Wasn't quite sure if I was using my Lobo Super traq correctly till I watch your video step by step and I realized I was using it the same way you show me ! Guess that means im very good at this machine and that what make this machine better than most ! Lol I purchase mine on ebay used fairly new for 238 bucks with shipping and I love this machine ! Like you say ....its an all purpose machine .... I love it ! Thanks
I bought mine 2 years ago from kijiji, The guy wanted $400 Canadian, I got it for $200 Canadian...lol It had never been used, still in the box with all the stickers and accessories. I really needed to see this video, now I know how to use my T.L. Supertraq properly !!!
it is a decent machine.i also own a gold bug 2.I definitely prefer the gb2 were small nuggets are found.it screams on tiny bird shot that super traq misses though.

Does the Lobo Super Traq have automatic ground balance in the discriminate mode, or is the ground balance preset in the disc. mode? I heard somewhere it only automatically ground balances in the all metal mode.
Thanks. With the soil I hunt in here, there is not much problem with mineralization. Recently bought a Mojave from Tesoro. It is a turn on and go detector but has a switch for picking high mineralization ground balance or low mineralization ground balance depending on where one is hunting. Its light as a feather and has a 7 inch coil with excellent separation. Its a great little detector for highly junk filled areas. Found 2 quarters, 2 dimes, and a nickel so far at a junky park. I just disc. all the way up to a nickel and then dig everything. Great little detector for the price. I buried a quarter about 6 to 7 inches down and the Mojave picked it up with a crisp repeatable signal and that was with the discrimination and sensitivity jacked all the way up.
I just read the owners manual tracking is off when in disc. I renewed reading this while researching the machine. The disc side has a fixed GB set by internal pot.
wfletch88 I just went back and read the manual and you are right.... Now I wonder how much more gold I would have found it I kept checking the ground balance. It does so good I loved this machine and I out hunted my other buddies
this machine is also coin killer...I have lobo the last 7 years..i bought last year a nel tornado coil..........unbelievable depth,,,,, and I am hunting at the beach all the time ....for me a great machine for beach hunting also
Good review, EXCEPT...you titled the review "Tesoro Lobo a great gold metal detector" however, you fail to show any evidence of this claim! You demonstrate coins but NO GOLD! I own a Lobo ST as well as the new Mohave and both do extraordinary on detecting small gold and silver nuggets here in Arizona deserts. It would have been good for your viewership had you concentrated on the gold detecting abilities as well as the common operational info.

The auto ground tracking is only valid in the AM metal if I remember correct.

Does it work well in the wet sand? I've been thinking about buying this one. I'm not impressed with AT PRO, AT Max and Minelab stuff.

Hi, have you ever had success with your Mohave on the nugget hunt?
who don't Tesoro have super traq on all their machines?
If you are hunting meteorites in a desert environment I guess you would set your discrimination to zero?
Hunt in the all metal mode 0 in most machines still discrimates out iron
