- This will give you an Idea of the advantages of the Tesoro Cortes It is the top of the Tesoro line of detectors, and is good for the beginner as well, Set your dials turn on and go. I am not an expert there is lots more this machine can do.
Because of this video, I'm getting a cortez in a few days.

Old video i know, but i have the opportunity to pick up a cortes in excellent shape for a really great price. Never could afford to buy one of these machines brand new because they were a bit overpriced. I can get this used one for less than 300 bucks so i think i will just go ahead and grab it. Great vid!
Go get it. It’s fun and not analog but much better to use than the digital shizzle.

I have both I use my Cortes most of the time in parks schools play areas but I use myV3i out in the open ares it can go deeper with the deep silver program (for silver) They are both excelent machines and do great jobs.

As for gold rings no discrimination dig everything or you will mis a thin gold ring at 5 to 6 inches

@@joeoutdoors2299 great machine friend ignore the vdi and get used to the tones is my advice i use it in discrim not all metal and set the discrim just under iron and run the sensitivity 10 if its quiet run it just under red zone check my vids out
@@ThorsTreasure Thanks for replying. I'll have a look through your videos, tried it on the beach this morning found a few coins in dry sand and some junk too, struggled with phantom signals in discrim mode and changed to all metal which proved more fruitful, bit of a steep learning curve!
@@joeoutdoors2299 dry works wet sand does not but a great field machine for sure i just stopped using mine because of scottish weather the rain it cant handle pitty tesoro went bust would have loved a new machine from them

Really great video John. Do you think a Cortes has advantages enough over a Lobo Super Traq (i own a Lobo Super Traq and i'm really pleased with it)) to go for this one to and use both of them or would i best stick to my Lobo ?
I think the lobo is the best gold machine and does well on coins but in the parks and other places when i am mainly coin hunting the cortes is great
