$279 is such a bad deal for a refurbished Series S lol. People would be better off just spending an extra $20 and get one brand new with warranty
Used options are also a decent deal. I picked one up for 200 with a manufacture date of oct 12 21
I got a new one today for $269. Used the discount at the store I work at. Felt nice to just walk in get it and walk out. Feels like that will never be an option for the PS5, maybe even the Series X now too

I purchased a $280 "Like New" from Amazon. It was still completely sealed, just had some minor damage on the box.
Good deal, I find that Amazons warehouse deals that are like new are usually just returns in perfect condition

@@savagehitta2788 For it's size . It's smaller dimensionally than an original PS1 and weighs 25% more than it . It's the size of a hardback book but several pounds more than one of similar size . It's a solid little console .
Yeah, I was kinda surprised my Series X was so heavy, and then I went back to see how heavy my Xbox One S was, and it was pretty much the same. They really learned from the OG Xbox One and took advantage of pretty much all the space in the console.
I'm glad the series s isn't glossy, I bought the series s just for the fact that it's smaller and is matt and not super glossy lmao

agreed. its easier to clean and glossy stuff just collects scratches way too easy. my series S was bought in june last year and it still looks new

Controller looks good. Although I do see a scratch on the top left side of the d-pad. Maybe they replaced the thumbsticks ion the controller. As they are the most likely to need refurbishing on used controllers.

i dont think game stop cleaned it out the system still new so needs some time to build up some dust
I bought a Wii U from Ebay. When I opened it up, I immediately knew that it was a Gamestop refurbished system. The whole console is pretty much scuffed up. I hate when GameStop does this. To me it just makes it look worse, I’d prefer it to be scratched up glossy over scuffed up look.

They opened the controller to replace the two thumbsticks. The ones in your controller are cheap replacements; original and good quality thumbsticks replacements has no visible seams om the rubber and yours has two visible seams on each thumbstick.
Glad to see they didn't ruined the label to open the controller. It's so easy to access the screw without making a hole on the label but most 'youtubers' just punch a hole in the label instead of just lift it gently.
Incorrect that is a Series x controller...no replacement joysticks🤦♂️
@@bradleydahlgren6632 they are the same, xbox one and xbox series x/s controllers shares some parts, including the thumbsticks and the analog sticks. The elite controllers are the ones with totally different thumbsticks. And yes, the ones in the video are cheapo low grade replacements.
I got my Series S used from a pawn store for $250, no tax. Looks and works great.

As a Gamestop employee this packaging must have been from a warehouse of some kind because if it is jiggling around in the box, it means it was a ship from store order and Gamestop stores for the most part aren’t given anything to hold it in place in the box.

Just bought this console and I'm surprised by its performance !!
The performances are not bad but there are slowdowns in the interface and I don't know where it comes from. Especially when playing fairly heavy games like Forza horizon 5 when I press the xbox guide button it sometimes takes several seconds before the interface is displayed which is quite painful. I also have to restart it quite often because some notifications no longer appear after a while... Surprisingly, and while the xbox one s has a classic hard drive, I've never had this kind of problem with it. Same thing for the series x my friend has it and has no such problem even if it's normal given the power of the machine. I just hope it's just a software problem that will be corrected over the updates and that it's not the power that is already starting to fail...

@@shanejones357 Yeah, i asked to some of my friends who have the console and they are having the same issues. It's not that bad but it's annoying after a while, i hope soon they will finally have a real and unique interface specially dedicated to series consoles.

Fun fact actually when you look at the back of the console where the ports are on the bottom right and bottom left you see white rectangles under those are screws similar to the Xbox controller with the sticker so Microsoft knows when you open the console up or not and in the video I saw the stickers are there so I assume it wasn’t opened up 🤔
I opened it up in the video and it looked like the screws had maybe been removed before. Hard to tell though.

That should be a white controller..having opened the screws inside has voided the warranty..
The only reason why I probably will never buy a console from GameStop is because of the scratching. Also if you have a Game X Change near you, you could do a vid on buying a console from them.

I've had my Series S since March 2021 and I love it. Definitely my favorite Xbox thus far. Get one brand new though it's only $300 and you don't know what a used one has been through. If it's already being traded in that's probably not a good sign lol.

Around here GameStop made a promo where you would get a series S for 149€ + your old Xbox one s. If it was a one X you would only pay 99€, for the series s.

Guys i need help. Is the xbox series x really worth it right now? Im currently still on the original xbox one and need an upgrade. I could get a used series x for around €400/€500 or a new one for about €700. Im really considering getting a series S. Is there alot of difference in graphics and performance?
I have played in both and it looked pretty similar in both. Performance is the same I think, graphics improve in some specific areas (close shots, long distances) but in general is not so different. While you play you will not notice I think.
If you use disc's I wouldn't suggest getting the Series S unless you get an external disc drive.

@@BurntTM oh, that also might not work because they might have taken reading the disc out of the coding of it. They did that on the digital version of the ps5 and that means you can’t even but an external disc drive on that.

Gamestop is currently accepting trade ins of the Xbox One X for $280 and considering trading mine in for a Series S.
My main issue is the lack of 1tb internal storage and the lack of 4K support. However I kinda planned on using my monitor instead to take advantage of 120hz anyways
Personally , I wouldn't get rid of the One x for a Series S if you have a lot of game discs . I think One X's will go up in price because a lot of Series S users are going to be needing one for disc backwards compatibility .
If u don't care about physical games I would say just do it, even tough u won't be able to enjoy games in 4k, playing games at 1080p/1440p on a 23 inch monitor looks more than crisp enough,and I didn't even mention framerate improvements, 120hz is a night and day difference, now if u might get one, may I recommend u buying a 4gb external 3.0 USB hdd, I have more than 70 games installed, and still 1.9 tb left, the series s is like buying a game pc with an ryzen 7 3700x,and a rx 5500xt,it might not game at the highest resolution, but boy it will be a beast at 1080p frameratewise
