- Professional cliff divers plunge from platforms as high as nine stories tall, all while being judged for their artistry as they twist and flip at 65 miles per hour. They compete on a six-country tour as part of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Correspondent Seth Doane watches a competition in the Italian coastal town of Polignano a Mare, and speaks with athletes Molly Carlson, Aidan Heslop and Ellie Smart about what it takes to compete in this jaw-dropping sport. Have been following Molly on CZcams. She is amazing and so real
Is this a re-upload? I feel like I've seen this before
Sort of. This story originally aired on January 14 of this year, but it was reused here as part of this week's episode.
@@colinroberts2060 Thanks, thought i was losing my mind
Molly is awesome!!
CZcams suggested a Molly video when she was competing in Bosnia last November. I've been hooked on her channel ever since. She's such a positive person, while being so real about that anxiety, her body image, her worries. It's very refreshing to watch her videos.
And those dives? Wow. I'm terrified of the 3 meter boards, to do 20 would never happen for me.
my stomach churns just watching this on a pc... kuddos to these guys ...wow!
Bravo to the men and women who champion this sport. As for me, I get a thrill by just watching😮
These people are unbelievable 👍 I can't imagine the rush they feel when doing their dive 🥰🌅☮️
I'm 70 years old. YOU follow your dream=don't let anything stop you. God bless.
Same feeling as skydiving. Anxiety flying up to altitude. Anxiety gone once exiting the plane. Whoohoo!
Outstanding
I've enjoyed diving from dams, cliffs & pool boards during my teen age, not fully aware of dangers, competition rules and the science of impact.
Diving enthusiasts and aspirants to be a high diving athlete must be healthy, trained by sports and safety professionals.
I get that pit in my stomach just watching this and looking down from the top
These people would ace the navy drills where they practice abandoning ship from an aircraft carrier deck.
Crazy…
Why different heights for men and women? Isnt there no difference between them?
pete and repeat jumped of a diving cliff, pete stopped to ask for directions who was left?
I have Always Wondered... What became of
AnnE Shirley Cuthbert????? Super Stoked for her....
guess she Dumped Gilbert Though!!!!!
wonder how they know to time their moves
Practice. They use trampolines, among other methods, as well as diving from lower heights to get repetitions in with less impact.
@@outlanderfrog ooh. ok. That makes sense.
Why don’t the women have to jump same height as the men
Because of body mass and the way the impact affects the different builds.
It's ironic 2:27 how Red Bull makes name sponsoring sporting events while peddling one of the least healthy things you can put in your body.
Why are the heights different for men and women.
Men have more body mass
A mistake that could cost them their lives
Yes, and?
Professionals jumping off cliffs….🧐🤨🥸
girls dive at 60 feet while guys have to dive at 90??? what happened to equal rights, may as well be completely different leagues
I wondered about that too. Of course the men are stronger, so they might have different results jumping from 60 ft, but that should be ok.
Men have different BMI please try and keep up
Probably because men take less damage with harder hits due to things such as bone density. When they hit the water it's a hard hit even when landing perfectly.
Kids do alot of stupid things. Next, a profile on handling fireworks during the fourth even when told not to.
Lol, what?
90 feet for a 'man'
As opposed to... 90 feet for a dog? 90 feet is still 90 feet.
@@outlanderfrog Well its only 60' for a women.
@@WiggglezMr Yes. I'm confused as to what you're trying to say.
MAGA COUNTRY 2024!!!
