible
I love the idea of evil Morty being a foil to Rick in the sense that Rick thinks there is no way to escape from 'the system', but that's only because he doesn't want to leave the Central Finite Curve where he is the smartest entity. Evil Morty does everything to escape the CFC so he can get away from his toxic relationship with Rick
No. Evil Morty's Lair is in the Central finite curve. His ship's navigation screen shows him going to a reality within the curve.
But he doesn't get away... Like he says in the end of the ep, "now that he is dead what will you do?". He is basically a being without purpose now that he achieved his ultimate goal. His life has become a bore fest and all he does is idle away in his small space station in which he basically watches TV all day... Without his nemesis and his master plan, he is just some random 14 year old kid that doesn;t know what to do with his life...
i love when evil morty say summer would come after him and when you think about it summer would easily kill evil morty in a way that a morty wouldn't think of.
Hell nah Evil Morty would not get killed by summer😂 his whole character is just wanting peace and be left alone being hunted down by an infinite amount of his sister is not what he wants
@@mysticalgamer9368narratively it’d be perfect, cause Evil Morty, the most savvy and capable Morty in the curve who bested even the best Ricks, is still a petty entity who could have easily left the curve without throwing a passive tantrum and committing genocide against a whole race just to have the high horse 😂
Often not talked about, Evil Morty downloaded so many Ricks into his head. It's why he fights so well with Rick prime and at the end, he does come across as the most Ricky of Morty's for solid reasons. Our Morty if anything has grown more bold, standing up to Rick more often and being assertive., the Mortiest Morty.
When Evil Morty scanned Rick Prime to read his moves, it's almost exactly how Brixton Lore's combat computer works in Hobbs & Shaw to react to their attacks almost before they make them. He even sees things in the same orange/gold overlay.
Rick didnt use anything other than his hands to emphasize the emotion. Murdering someone with your own two hands is said to be something you do when something is personal.
Killing your wife I think everyone knows is EXTREMELY personal
The alien that ends up with Mrs Mobius. His wife was the one that smacked into Evil Morty’s windshield and got eaten by the monster. They’re the same species so it makes sense.
How are the rules for the Central Finite Curve and The Infinite?
Can this even work
Racismo
What did Prime Rick mean by saying that those two were the only Ricks who ACTUALLY invented portal travel?
Was every other Rick given portal travel by these two instead of having invented it themselves?
our rick is the only one who rejected being given the tech, so when prime rick portaled the bomb that killed diane, he was forced to invent it for himself to hunt him down
Exactly this. Our Rick and Rick Prime are the only two to have invented it.
@@IVAN25JOSE2 Makes sense! Still crazy how none of the other Ricks invented it
@@sophisticatednebula4236 You really think not having invented portral travel across space and time is a crazy thing? You dont have to invent something if someone just gives it to you.
So Rick prime killed our Rick because he rejected the portal gun or is there another reason
Has anybody in here pointed out that the swapping of the arm and leg turned them into Kick Puncher and Punch Kicker like in Community?
Troy and Abed live on!
Good spot, I thought it was a simpsons reference to Mr Mcgreg - with a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg
Been waiting all week for this. Hot damn that was a great episode!
for some reason I feel like our rick and evil morty work so well together, they understand how things work, and they are both not afraid to fight.
This episode was so good, i really likes how it left us feeling hollow like it did with Rick in the end
Rick Prime also says what Rick said in the train story episode "That's cause when i build something it actually works, it's called being talented", rick referring to the disguises while rick prime in this pe refers to the omega weapon
I think the infinite is a pretty underrated scene cause this is the first time weve seen Non ricks and mortys with portal tech
Becauae the infinite finite curve was destroyed or at least changed. Allowing Evil Morty to escape into universes or in this case infinites where rick isnt the dominant force.
Its also so interesting looking back now at the reason rick seems to be dominant in every universe isnt because this is his destiny but instead he made it so only universes whwre he was the smartest exists
That could also be why hes so cocky
He knows its physically impossible for smarter people than him to exist cause he made sure of it
Is not destroyed yet Morty just scape the curve. But now we the omega device evil morty will be able to destroy the curve ending Rick experience only him have portals.
yeah it's quite telling...especially since only 2 ricks actually invent portals, he isn't actually that much brighter than anyone else on average (i mean multiple flintstones invent it, but only two ricks). It really gives a lot more perspective, ricks severely limited the universes he can go to e.g. he can't discover tech he wouldn't invent himself since he's the smartest person in all the dimensions he can access since he's the smartest rick.
In the multiverse hes probs kinda dumb, i mean he's an alcoholic how is this the greatest force in the multiverse haha
Wonder if there is any hidden meaning to Evil Morty saying "The Rick Experiment".
The shield that Rick used in the box battle, reminded me a lot of the ones from No Man's Sky.
Idk if it was this episode or the one before but somewhere in there was an implication that c-137 and rick prime were the only ones to actually invent portal travel, the rest were just given the tech, which is interesting
It was strongly implied before, hence why the Council Of Ricks treat Rick C137 the way they do, and why so many enemies are trying to get the answer to portral travel from him specifically. I mean I thought it was confirmed far before, but everyone's been saying implied but only confirmed now.
@@schtuff.8207 Well when the council of ricks treated rick that way, I always thought our rick was pretending to be rick prime since he took the place of rick prime in that prime universe, hence why our morty is morty prime. Cause they called C137 Rick the rickest rick, but that was retconned later to have rick prime be the rickest rick? Either a retcon or it's the case our rick was pretending to be rick prime. But it's interesting in this episode rick prime is actually called the "worst Rick". And rick prime went onto say they were the only two to invent portal travel and their roles could have easily been reversed. So perhaps the distinction is that C137 rick is in fact the rickest rick but rick prime is the "worst rick". Cause as evil morty put it, the worst turd is a pizza, meaning the worst rick is the most different from rick.
I’ve been checking for this video every 20 minutes for the last four days!!!
Rick Prime was pure evil. So good
Btw that flying tentacle alien chasing Evil Morty was actually the thing that was hunting Rick & Morty in the cold open for "Mort Dinner Rick Andre." You can actually see it on the poster for Season 5.
12:26 this has to be a reference to Community and the Kickpuncher/Punchkicker scene with Troy and Abed
During the box bit, Scraggly Rick does a little sith walk while waiting for the glass to open - veery similar to how Darth Maul watches Obi Wan and Qui Gon.
In my opinion, rick and birdperson could have had the story of the post-credits, but they were obsessed with killing their enemies (galactic federation for BP and Rick prime for rick), and then BP rejects Rick, and all goes even worse than it was for Rick
Well rick isn't bisexual, I don't think. Hard to say when Unity is just a mass of people. So maybe he is, but there definitely were no romantic attachments involved with bird person.
One of the best episodes I’ve ever experienced, faith in Rick and morty restored 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The fact that they pointed out the eye patch is most likely a Rick scare tactic is such 10D chess my brain has exploded.
I’ve been waiting for y’all to break this episode down it’s too good
I’d love to see more of evil Morty, not a lot but just the right amount of appearances.
Awesome episode. I wish it would have been an hour or longer special
Evil Morty saying “I don’t need a Robin”. Is so savage!!! I hope he never changes.
Noticed while Rick was beating up Prime, his let's find out moment kind of mirrors Optimus Prime's "time to find out" reply to Megatron's "who would you be without me" in Transformers 3. It's a parallel but the roles are reversed. Also while rushing to Prime's omega device, Rick yells "PRIMEEE!" something Megatron would do.
I am not first, just one of an infinite many
One in a krillion!!
Clicked on this faster than the flash trying to save them babies
“Bladerunner Rick” and the “Cube” reference for the box prison was nice.
When it opened with "evil" morty's origin (sort of as it doesn't say why he's part robotic to begin with) flash back catch up I knew we were in for a good episode and I ate that shit up
Have waited this almost the entire week...
I like that evil Morty implying he doesn’t want a bunch of summers coming after him. It means that, on some level he still cares about his sister. As in he doesn’t want to then have to erase summer across infinity
i wonder what they were sorted by at 7:00, the blue bars indicate its something other than if its just a rick or a morty, maybe intelligence but evil morty had the same measurement as our morty did so i dont know maybe im reading to deep into things
I love how Evil Morty always have the idea of improving for every inventions made by Ricks.
Such a good episode felt like a season 2 episode
Very late, we were waiting for this!
Been waiting for this since the episode came out😂
Been waiting for this one! Cheers people!
I can't get over the fact that the Jetson family didn't need a helmet with fresh oxygen or the fact that the dad thought it a good idea to make his first dimensional travel with the whole family killing them in the process...
Well they were in infinity not space. I'm sure in a place like infinity, everything that exists essentially exists there, including oxygen or whatever element the corresponding beings needed to survive.
Seen lots of videos and I’m the only person to ever notice his clone before he left isn’t in the vat anymore and is gone when he shuts down his lab mean Rick prime is alive
Got a solid point here
Been waiting for this
I actually was waiting for this
Nice was waiting for this
Notice how Rick is high with those alien crystals from the last episode of S1. 9:47
I like the "um actually" line. Those always give me a laugh.
I think the scene were evil morty and rick work together to kill scraggly rick is a reference to One piece episode 521 (21:00) were zoro and sanji kill a pacifista just like the way evil morty and rick kill scraggly rick by slashing and kicking
@newrockstars did anyone notice that those drone ships look like the Nova Corps ships from Guardians of the galaxy?
I dont know if anyone noticed, but during the death battles with all the ricks, the last part before our Rick is about to fight the Indiana Jones rick, you see him pacing back and forth before the barrier opens, referencing the fight between Darth Maul and Obi Wan in Star Wars Phantom Menace.
4:01 loved this scene
06:51 - reminded me more of Star Wars when Han shoots in the Garbage compactor.
5:01 i think those are also microverse batteries, since they look the same as the microverse batteries you charge in the rick and morty vr game
Really underrated scene in my opinion is when our rick touches the omega laser and he says “Gross”………….. wonder what that was about??
Been waiting on this one
I think when rick prime asked rick who he would be if he never killed his wife and rick's answer is a reference to transformers dark of the moon when megatron asks a similar question
The killbots look a lot like a certain something in Halo
The worst turd is a pizza means at one time the worst turd was good food
7:35 "The worst turd is a pizza" just means that pizza (or really any food, they just had to pick something for the joke) is a turd in waiting. If it never gets digested (aka doing what it was supposed to), then that food is the worst turd.
It's derivative of the saying "if you polish a turd, it's still a turd" which means that no matter how well you dress up something terrible, it's still terrible. In Evil Morty's case, the terrible thing is that the pizza did was not provide the utility of being digested and consumed. He's showing his cards here as a utilitarian pragmatist.
Not sure if anyone has metioned it but the rick we saw was likely not that Morty's first rick. he said 'High mantainance morty' when describing himself, which implies they're probably a part of the citadel, and that Rick could just be a replacement for one that died.
He did mention in his presidential campaign speech that he had so many ricks he can't even remember his og universe
something that blew my mind the most in this AWESOME episode was that OUR MORTY is rick primes morty because if you remember our rick just hopped in with a random family he specicially chose rick primes family to help track OURR rick to track him down i was like O:
You just found out from this episode?
I think this was the best episode yet
I'm fairly certain the Rick's Swapping their arm and leg is a subtle reference to Kick-Puncher & Punch-Kicker from Community.
I think there was a possible reference to the Jamie Foxx movie “Night Shift” at 4:35 as he uses a similar tactic in the movie by stringing up a wire and tricking vampires to run into it decapitating them in the process.
The crack in the pavement is a moment in time in a dimension. We are watching a flashback of Evil Morty's character development
This episode hit me with a right hook.
No One Noticed The Slide Showing Levels Of Rickism Or Power Idk. OUR RICK Had The Highest Level.
The reason Evil Morty’s lines hit so hard is because Dan Harmon has Rick’s character so figured out that he knows how to criticize him in a way we haven’t considered. This episode really showed me how intelligent both are but also how truly flawed Rick is and every variation of him is infinitely shitty pretty much
I dont think evil morty kills his rick more like he stunned him and put the mind control device in his brain. Thats why rick wanted to die so badly.
what if evil morty is the morty from the first episode who was mentally arrtarded but the mega seed somehow permanently boosted his intelligence.
May you have a fantastic day and many more to come❤🥰
when evil morty completes making the eye patch for a split second the poster behind him reads"evil"
Damn Rick really had that thousand island stare at the end of the episode
3:16 what is evil Mortys connection to the citadel before he was elected president? In other words why is that council member helping him
I think another great missable detail is that when "Evil" Morty deletes his file, his is the only picture (that we see) that isn't smiling.
Isn't the Omega Weapon from Galaxy Quest? Remember? It was rearrange all the atoms in the universe for 10 seconds (or something like that).
I've been waiting for this
Top 5 episodes of all R&M. Well done
Its interesting that evil morty origins is our first episode with our morty ... kinda shows an alternative path which he couldve taken and what woulda happened
I don't think it mirrors the first episode. Evil morty kind of implies that wasn't the first time he went up butts to retrieve crystals. Where episode 1 was the first time our morty was told to go up a butt. And Evil morty just being done with Rick's shit implies he's had experience with a lot of these tasks/ adventures.
i thought it did bc of rick's rant but idk@@danieltsiu7383
Indiana Jones Rick is a crossover with Han Solo shooting his blaster in the garbage compactor. A tribute to Harrison Ford imo
I suspect that the term "Omega Device" both here and in Futurama are nods to the Omega 13 Device in the 1999 film Galaxy Quest.
Omega goes even farther back, I'd say. As the last letter in the greek alphabet it conveys a meaning of definitive, ultimate. In the bible, God allegedly says, "I'm the alpha and the omega.". Alpha, as the first greek letter, would mean the beginning. Sorry if I went too g(r)eeky here 😂
The Infinite Scene where Morty runs from monster is pretty similar to Multiverse of Madness opening too
I thought the memory rick we see in the trap was Rick grimes 6:45 on my first watch
I don't think morty referring to slo-mobius as uncle slo means they're blood related. a lot of cultures affectionately call family friends as uncles and aunties because of their close connection, not necessarily familial.
Is "Evil-Morty" "Evil"...
Or Just Sick&Tired of Being "Sick&Tired".🤔
He's an evil anti villain. Like a weird hero
