The new Ukrainian aid proposed by Johnson will never pass the Senate so only the original aid package already passed by the Senate is viable IF the Speaker allows this aid package to be voted on.

Thanks Georgijs. As an American it's unfathomable to me how so many in America support tRump, As for mozcow mike, I don't get to vote against him because he's not from my state or district. But I have voted in the Republican primary. I've never voted a single party ticket because I vote for individuals. But this year in the primaries I did get to vote against tRump, cruZ and Kloud. But in the general election this year, although voting for president usually seems like choosing between cholera and the plague, I can't waste my vote by voting for a third party candidate with zero probability of winning. We have many distracting issues in the US. All I can do is let my elected officials know how I feel. And I can VOTE. I doubt anyone will win with an 87% majority.

It’s been three days since the big Ukrainian drone attack on Engels and other she bases. The results of the attacks are still as clear as mud to me from all the conflicting reports. As I understand, Ukraine destroyed another bomber. Even if Ukraine only destroyed one strategic bomber it’s still big news.
Has there been any confirmation or clarity regarding the night of the drones? (I think there were 90 long range drones in one evening which is phenomenal)
There are no conclusive evidence, yes. There are marks of impacts of drones near planes, but no planes 100% destroyed. However there is a high likelihood that the planes near those impacts are now full of holes. But the main point is that UA has the capabilites now to execute such strikes.

I often see “shows” at night (PVO kicking ass), and since I’m high up and exposed, it’s hard to sleep after an air raid siren. So it makes me feel f#@*king great when I hear Ukrainians are sending orc bastards running for cover deep within their own territory.

Georgijs, I totally agree with you. But I fear more and more that we are living in our cosy little bubble here (and on other pro-Ukrainian channels as well).
But do you have any suggestions about what can we do to convince the so-called "neutrals" or any others who don't support Ukraine by now?
I feel more helpless now than I did a couple of months ago, but still, my heart is beating blue and yellow.
I have already written to my represantatives regularly, but obviously, they can't (or don't want to) change my government's actions.

We all have the same difficulties. The majority suports Ukraine but at the same time they try to put their head into sand. I was last week in Kyiv and it is sad to see how old friends are getting sick from the sleepless nights. Next vaccation I will be again in Kyiv. It is so amazing how united people are there against Putin. This give me energy to manage the frustrating life in Germany.

So here's the thing. People who don't care about Ukraine either way are typically isolationists, meaning they want to focus on internal affairs while not caring about what happens outside the country. The thing is that the "isolationist/Anti-war" faction in the west, at least at the leadership level, aren't neutral, they're explicitly pro-Russia. It's comparable to how the Communist sympathizers in the West realized they couldn't flip the West, so they did their best to get the West to isolate itself. And that's the same playbook today, by and large. Actually, a lot of the older people in these groups were quite possibly involved in the old communist propaganda effort years ago.
And this is without factoring in that we have a lot of groups in the West that are either explicitly or implicitly now pro-Russian. You have the far-right, the far-left, a lot of pro-Palestine faction (whether on the left or of the Islamic variant), the "anti-globalists", and increasingly a lot of the Christians. What all of these groups have in common is a fundamental tendency towards contrarianism, meaning that they are inclined to not believe in general society and mainstream media sources because they are disgruntled with it. Essentially, if politicians they don't like and the mainstream media take a position, they'll usually take the opposite one.
That's a very hard mindset to break out of. Inherently, you could use that contrarian tendency to ask why they aren't holding the sources they follow accountable to greater scrutiny. If they consider themselves to be a free thinker, even a couple examples of propaganda could call their faith in the alt-media into question, starting a domino effect. You could compare the actual situation in the West to what people in Russia, China, and Iran live under, removing the idealistic image that those societies project about themselves in propaganda. And perhaps you could point out which foreign powers are trying to use their social influence against them. If you're talking with a right-wing person, you can emphasize the Communistic/Islamist tendencies of the Russia/China/Iran axis. If you're talking with a left-wing person, you can emphasize the religious-authoritarian elements of the Russia/China/Iran axis, like Russia imagining itself at war with Satan, Iranian repression of women, etc.
