Remember don't donate to any global humanitarian companies such as red cross, amnesty international and whatnot.
They take a huge share of donations for their own needs and there are even times that no money makes it to the cause.
The actual first place to go is u24.gov.ua/ this is United24
It is a platform presented by president Zelensky.
Secondly you might choose some volunteers that are helping Ukraine in various areas.
    prytulafoundation.org/en
Serhei Prytula foundation is one of the most known ones
Other well-known foundations are Army SOS and Come Back Alive

You can also see some people on twitter from different parts of Ukraine, but I cannot verify any of those, so do it at your own risk.

It was too grim, he didn’t want to perpetuate the unhappiness of its burden.
Certainly for him to be able to find joy in life again, he drew a line afterwards from which his life started afresh.

The older generations always hope that younger ones will not have to experience the privations that they themselves endured, so they bury the memories deep.
I love and respect them for their selflessness in doing so, but in some ways feel that the loss of their knowledge may ultimately be a mistake. Kids are far more resilient and rational than a lot of adults give them credit for.

I received a video the other day from my friend who is a pastor in Kherson.
In a city with no reliable, if any, electricity nor safe water, they are baking 8,000 loaves of bread every month to help feed the people there!!
Without any doubt, that is the best gift I have ever received, to see the gratitude of these dear people thanking those who help meet their needs.

Basic distillation of crude into kerosene takes next to nothing (heck anyone could do it with a campfire and a pipe). So yea, Ukraine is actively going after the processing that is the most complicated, expensive, and requiring greater engineering skill plus hardware ruZZia doesn’t make.

    • @appstratum9747
      @appstratum9747 Před měsícem

This is now accepted in an ever increasing number of national leaderships. The real issue is that European citizens are not being properly prepared for this or have the costs, priorities and compromises explained to them
The irony is that citizens like those here have been providing the impetus up from the grass roots to get politicians to open their eyes.
Politicians are frightened of the political costs and creating panic But personally I think that if politicians were sensible there is a lot of good news for them to tell their voters: investment in European industry and infrastructure, onshoring of manufacturing from China, automation, apprenticeships, training, research and development, more renewables and so on.
But I fundamentally agree with you. For us Russia was so irrelevant that it was easy to ignore Russians when they told us they were at war with NATO and the west. Indeed we found that comical. But they absolutely mean it and they are.
Indeed they openly, actively and extensively conduct information warfare on Western soil every day of the week. They try to weaken us by sowing dissent and division in our own societies and undermining faith in our own institutions and democracies. They understand that while we may be stronger economically and technologically, they can exploit weaknesses in our political systems and leverage freedom of speech and corruption to destroy our social cohesion.
We really need to get a grip on this in the social media space in particular. Social media has become a supercharged highway for disinformation and propaganda from a hostile and malign enemy. We've seen the results of this with aid to Ukraine being blocked in both the US and Europe by certain western actors that have been enabled and encouraged by such information warfare and corruption. So the consequences for us and particularly the Ukrainians have been very real and cost lives.
Russia is very much at war with us on our own soil. So we really must take the gloves off, get real, get serious and destroy Russia in Ukraine. And do what's necessary to cause Russia to crumble from within and prepare for the consequences of that.
We can sit here and wait for Russia to attack us again. Or we can mortally wound Russia so it loses its love affair with Russian Empire by solidly defeating it and bleeding it to death. And possibly even break it apart.
Russia is weak but dangerous because it has mass and a politically passive population that can be manipulated in one direction. Make it less cohesive and break it apart and it becomes like the central Asian republics such as Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Russia won't change from within. We have to drive that instead.

Ukraine was doing rotation for years. After February 2022, certain critical troops started to see less rotation, and from last summer until now, there has been a crisis of resources in the AFU, first to rally a possible counteroffensive (which was abandoned as such once the extent of the mining the invaders have done was appreciated, at which point destroying supply lines and infrastructure was prioritized, as you has covered in the past), then to push experienced people to stop invasion offensives. It has been a difficult period for some of the front-line soldiers, but rotation was always the preferred policy in the AFU, unlike in that other country.
On the deep pain inflicted on the Ukrainian people by the Al Qaeda tactics of the Muscovy Colonial Invasion Force ("MCIF"), yes. This is why so many of us - Ukrainian and those of us of other lineages but with clear minds - refer to the invaders as terrorists. "Double-tap" missiles and shells intended to kill first-aid providers, firefighters, and concerned citizens as well as soldiers are standard procedure for the MCIF. Abuse, intimidation, torture, rape, and murder of noncombatants also count among the tactical elements of given operations that fall under the rubric of terrorism. At the same time, the strategy of terrorizing Ukrainian people on their land to increase hopelessness, to thin the population of people who will resist the invasion, and to drive people either to lose faith in their government and to surrender, accepting subservience to Kremlin overlords, or to flee the country with no anticipated return date. This is pure state terrorism, and it has been going on since Putin and his gang started starting wars or (in Syria) joining wars.
The key element of Muscovite-mafia thinking on war, as war, IS precisely this terrorism, with its scorched-earth-and-electrodes-to-the-genitals elements and its utter disregard for the lives of its foot terrorists (indeed, they turn the terror on their own people without a second thought). All the other concerns, like the imposition of its regime of corruption and kleptocracy, its cowardly leader's desire to for life ruling a distracted, sometimes fearful populace while reestablishing the borders and influence of the USSR, or Putin's mad desire to repay western nations for "lies" and moments of disrespect he perceives - these things are about politics (or the absence of politics) and psychosis, but so far as there is a distinctive way the Putin gang makes war, it is this appalling terrorism I talk about (and that pains you and all of us who care) that distinguishes it.

The mere fact that the European industrial and military complex was not ready at all to challenge Russia speaks volumes on the nature of the European Union in stark contrast with the Russian Empire. One didn't set war as a priority. The other did prepare to conquer. The narrative that somehow NATO is the aggressor does not hold this simple fact. Russia has premeditated a large scale offensive, in ressources, in the public opinion with organs such as RT and in weaponry as well.

American House Speaker Mike Johnson will have a vote on Saturday, 20 April, 2024 on Military Aid to Ukraine.
It appears he will introduce three Bills: One for Ukraine, one for Israel and one for Taiwan, rather than the combined Bill that the Senate passed by about 70 to 29.
Assuming the House passes the Bill on 20th April, (and most say it would pass by about 300 to 130), it will send it to the Senate and then the Weapons could be flowing to Ukraine, by, I guess 30th of April?
Yes, it should have been passed about 3 months ago!

What refineries do is basically two things. Crude oil comes into a refinery as a mixture of hydrocarbons. These are chains of carbon atoms with hydrogens stuck on the side. The longer the chain the heavier and thicker starting with methane which in one carbon atom and four hydrogens atoms and a gas to thick tar that can't be turned into a gas. The first thing the refinery does is distills the crude oil into separate fractions and then the heavier fractions are cracked or broken down with heat and a catalyst to get fractions of the crude that is wanted. Of course there are other things that are done but the main function at a refinery is the distillation and cracking. Both of these operations are done in large tall towers. So if these towers are hit by drones the refinery will stop operating. An added bonus is these towers are filled with highly flammable hydrocarbons making any explosive hit very destructive.
