  • I'm out on my first car camping adventure of 2023 and trying out a new product for solar car camping! Having a way to charge your car camping essentials is important. This solar battery and solar panel combo does the job for me. I like being able to park in the shade and place the Allpowers 100W solar panel in the sun to charge the Allpowers S700 power station. My car camper stays cool while my solar battery powers up! When I'm overnighting at a Walmart (or any place where putting my solar panel on the ground is no feasible) and need to add some juice to my power station, I put the solar panel on the roof of my car with the cord through the window connected to the power station. Works like a charm!

    LITTLE CABIN IN THE YUKON
    When I'm not traveling in an RV or my car camper, I'm usually at our remote, off grid log cabin in the Yukon. My husband and I have had this cabin for over 20 years and love it. If you'd like a look into that part of my life, I have a channel showing how we live there, lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife. So much of what I learned living off grid at the cabin has come in handy living in an off grid RV! The link is here-

    I forgot to mention in this video, that Allpowers has an 'App for that!!' You can download the app and use it to remotely control and see what your power station is doing. It's really a great option, especially in the car camper where it is not always easy to access the controls. Hi Rose! Yes, it is really nice to be at the point where companies want to give me free products in exchange for a review. It certainly helps with my not having to spend money on things I would like to get for car camping or RVing, but can't really afford. Thanks for watching, my friend!

      Well, Gracie thinks that as long as she has a 12-volt fridge to keep her cream and canned food fresh, that runs on this power station, she's in full support! lol! Thanks for your support too, lil sis! Luv yuh!XXOO

    Hello :) I have this exact power bank and it`s a great little unit, I use mine for powering my TV, It lasts forever..power tools you name it, The bluetooth is a great addition - Not got the solar panel as yet :) great informative video :)

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  Před rokem +1

      Hi Steve!! Thanks for stopping in! I agree! Of the 3 power banks I have used, this one does seem to last the longest.I was really surprised it would would run both our TVs. I don't know why it surprised me. I think I just assumed they used more energy than they do. Now it's got me checking all sorts of electric things in the house to see if they would run. Not that I'd take I'd take those things with me camping, but it's interesting! You should check their UK website, because I think the solar panels are on sale there too. I have solar on my Toyota Motorhome as well as on our travel trailer, but they are attached to the roofs. To have it work we have to be parked in the sun. And when it's hot, we don't want to do that. These portable panels are a much better idea. Being able to just put them in the sun makes so much more sense. Take care, and say a big Canadian hello to Brendan and Matti for me! Thanks for watching!

    Omg! I love the canopy Did yo do a video on that?. Thats a great idea for my van. Funny how nowadays there are so many Power stations. Once upon a time Jackery was all it was 😂 This one looks like an car battery .Wow! 1400 power surge is not bad at all. I don't use Power Stations anymore but I must say these portable solar panels are actually very neat and practical. I wish I could test this out before buying. I never knew about plugging them in before facing the sun. Does that apply to all brands or just this one? Great tip. Great Review 👽🚀💕

      Hey! I just watched your big shoe video! So cool! That canopy is great! It has legs too for the back end, so you can use it 2 ways. I haven't done a video on it yet, but do plan to. You're right! So many brands for power station batteries now. It happened pretty fast too.And yes, portable solar panels last longer if you don't let them 'charge' without being attached to a battery. I've been wanting to get a portable panel for quite awhile, so was excited when I heard from Allpowers! I'm really happy with it. Take care and see you again soon!

    The content was good, though it tended to sound like an infomercial. The sun shade served you well as even I (who has never recorded a CZcams video) know the bright sunlight can make videography difficult. Don’t take my advice because I don’t video or write ad copy, but having the cat walk through your set; use that. Just add, “Even Mittens likes yada-yada”. The information you’re trying to pass along sounds less scripted when you can interject a personal observation. It’s hard for viewers to NOT notice the 4lb elephant in the room. 😂 Yeah, even I thought that was funny. Anyway, cool power unit! 👍

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  Před rokem +1

      Hi Greg! Thanks for your honest feedback! I guess a review really is basically an infomercial. It's difficult to know just how to relay the information without sounding a bit scripted. I'll have to practise more😄 Gracie isn't sure if she appreciates being equated to an elephant though, lol! Thanks so much for watching and giving me constructive advice!-Sue

    Well honestly, if you didn't actually purchase it then your review is suspect since between getting the device and affiliate money you are nothing more than a salesperson...
    I personally don't trust anyone who doesn't't have any money on the table. So, did you send it back after the review and go out and buy one of your own? If not then why not and why do you think we should buy one if you won't invest your own money?!?
    Remember, if someone is trying to sell or get you to buy something that they won’t invest their own money into you probably shouldn't either!
    Before you 'buy' anything make sure the person pushing it isn't looking for affiliate money! Generally they will push the products that make them the most money and not necessarily the best items for the job!

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  Před rokem +2

      Thank you for your opinion. We are all entitled to one.
      You may not realize it, but CZcams is a job. Most of the creators on YT, once they start to see some definite traffic to their channel, begin to get offers from companies to review their products. When we accept the product to do a review, we are given the freedom to 'tell it as we see it'. We are under no obligation to say we like it if we think it's junk. I have turned down many offers of products because either they did not fit with the topic of my channel, or they were not worth my time to review. Making a video is hours and hours of time spent. As for affiliate links...do you know how much Amazon pays an affiliate when a product is sold through one of their links? Let me give you an example. I bought, with my own money, 2 urination containers to use while traveling. I show them in a video. They personally cost me $17. I placed an affiliate link on the video, and 4 people used the link and bought them. I made a grand total of $2.04 from the sale of those 4 items. I have yet to recoup the cost of my purchase, and possibly never will. So, as far as affiliate links go, they are not all that great. I only purchase things I know I will be able to use myself, and if I think they are worth sharing, I do.
      So, yes, as influencers on YT, we do want people to use our affiliate links, buy the products given to us in exchange for a review video. Or not. Depending on the product quality. It is a little compensation for the time and effort we put in to creating videos. YT itself is not a big money pit either, not until you get up into the 100ks subscriber arena. So we do what we can to earn a bit of money to help pay for our equipment and cover expenses. It's a full time job for some, a hobby for others, or for many, a dream of being able to earn enough to make it a full time income.
      I appreciate your perspective, and respect your opinion. Thanks for watching and take care!-Sue

      And to answer your question...Why would I send back products I was given in exchange for doing a review?? That doesn't make any sense! But, I did order a 2nd solar panel because I was impressed with the one I was given.
