  • High fish size average, but low volume was the name of this day at the coast. The fish where in the areas I expected, but not nearly the numbers I expected. My 'home lake' continues to confound me a lot more than it should, but we're at least pulling big fish from it at this point.

    Man, way to grind it out. Those days can be tough but then the reward can be so sweet. I love your rig. I miss my 10 ft Bass Buster. It got me into places bigger boats could never go. Caught a ton of fish out of it.

      Wish I could find a few more of those tough places to make me feel better about the nice places I *can't* get to in it :)

      JoelFishes haha. Well in fairness, I was in west Texas at the time. Water access wasn’t usually a huge challenge. Flat and no trees but that lake is a whole lot prettier.

      @@ThePerfectComboFishing Out here the rivers and a gaggle of the lakes are just too big for my little boat.

    Hi pitched to macho when you caught that lunker. :D

      Haha I have no idea why I was doing that with my voice that day. I watched the footage that night and went like "WTF was I doing"

    Not such a bad trip... and you stayed in the boat the whole time this time, yeah?

    Use your 2D Sonar to find fish.

    • @JoelFishes
      @JoelFishes  Před 5 lety

      This lake is shallow throughout so fish don't actually show up on the graph

      @@JoelFishes I am new to Sonar too, so my understanding is they show as a curved image.

    Stick to Ned Rig when everything fails.

      Weedy and snaggy bottom. Hard to even use a closed hook like a shakyhead without getting hung up. I've been determined to get this place figured out again though

      @@JoelFishes In my opinion Bass usually hits the Ned rig bait as soon as it hit the water no matter how shallow or deep. Anyhow I love your channel because you use the small boat liked mine. I am learning a bunch from you how to fish on it. By the way were you refeRring to, your boat battery or camera when you mentioned one died pretty fast. You reaLly catched some biggis this time. Keep the videos coming. I really liked them.

      @@maximinolaboy7222 thanks a lot, and thanks for the feedback. I meant the boat trolling motor battery - I bought it new spring 2018 but by the fall it was already only holding half the charge it did previously. I actually was stranded a couple times late last year, necessitating the second battery I use now

      @maximinolaboy7222 Před 5 lety +1

      @@JoelFishes Thank you for clarifying, that's the reason I asked, I am afraid to get stranded myself even thought my home Lake is small. So you convinced me to get my second battery. Thanks brother.

    • @JoelFishes
      @JoelFishes  Před 5 lety +1

      @@maximinolaboy7222 either a second battery, or get a nice big like group 29 deep cell battery. I bought smaller group 24 batteries from Wal-Mart and that's a big part of my problem.
