War situation in #ukraine
#russia will lose
Jake Broe’s Birthday fundraiser has been kicking ass. He has firmly planted his flag at the top of a very large mountain of donation support raising the bar for the competition very very high. I am a proud NAFO porch wearing supporter!!!
*patch wearing member… 😬
Porch wearing sounds Iike one of those rusky tank toppers! 😂
@@ericchild8845I wear my porch everywhere, with the Christmas lights blinking all year! 😉
So am I. I didn't start out to do that, but somehow the whole patch collecting thing has me hooked. Works out nicely for the fund raisers too. 😁
NAFO? Ew cringe alert
"Lack of resources" means one has to improvise, adapt and overcome with what resources are available at the given time. If it requires rearranging troop concentrations and/or equipment and reassigning them to the appropriate positions for whatever mission is deemed necessary, then that is what is done. Reorganization on the fly is key in any fluid combat situation. The Ukrainians have shown to be innovative, resourceful and motivated in their battle to remain an independent people.
Jake is now fundraising his own NAFO convoy!
Raised over $100,000 USD toward the purchase of trucks for the troops. Initial goal was $40,000 to mark his 40th BD. Blew past $40,000 goal in no time.
@@3rdandlong $420,710.18 now at 21 trucks😁
Amazing!!!
Jake's cheating. He's leveraging his Birthday. That's why he's setting a new record. A country's size record. When asked the world speaks loud and clear. Non the less he's cheating...lol
@@mathieutardif3763 Holy Shite! OMFG! No freaking way?
On resources Georgijs:
I was born smaller than the heavyweight that beat me up as a kid so I can equate my lack of size back then as being "short on resources". Then one day while being thrown around I found a hickory stick "resources" and knocked him out cold...problem solved.
The "equalizer" was what my father called this now fanciful concept, but feel free to call it "resources" if it gets people to contribute more damn RESOURCES.
Ukraine will always remember, as I will never forget
See the overall picture. Tennis players do it all the time. They don't crumble after losing a point, or even a game, or even a set. They keep going until they win the match - that is the mark of the winner.
Good point James ....
Good point. Mats Wilander has explained his success with - I did not have the best one shot winners, but I always played with one thought in mind. I knew that if I played smart and patiently and let my opponent work hard in every point my stamina and willpower would win the game for me in the end.
PAUSED What does it mean that Ukraine has less resources than Russia?
In the short run, Ukraine is still suffering from a severe shortage of artillery shells, especially cluster munitions. Also Russia seems to be using more air launched glide bombs than previously, I am assuming this is in part caused by a shortage of air defenses.
In the long run the West will hopefully get its act together and provide Ukraine with more equipment than Russia can muster. However, manpower may turn out to be the critical resource in the very long run and this is why it is extremely important to signal to the Russians that Western countries do not rule out sending troops to Ukraine, so that the Russians do not start to imagine that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
God I can't wait for this to be over. Until then, thank you and keep it up
You can’t build fortifications on the border if the West won’t let you shoot into Russia. Once again, Ukraine forced to fight with one hand tied behind their backs.
The west doesnt allow ukraine to shoot in russia? You forgot the terrorist attack in moscow or the numerus attacks all over russia done by ukraine?
Thank you, Georgjis... your loud voice, explanations, rationale, and especially the continuous REMINDER that none of us, the World over, are in Ukraines War Room... always appreciated!!!

You make some excellent points, man. And I agree with you. Some of the media is getting all worked up over minor little Russian advances. Yeah, it sucks to give up terrain, however defending areas is best done in specific places that give the defenders tactical advantages that ensure maximum damage to the invaders and preserves the fighting ability of the defenders forces, in spite of minimal materiel support. Then, once the flow of military equipment resumes to a level sufficient to drive the invaders back, they will have the forces to do so having not wasted them in defense of questionable areas that would have consumed them. Thanks for the sanity, dude!
If we look at the history of the second world war there were many disappointments along the way but we triumphed by sticking together!! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
"Infantry wins battles, logistics wins wars." John J. Pershing
And it's been proven true every time. It's why with Russia output capabilities, and natos lack of, it doesn't look good for Ukraine.
if NATO try to get involved, Russia will get to unlock China's might. I can't see a way out
Or neither of them do, in Vietnam the US won every single battle and lost the war because the people at the home country got tired of it.
Unfortunately, modern journalists are taught to think black and white, but keep in mind their goal is a "story" that attracts readers. Truth is not vitally important, and not the main goal.
Many of them use Google and Twitter as sources. The Ukrainian media has also been guilty of parrotting chatter on Telegram.
US political news is especially guilty of this. Bad news and crazy sells, and the news is too often treated like a product.
"modern" goes back to the 1800s with the derogatory label "yellow journalism", and probably well before that straight into antiquity. :P It's human nature to frequently act out of self-interest and opportunism. To support Ukraine, we have to exploit this in order to frame this conflict in a way that our political decision-makers understand benefits them.
Agree. What with ratings requirements, secrecy, misdirection, time delays and the whole fog of war, media coverage should be taken with a large grain of salt and the msm coverage with a barrel of salt. Unfortunately here in the UK the 'news' coming out of Russia is reported by the broadcast media as is and isn't prefaced with "It is well known that Russia always lies and today Russia is saying..."
This is particularly true of copy editors. These are the folks who write the headlines of the stories more often than not. Their goal is to draw readers in, usually using hyperbole, sensationalism, and are not beyond resorting to deception. It's literally what they are trained and expected to do. Considering how many people only read the headlines, you can imagine the effect.
Thank you so much for yout constant and realy brilliant analysis.

Lack of resources means Ukraine is outgunned and outmanned, it's been this way the entire war. The odds are not in Ukraines favour since day 1, but Ukraine has been beating the odds more often than not.
Ukraine had way more people in the front lines than russia in the first year of the war, then they died.
Just came across your channel. Always seeking truth about this war. Recc’d and subbed.
Welcome! 🫶
8:00 - here we go. I paused and answer like this:
1.) As I learned from you, the speed of RU progress is too slow to make significant advance. I agree.
2.) Ukrainians are everything else than stupid. I assume they very well estimate their position and resources.
3.) Resources are rare, hence it is unfortunately a bitter fight.
4.) Most important: I watched Anna today in an interview with European Resilience Initiative center. It was once again an eye opener. Ukrainians NEVER will give up. They are so much stronger than we believe. It's their mindset, not their weapons.
Now I will read other comments ;)
i paused too, let me guess:
having less resources also means less capacity to dig trenches?
@@luigilain5692 did you forget the fact that Russia has all of the shovels?
I saw Anna on that channel too. 😊
Uhm, unless I'm mistaken, the question was: "What does the lack of reources mean?" I'd answer:
- It means the lack of air superiority. Ukraine currently can't do much about gliding bombs.
- It means they have to wait for russians to approach. Not enough vehicles to catch them right at the border.
- It means thy have to resort to trench warfare. Not enough artillery to counter them early on.
@@traumflug100%
Resources needed by Ukraine: long range strike missiles, artillery shells, ATACMS (all kinds ), air defense missiles and more patriots, F-16s or similar aircraft, gas masks for trench warfare. I read they are getting - or have now, from UK - three 3D printers to make parts for some older and obsolete military equipment :)
I always look forward to your pragmatic commentary.

One thing that still grinds my gears is that the invasion force number is an estimate on IF the brigades participating are at FULL strength this also included the artillery number and the tank/armored vehicle numbers.
I understand it's smarter to assume Moscovia is invading with fully staffed brigades to avoid getting complacent, but Moscovia is rarely operating fully staffed brigades anymore and it hasn't for a very long time.
Agreed, it is way worse to be a Russian infantryman then a Ukrainian one, rotations are more frequent for the latter while still able to not allow breakthroughs
I'm getting annoyed at allot of news outlets saying "how could Ukraine just let the Russians walk in, did they not have defences?".
1. The Russians didn't just walk in, they have already lost hundreds of men.
2. More importantly, neither Ukraine or Russia is capable of building strong fortification directly on the border. How the hell are you supposed to build a bunker or trench when you are in range of enemy fire? Why do you think Ukraine was able to raid Belgorod?
Russia hasn't breached the first line of defence. They haven't even reached it yet. RU is about to hit a wall very soon.
thank you im so fucking tired of the morons im assuming most are just trolls but its really not even just commenters its actual talking heads saying this shit. I don't understand this lack of logic for those who are sincere tho like are you simple? why build fortifications underfire range when they will instantly get targeted and blown to shit anyways.

Some reporters have already shown what this first line of defense is. in addition, Russia's losses are too small for such captured land. Plus where are mines?
Every russian bot comes on youtube screaming about how they do not care about loss of russian lives and it is their "super power" to have endless lives to throw away for the Empire.

Thank you!
The primary limitation is that Ukraine cannot yet mass formations sufficient to break the static warfare paradigm and create a maneuver warfare situation. If/when they can, they will make quick work of the Russians.
The war will shift dramatically when Ukraine has the resources to ensure air superiority - air defence will stop the shahids and most missiles while F16s will stop the planes launching the massive glide bombs. It is a war of attrition and that means resources. Ukraine will still lack the men to advance along the full length of the front, so they will always have to be strategic.
That is so sad it almost funny.

It would have been pointless having heavy equipment up against the border, with the agreements on using donated kit they could not use it immediately anyway leaving this valuable equipment exposed. They needed the depth so they could use the artillery on Ukrainian soil.
The light defense suggests that it was more a small observation force by the Ukrainians to observe the border and intercept small russian units, once the full russian force came through they would have fallen back to stronger defense lines while directing artillery fire.
That seems logical.

Ukraine lacking artillery shells meant that they couldn't drop a ton on the Russians as they came over the boundary. Leaving Ukraine to defend with more close range defence. I'm so glad America passed the aid but if it was 2 - 3 months ago these losses would have at least been a lot harder for Russia to attain.
Thanks Georjis
I agree!
Resources mean equipment and people, like battle force size. It matters, and limits potential outcomes. Both defensive and offensive operations.

Ukraine has done fabulous work with anything and everything that they have been given
Defend every where, you defend no where. Adding space to makes an attack show its full array by advancing on bad ground while defending from better terrain. Engaging with combat strength even if your numbers are less than the attacker. The fact that Ukraine is using some of those elements is a good sign. Trading space for time to engage at a place of your choice is sound.
Your "trading space" sentence is of great importance in warfare!

Russia has been recruiting Indians, Cubans, Chinese, Syrians, prisoners. It has been importing shells and drones from North Korea and Iran. It has been using T55 tanks. Everything indicates it has burnt through its stockpiles of munitions and equipment.
This offensive could, and I stress just could, be similar to the 1918 German offensive, a desperate attempt to knock Ukraine out of the war before incoming supplies possibly turn the balance.
I always thought it was "Ukraine has less resources, so they can't go on the offensive". Specifically, a lack of artillery shells. Mobile armoured units and air support help too.
Finally someone speaking truth with reality. 🍃
No MUGA hat! It suited you so well!! Still, have my patch ordered.
Not enough resources, hat can't be on everyday and everywhere.
Again a great video and like you I get angry each time I read about the false narrative all the media spreads. Thanks so much for your voice of reason and keep up the great work!
Ukraine has no extra disposable people to feed to the war. Rus seems to have lots from all over the world.
Ukraine has plenty of people, they just haven't mobilized like ruzzia has. They're bringing more of them in now.
@@shueyk2320ok, thank you! Now off you fu@k, avoid spiders and all that 😘
"No plan of battle survives first contact with the enemy."
Thanks for the update Georgi!💪🏻💪🏻
I don't think ruzzia intends to take Kharkiv. Given the number of troops they deployed to the Kharkiv oblast, this action is most likely a diversion so that they can increase their attacks in trying to take the rest of the Donbas since Ukraine will be forced to send reinforcements to this region away from the Donbas. It is time for France and the other countries to send their troops to Ukraine. Ukraine needs to formally request this.
Thank you, Georgijs.
I came here straight from Artur Rehi and was feeling a bit low. You could not have posted this at a better time.
I like Artur, I support his work, but his judgement is sometimes…. hasty? When he backs it up with pictures and videos, it becomes more convincing and I need someone like you to clear the picture again.
Yes, I’m a big Jake Bro fan, too. His explanations of the inexplicable US political system have been hugely helpful in understanding why the resources suddenly dried up.
I understand the difficulties experienced by people who have no way to make things go bang.
Their choice comes down to hide, or move. If they hide, they’re of no further use, once the lines pass by, even if they survive.
Moving back and being ready to use whatever equipment eventually does arrive is the logical choice.
I’m much more concerned that the Czech initiative is sourcing Soviet standard shells. Those will have been manufactured with russian quality control and under corrupt management. They will have been in storage in unknown conditions ever since. While I appreciate that even a 50% failure rate is better than no ammo, I don’t want to see videos of Ukrainian crews cleaning up after a shell blows up
in the barrel. I don’t want to see their shells falling short and replicating russian experience from last year. I was hoping the US aid would arrive on time to make the Czech initiative supplies just a backup, rather than the main event. Now it looks like that may not happen.
Thanks for keeping it real.
I'm a little more concerned now that Shoigu has been replaced. The new defense minister might be less of a kleptocrat than the last one.
The assault north of Kharkiv was a diversion and of little consequence.
Highly doubt that, if you know about the Russian authoritarian system, competence breeds paranoia for Putin, because if the new Russian MOD minister is like that he got a shot at taking Putin’s job
Ukraine has a shortage of resources, so it cannot build perfect defenses everywhere all at once, at the same time as fighting a war.
Hi Georgi. From Dnipro here. I don't agree that its not scary. Its really very scary here.
While it may seem scary now I firmly believe that things will get better soon. The only reason Russia launched this little offensive is because they know when Ukraine gets all of the western aid in full they will firmly be on the backfoot until their eventual defeat. For Russia to take more territory now is their best time all or nothing.
Thank You Georgijs for your update
Great fundraising campaigns. Let us all support Ukraine as good as we can.
Great Job Reporting Thank You
I had been worried about the lack of preparation on the Belarus side and if it could become a weak spot. It's not weak, but isn't a good defense position.
Sumy, the area north of Kharkiv were under constant attacks.
The futzing around by the EU, NATO and the USA hasn't helped the Ukranian military forces deal with the attacks. 🥺
Much too little, much too late.
🔱🇺🇦 Ukraine DESERVES better, must prevail.
I watched a Peter Zeihan video about Belarus army he stated it was basically a police force not equipped for heavy combat. The Russian could support them, but they are already spread pretty thin. If the Belarus army entered the war and lost troops the civilians may overthrow the present government in the country.
@@herbtapp3031 More likely the Belarus military itself would overthrow Lukashenko. They don't want to die in a futile war against their brothers in Ukraine.
@@herbtapp3031I thought Belarus already sent most of their heavier equipment to Russia over a year ago. It’s why Russia has had to ask North Korea, Iran, and Egypt for equipment.
You need to consider that countries donating military equipment are asking Ukraine to not use that equipment (including ammo) in Russia. So it makes sense that Ukraine would rather intentionally rather not have the front line directly at the border, because then they couldn't fire donated ammo at the enemy without risking losing future donations.

This incursion is russias Bulge moment. After this, all downhill.
Jake Bro made a very good point too, the West (Mike Johnson) strangling military aid, and most importantly, not allowing Ukraine to use western weapons to be used on Russian soil was a huge factor in these territorial losses. Ukraine has known about the troop and equipment massing from the get-go but could not strike them. How utterly stupid and frustrating.
Ukraine has a lack of resources and this means that they are restricted in what they can do. This does not mean they don't have the motivation to win, it means that they are in a holding pattern till the resources they need are supplied. This also means more time wasted, more lives lost and even more damage, tragedy and devastation. At least this is what I think being low on resources means.
