Remember don't donate to any global humanitarian companies such as red cross, amnesty international and whatnot.
They take a huge share of donations for their own needs and there are even times that no money makes it to the cause.
The actual first place to go is u24.gov.ua/ this is United24
It is a platform presented by president Zelensky.

Giorgi : MICA-VL, IRIS-T, NASAMS are ALL loaded with air-to-air missiles... These just have shorter range when not launched from a jet fighter at high altitude and 1000km/h or more... You also have ManPADS mounted on helicopters and the Mistral ManPADS has been successfully tested against speedboats, and, guess what? TOW or Javelin anti-tank missiles have been successfully used to... shoot down helicopters (!)

Already last year, before the summer counter-offensive, when many were hyping themselves up with expectations and behaving as if Ukrainian defenders were there for their wish fulfillment, rather than for the liberation of their homeland, I kept telling everyone I knew, at home and abroad: Stop with the expectations, stop with the hype. Ukraine doesn't have all the resources it needs - it would need better airspace dominance for an easier counteroffensive - so you can't expect miracles right away. Ukraine needs to go about this methodically. Methodically and slowly. I even quoted the famous axiom from Herbert's Dune: "The slow blade penetrates the shield."
The invaders' built-up frontline defences cannot be penetrated quickly, or easily, or on the cheap. Anyone expecting Ukraine to achieve what much better equipped militaries find tough to achieve even under much more favourable conditions is both kidding themselves and backhandedly insulting Ukraine's effort and sacrifice thus far. If the west seems to have finally woken up to the fact they need to build up their own defensive stockpiles and need to build up Ukrainian stockpiles and supplies as well, I'm hopeful we'll finally leave behind this phase of stupid suggestions about ceasefires, or suggestions about giving Ukraine barely enough materiel to defend itself, and fight "on the cheap" for the rest of the west. No, that will not achieve results, certainly not if Ukraine's allies want to see a proper counteroffensive by Ukraine.
If Ukraine's allies want to see a proper Ukrainian counteroffensive, they need to support the Ukrainian defence industry and Ukrainian defence, until Ukraine has an adequate capability at defending its attacked territory and starting to gradually liberate its occupied territory from the invaders. There will be no successful counteroffensives if Ukraine's allies keep treating Ukraine like some foolish junior partner, when Ukraine clearly isn't that, doesn't want to be that, and wants to be a serious equal partner instead. If the western allies want a serious mutual relationship as allies with Ukraine, they need to immediately stop talking down to Ukraine, and start treating Ukraine as a serious equal. The time for dithering or for token gestures of support is over. It's high time to support Ukraine as much as possible, for Ukraine to be able to do proper counter-offensives to liberate its territory.

      @TimD-ny6ks Před 24 dny +3

That is one of the best comments I have read regarding the counteroffensive
I actually believe Ukraine did extremely well during their last counteroffensive considering they virtually had no air dominance a yank gave the Russians the counteroffensive details and because of the so called allies not providing enough weapons and ammunition when it was needed Russia had all the time they needed to counter the counteroffensive and Russia still lost ground

Almost as bad, the low ground was swampy, rat infested, and where the name "trench foot" originated.
All while the Brit Generals say by a toasty fire and enjoyed hot food and virtue-signaled one another with lines like " The King and I will not allow 1 SQUARE MILLIMETRE OF TERRITORY IN HUN'S HANDS! PERIOD! "Those fools knee deep in mud and other smelly items were told to wash their socks and feet 2X a day. Their own bloody fault!" "Now they are deserting over foot discomfort , and I say shoot the deserters. " HIs Majesty's Army simply never, ever falls back.
HItler failed to learn the lesson at Stalingrad and Moscow in 1942 and lost even more than the 250,000 the idiot Brit generals lost in the swamp trenches.
UKies don't cede land, they die or get to live and try to flee a defeated and broken Ukraine.

Only vaguely acceptable peace deal for Ukraine would be:
    - Keeps full military capacity.
    - Is able to join the EU.
    - Is able to join NATO (the peace deal would require a compromise from all NATO members to not veto Ukraine entrance in the organization).
Ideally, Putin's regime collapses and Ukraine gets all the territories back.
I also agree - forget about the offensive. Russia are the agressors, they burden is on them. Ukrainian lives and resources should be spared and just fight smart.
Europe needs to build the muscle to support Ukraine.

Russia failed at its strategic aims in week 1.
Russia still cannot manifest anything meaningful beyond what it currently holds in the east.
The West and allies now seem galvanised in support of Ukraine and economically can outfund Russia substantially in terms of military aid.
Ukraine has a manpower issue it would be silly to ignore that, but in spite of that Russia is still not making any meaningful gains.
At this point I would even argue that new recruits in to the Ukrainian armed forces are better trained than their Russian counterparts. That and the addition of technological overmatch will hopefully help counterbalance the personnel disparity.

While I agree they will only get one shot at defeating russia, it’s not true to say they had a shot at it in 2023. They were not given half the equipment they were promised and got no aircraft at all. They were expected to pull a rabbit out of a hat, but were not given the hat much less the rabbit, or the magic wand.
Expecting a NATO style battle plan, without the NATO style equipment is delusional. What happened last year was a resounding success, given the circumstances they were dropped in.
Imagine how much better they could have done, if everyone had followed through on their promises.
This time around, hopefully we’ll be more reliable, the Americans won’t get cold feet again, as their election looms, and the Ukrainians will be better prepared for being let down unexpectedly.
So they’ll make achievable promises, based on worst case scenario delivery rates, which they’ll then exceed, when things go better.
Setting the bar low and beating it is a much better look than setting it high and failing. Hopefully they’ve learned that lesson.
They’ve already shown they’re capable of far exceeding the reasonable expectations for any given level of preparedness, so if we actually prepare them for victory, they’ll do it, with capacity to spare.

Ukraine really needs more trained officers at the middle command levels (captain, major, colonel). They have expanded their army considerably (around 5-fold), but lack experience operating units larger than the brigade level. I know I will likely get flamed for that statement, but leading at the divisional, brigade or regimental level requires a different skill set to leading at the company level. It is these middle management levels of that enable units to conduct large breakthroughs and keep them supplied.
Ukraine does have this potential. They showed this during the Kharkiv Offensive using mostly Soviet-era equipment. What they need now is more officers trained to conduct that sort of offensive, so if a breakthrough occurs they can exploit it fully and really deliver a bloody nose to Putin.
