This is not a song that you can judge on just this song it is part of a concept album and we you need to hear the whole story, you are trying to judge a book by picking a chapter out of the middle of the book, you need to listen to the whole of Seventh Son of Seventh Son.

Listen to the studio version and then you can enjoy the live version even more.

Good choice. This is easily my favorite version of this song. It's been fun to watch Vin's fandom grow for IM through each video. And as I have mentioned previously, I've been a fan since their beginning in the early 80s. Took my sons (16 and 19 y/r) to see them this past summer and they are huge fans. Planning on seeing them again this coming summer.

I remember watching a documentary about old school metal and someone who was something of a metal guru compared the similarity of the bands in the way their riffs stick in the memory Thin Lizzy were more hard rock than metal and it has taken me quite some time to realise just how right he was.

Blackie Nuff Seventh Son and Infinite Dreams are the best in the album in my opinion. That said, this song does have a killer solo.
