I decided to buy 2 REFURBISHED Xbox Series X Consoles straight from the source... straight from Microsoft! They were only $30 cheaper than a brand new console, so not a great deal, but let's check them out in this video and see if it's worth picking up a refurbished Xbox Series X console straight from Microsoft!

I prefer the series x just because the series s is all digital. And I always want discs/carts to be an option for consoles.
I feel that same way for the living room but my backup console is a backcompat ps3 so a series s with the 150 games that I someone how acquired digitally will be great for the bed room.

Personally I don't care about that, I had PS4 for 6 years and only like 10 of my games were physical, all the rest were digital
I used to think like that but even if you take good care of disk they get scratched overtime from constantly getting ejected and spinning i dont wanna spend $70 on a new tripple a game and in couple years have to buy a new one digital is so much better no loosing it or worrying about it scratching

Had a GPU failure on my original launch Series X. New one arrived in less than a week and before the old one got back to them. Not had an issue whatsoever.
i got a "refurbished" series s a couple weeks ago and when i went to go pick it up it was in a one s box with no padding but it looked practically untouched and it works as if it was new im really happy with it for $250

I love both the X and S. I use my X mainly but I travel to NYC from PA every weekend so the Series S tags along with me during that time👌
I'd rather pay 30 more for a new one , refurbished needs to be 80, to 100 cheaper, But refurbished my the manufacturer, is better than refurbished by anywhere else
As a casual gamer, the Series S is perfect for me. Got a pre-owned one for $230 a few weeks ago. Full time job and having a preschooler makes my time for gaming limited. I’d prefer an X if it were the same price obviously but a difference of $200 can’t be beat for me

@Terminator- Nah, the Series S is way better, especially if you want to play at 60fps. A lot of last gen games that were locked to 30fps have get a boost to 60fps on the Series S. Plus, the One X can't even play current gen games...

I am torn between the X and S, but it's because I have a PS5. I would mainly play older games on Xbox so an S might be a better choice for me.

You didnt buy it directly from Microsoft. You bought it from Whatnot. Its like buying an xbox from Wish. They can lie about what's been done to it. They can print off their own stickers to make it look legit. And if you send it to Microsoft for maintenance, they'll keep it.

I bought a refurbished series S from Amazon and it would freeze everytime I played 360 games which was the reason I bought it. Sent it back and got a new one from GameStop. Never had an issue with refurbished items before so it caught me off guard.

360 games? Was it all past consoles or only just that, since the S doesn't have a disk drive it makes me wonder if it's a licensing issue
@@jonathananderson1728 I tried out Sonic Unleashed, GTA 4, and Ashura’s Wrath. All would freeze after playing for so long (anywhere between 5-12 minutes). When I played “newer” games like fortnite and gta 5 the games would run for hours with no issues. All games were installed to the series S.
@@TheRecklessGamerINC that's baffling, I wonder if they used the same backwards compatibility as the Wii and dedicated 2~4 processors just for running previous generation and maybe they overheated?
@@jonathananderson1728 that actually might be a possibility, the day I got the order it was like 98 degrees out, the box and console were really warm when I opened it up, but I waited a decent amount of time before I actually plugged in the Xbox. Who knows tho, I’m still waiting for my Amazon refund lol

Xbox offers very good quality in its products. I have an Xbox 360 working perfectly since 2011.

Got my refurb Series X 3 days ago and so far it works great. Plus it comes with a 1 year warranty, so can't beat that.

Since o have a pc I might get the S so I can play next Gen versions of 2k I realistically play everything else on my pc. 0 reason for me to have a X when I have a pc plus steam has ps exclusives now the ONLY reason I play my Xbox is warframe and 2k once cross save comes for warframe I doubt I’ll use it anymore

dang my series x i got pre-owned at gamestop was just tossed into a big box with no inserts or protection, thankfully got it for like 200$
Xbox Series X is the way to go. I was able to get the Halo Special Edition last year, but I wanted to get a second Xbox Series X for my spare room. Amazon Warehouse had a line new Xbox Series X for $312. I used my $55 Amazon Credit and I was able to get it for $285. No scratches or anything. Great value.

I presumed they would be decent.. I also have had amazing refurbs from Apple, to the point I don't buy anything new from them cause I'd rather save the $$, the refurbs are always that perfect! Good to know Microsoft provide a clean system too.

They probably just want to put more consoles on the market because until recently they were still being scalped to hell and back. Can't imagine there's a profit margin on this considering the infrastructure behind refurbs. $30 discount isn't worth it, no matter what assurance is behind it. You may get a clean one like this, or a tar or cockroach-filled unit. Not to mention the stock shortage is gradually lessening too.
