If anyone should've won it should've been Ankalaev, and live watching I scored the first round for him as well but I'm going to have to watch it again before knowing for sure, it was a very close round.
Shame on Rogan for almost forcing Jan to admit he lost in the post fight interview. Didn't act that way in other "bad decisions" in the past.
If someone should’ve won it was Jan best for magomed was a draw. Jan won round 1 and every judge agreed. How tf did smn give magomed Rnd 3
@@lorenzovanstormfire3878 Jan lost round 1. Ankalaev won rounds 1 4 5 and 5th round was a 10-8

Agreed. 145 was his. You know Guru I'm gonna brown nose when you starting saying about rigging decisions I was like far cry but tonight. Damn
Guru, Jan himself pointed to Ankalaev when the results were being announced. Before the Rogan interview
Unprofessional the way Joe rogan pressed Jan if he thought he lost the fight. Asking once is okay, but asking a 2nd time is disrespectful
Agree with you 100% very disrespectful
Yep.
Joe has not had a good take in mma in years now. He’s absolutely horrible for the sport and I’m tired of people pretending he’s not
Lmao mfs love bagging on joe rogan
Asking once was pretty annoying tbh he learned nothing from the Dc interview
Jiri has got a group of monks chanting to prevent any light heavyweight champion until he comes back.
Jiri is samurai not a monk lol
@@chaoscooper9272 monks and samurais both cater to the emporer on many occasions.

My scorecard was 47-47 with Jan winning rds 1-3 and ank winning 4 and 5 being a 10-8. The real horrific robbery/rigged fight was the co-main.
same
I agree
Ank vs Jan was 100% a robbery
And Joe on the mic
Same here. 100% correct w your assessment. I had it 47-47 as well
I feel so bad for my man Blachowicz. Even after getting dominated in the last 2 rounds he still pointed and said Ankalaev can have the belt. These are two killers that deserve respect and it’s really sad to see no one get a belt after a crazy night. Hats off to both of our fighters tho👏love to all my fellow Guru fans. Hope you all have amazing holidays 🎄
I just hope people understand you cant score it for Jan. You could argue a win for Ankalaev but you cant argue Jan won with the 10-8
@@outrageous1043 Jan won 3-2 on Verdict, so yeah you can give it to Jan
@@tvojemanka Dude every 10 media score except 1 of them scored it For Ankalaev. Also try to understand what a 10-8 is.
@@outrageous1043 I know what a 10-8 is, it still could go both ways, that's what happens when fighters like Ankalaev fight to not fight, he goes happily for points no intent to finish and actually win... Draw! exactly what he deserved, that the reason why Jiri is the real champ
@@tvojemanka what? you make absolutely no sense anka came to fight
Dana shitting on the main event but gave Till’s fight the fight of the night 😂
He seems to not be very happy with ankalaev saying he might not fight for the ufc again lol

Weirdest card I’ve ever watched. I’ve never felt like this after a card
This card redpilled me on corruption in the UFC.
yeah such blatant fixing. Also Till looked like a slightly better trained CM Punk in there. Just awful
Oh good I'm not the only one 🤣
@@abyss5883 Im not even saying its fixed but holy shit we need a better rotation of judges or something.
@@-activia- judges simply decided to rim Dana today. No biggie.
Blachowicz had some great counters. I thought he was clearly more skilled standing, gotta rewatch it
I rewatched and it could be a draw at the and although I though it should go to Ankalaev. First 3 rounds you could give Blachowicz as well, last two Ankalaev, and if last round could go 10-8, that is a draw. The last round could go 10-9 Ankalaev also, and maybe round one o three Ankalaev, except controll on the ground from Ankalaev we haven't saw anthing spectacular, at the other side Jan did somer serious damage with those leg kicks and was better fighter for sure in stand-up fight. If you reatch, it was really close fight .
It was a robbery
Blachowics is better at stand up, but his age has caught up with him, he gassed out.
Ankalev had good counters and jabs, whats your point? It was a technical chess match
@@zjarr6279 They were both prepared for a 3 rounder, nothing to do with age
Paul Craig beat Jamahal Hill AND Magomed Ankalaev, if you somehow thought this thing wasn't fucked up enough already.
I'm shocked how people have no problem with Chito winning based on damage only, with Connor winning Diaz (in second) based on first rounds only, but when Jan does the same thing (look at Ankalaev face after the fight), ppl call it a robbery🤷♂️
I watched the whole fight twice and I think Jan did more damage and deserved the win if anything
Exactly, people are so biased they change the scoring criteria depending on who’s fighting
Yea I think Jan did more damage, and Dana was probably pissed at Ank’s audacity for expecting the belt after being a wet blanket and leaving it up to the judges.
Jan did more damage but fights are scored round by round. He lost the 4th and got dominated in the 5th. At best for Jan, it's a draw.
@@silentassassin423 this is a good take
And now Glover got his title shot in Brasil against Hill.
See it was better to wait instead of taking short notice.
Just so glover can retire immediately after winning the belt and ruin the division
@@matthewtait2939I hope that’s not the case but I feel like the UFC probably made sure that he will fight once more if he wins.
I had Jan 1,2,3 and Magomed 4 and a 10-8 5. So i didn't mind it being a draw
Yep, me too
The fact that it was a split draw not a majority draw was so bad
If rounds 1, 2 and 3 were all close then why are we just giving Jan all 3 rounds by default? Make that make sense. You can’t !
@@DarkCloudNC2 Just 1 was close.
@@SuperIperMegaTriper 1 and 3 were close. 3 shud go jans way cuz he hurt ankalaevs other leg. 1 shud go magomeds way cuz he landed more shots and edged the round out by being more active. Best case scenario for jan was a draw even if he won all 3 rounds at the start but i dont believe he won r1. Magomed by 48-47. I also dont believe magomed did enough to warrant a 10-8 at round 5. Magomed 3-2(r1,r4,r5) shouldve been the correct score imo.
Man Jan is such a top dude im massive fan after this week, he was wearing a witcher pendent at weighins then came out to the skyrim music GOAT
Dude is so honest about his performance, gotta love that legendary Polish humbleness
Some fragile snowflakes are just triggered by ankalaevs not relevant characteristics like him being a muslim fighter or dagestani or russian. Whatever reason might be, its not relevant. Another bad moment of rogan and dc was when anklaev was throwing punches and yan was clearly blocking with his hands and rogan and dc were saying marc goddard may step in to stop the fight.
Joe and them heavily influence the publics perception on fights all the damn time and it’s so tiresome, I wish there was a commentary mute I don’t want to hear their bullshit
Can’t stand Joe Rogan after those octagon interviews. Such a close fight who does he think he is going in there telling Jan he lost and magomed that he won.
Fr tho getting annoying
Rogan needs to go
Yeah Rogan is past his prime
Joe is gonna talk to Jamahal Hill and Chris Curtis after this and count his shekels. Dude doesn't care anymore
You do realize, Joe is told what to ask, as he's doing the interview. Bisping and DC too.
Perfect MMA Guru has the intelligence to call this what it is. It's not a robbery. They instantly forgot round 1 to 3 based on Jan getting mauled on the ground for rounds 4 and 5
Jan lost the first round.
What about Jones getting a decision win after Reyes won 10-9 1st 3 rounds & last 2 rounds jones was pressing him
U people want win for Reyes but not for Ankalaev.. this fight is won by Ankalaev apart from leg kick he was winning the fight
Bro, the older Rogan gets - the more biased he seems to be. I thought Joe was far more conscious than this. It's just so weird and out of character for him. Same for the Paddy fight. I couldn't believe how quickly Rogan started to push the narrative of "Wow! What a TOUGH fight to score!" ... and this was when he knew that Paddy absolutely did not win that fight. Even Rogan has sold out, which is just sad to see, man...
The average casual, enjoyer and hard-core are a lot more educated than they used to be 5-10 years ago.
Joe has stagnated, and become comfortable trying to be the company man. Commentary has been going downhill for a while now.
The sport has been losing its magic cus of the blatant bias in commentary and judging shenanigans. Also anyone signed after 2018 is trying too hard to be Connor instead of having their own personality.

Joe didn't do anything wrong lol, from the moment they announced the judges cards, Jan was point to anky. Joe was told to ask him if he felt he lost.
Might be breaking news for ya but, all questions asked by Joe, bisping, or dc in the interviews are ordered from the people in the back, through that nifty little earpiece they wear.
@@utastegood3353 not true at all, complete fiction all you said, as a matter of fact, joe specifically talked on his podcast exactly about this and he had complete control on what he asked. Not sure about the rest thou.
I always have this thing where I forget Jan is an elite kick-boxer
For someone who "never makes fights on the night of a fight" to book a new title fight within 5 minutes of this fight ending is very odd
Dont forget they both prepared for a 3 round fight and because of jiri situation they fought 5....if it was a 3 round, jan won it easily.
Am a Jan fan, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Now that's been established, I have to agree with u. I surprised how well Yan did on the feet (given how everyone was selling him short) , going as far as to compromise Ankalaev. So much so, Ankalaev had to chase take down. Takedown, I believe, succeed because Yan was gassed out (an affliction that might have emerged from not preparing for 5 rounds). "Neither did Ankalaev" you say, Yan is almost 40. Hence, the lack of preparation how take a heavier toll him than Ankalaev.
@@daviz088 exactly, well said.
100% great breakdown
I was thinking like “this could go either way, rd 1 is the decider” and also didn’t give a 10-8 to magomed. When the draw came out I wasn’t appalled. Glad to see someone else saw it too. It really puts the UFC in an interesting spot and it’s kinda amusing.
That was quick, keep them coming ♿️
Rogan and DC were absolutely terrible this card but that's nothing new
I was literally thinking the same thing... Towards the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th round, Jan should have gone for a takedown.
Today was a great stream man
Really weird interview by Rogan. Yes it was close and yes if anyone won it was Ankalaev but it was no robbery. Very disrespectful how he dug into Blachowicz. Especially after NOT confronting Pimblett with his very dubious win.
Bro the commentary was awful that fight easily could’ve been a draw watching live I thought round 1 went to Jan and obviously 2 and 3 as well but ankalaev clearly won rounds 4 and 5 with 5 being 10-8
All well said sir 👏🏻
Li jingliang was the last robbery we’ve seen this bad
No it was the fight before hand Paddy
Did you even see Blachovicz raise ankalaevs hand after the announcement like "you won" and anka rejecting him
Ankalaev showed no class after the fight
If Jamal Hill becomes LHW champion I’ll literally never watch ufc again lol.
LHW used to be the best division 💀💀💀💀💀
jamahal koes glover in 1 and reignites the hype, then koes ankalaev in mid 2023 and finally jiri returns and they both battle for glory as the only fun fighters in the division
@@myiqis2752 Lol stop, Glover will take Jamal down 30 seconds into round 1 and arm triangle him

What is the light heavyweight division at this point
I also would like to know Guru would you rather give the fight to a guy holding another guy against a cage or a guy against the cage trying to knee the holders head? Paddy was more violent in the 3rd (it wasn’t violent lol)
I was watching it without commentary and I thought Jan won round 1. Seemed he just had much better shot selection and did more damage. Still expected Magomed to win tho
thank u 2 my Guru
Joe Rogan is a POS trying ro convince Jan that he def lost didn't sit well to me I thought it was a draw Jan did more damagew first 3 rounds and Magomed clearly winning the last 2 its a crappy situation but hey it is what it is
How can one rewatch the fight? The ppv is only available for a few hours
fight pass or torrent
The problem with the subjectivity of “damage” is that when you have teep kicks to the gut from Ankalaev it id misleading as to how damaging that is.
I think the issue a lot of people have with the decision is that Jan literally said Magomed should have the belt and with that following the Paddy gordon fight it just feels rigged
On top of that, a lot of questionable decisions happened this year and with the growth in UFC popularity I think people are starting to question the integrity of the league
He said that because he was on his back the last two rounds and concussed... Magomed crying.... Joe and Daniel saying magomed won... Jan is just a giga Chad... Like fuck it give it to him lol
Yeah Joe was pretty impressively biased.
They’re teaching these guys to earn that fucking belt especially if it’s vacant. Put on a show, no risk no reward
There’s too much money behind Paddy. Portnoy backed him, there’s definitely rigging going on. It’s pretty much ruining the organization in real-time
Hate that. Paddy had Dana on his podcast to secure that W.
Ok Guru so if we are giving 10-8’s for that 5th Round do we start giving out 10-7’s? Example Duplesis 10-7 vs Till Round 1
It was a 10-9 mate I was coming back at the end of rd 1
I wasn't mad about the decision but Yan pointing to him was telling. I agree with you Yan fought well but Magomed could have won. I want to see them in a five round fight camp because I think Yan was fighting so well and defending takedowns that he could beat ankalaev but I get that Anakalaev would train 5 rounds too. I'm unbothered by the decision personally
Joe Rogan made a guy who had his head beat to say that he lost.
It was 47-47 honestly this was the only actual draw that was good. Yan 1-3, magomed got 4-5 with the 5th being a 10-8
You cannot take a honest take from this guy when it comes to Dagestani😂
I feel like most people forget about rounds 1,2 and 3 in Ankalaev vs Błachowicz. Damage is no. 1 criteria in judging and Błachowicz delivered a lot of damage in these rounds. I had it a draw. 1-3 Jan, 4,5 with 5 beimg 10-8 for Magomed.
Facts
What damage u mean? Leg kick damage by round 2 score is 10-9, what damage in round 1? How can round 1 score same to round 2? Round 1 is draw, and u see round 2 last minutes after leg kick jan cannot domination to ankalaev, because ankalaev not dying

Many would’ve quit on those kicks
Ankalaev was checking the kicks but found out Jan had Conor’s titanium shin bone. Ankalaev won rd 1 4 5 did better than Jan in 3 but blocking kicks like your supposed to do apparently doesn’t count against “mammoth bone” legs so I guess you could give 3to Jan. Either way Ankalaev won. Even Jan’s corner was so happy for the draw.
Jan is a true fucking man.. I'm not mad at the draw but seeing the way they both talked at the end I know who I would want as a champ
Watched the PPV live, for me 1: Ankalaev 2: Blachowicz 3: Blachowicz 4: Ankalaev 5: Ankalaev
When Ankalaev was pounding Jan at the end of round and the ref didn’t stop it I knew something was up
Bro ur content is God. Make longer content
100%, I agree. I thought it was a draw too. Rogan acted like it was more of a robbery than Paddy.
Train wreck of a PPV, till fight had me laughing at how shot till looked overall and then the paddy heist and then the main event lmaoo
I thought 123 Jan 45 Ankalaev, it could have really been A Split for either guy though.
Yeah this fight was a lot closer than most people think I don’t think it was a robbery it all depended on who won round 1
1 2 3 Jan
Facts
Jan was already pointing at Ankalaev when the decisions were being read before Rogan said anything...
And Mago had a bunch more activity in round one while Jan had fewer but more effective shots round one was close but I thought Mago SLIGHTLY edged it
I agree
I'm not a fighter, but I had a few when I was younger, and the last thing you should say to a fighter after a fight is, ;"Don't you think you lost?!" Just saying.
Either a W for ankalaev or draw. Personally had Ankalaev winning however, don't have a problem with either decision.
One judge gave 3 to Pimblet, let that sink in
3 goes to pimblet on damage. The craziness with that fight is 2 gave pimblet r1

UFC is the new BOXING
Look at Ankalaev face in 1.2.and 3. Blachowicz face was only a little red, and he did win the first three rounds, and Ankalaev won the last two rounds. Ankalaev did have Blachowicz down less then 55 seconds I think in the third round, and no damage was done.

10:10 I completely agree with you. I would have much rather heard Jan talk about the specifics of the rounds that he won and what was going on in his mind. Joe Rogan is being left unchecked.
Idk how the judges gave 1 to Jan but not 3. I agree 1 was the deciding factor
Jerry prozac needs to recover and straighten up this LHW division. Shits a mess
This is why fights should be scored as a whole not round by round.
Watching live I had Jan slightly taking 1 an 3 off of better defense and the leg kicks only cause they were clearly bothering magomed from start. Then Jan clearly took rd2. Then I had magomed clearly taking 4-5. I was slightly SLIGHTLY edging towards Jan.
nah man u know ankalaev was clear winner, Round 1 was close but both were looking to counter off the pressure they were applying and ankalaev was clearly getting the better of most exchanges plus he was controlling the center and pace. Round 2 blachowicz. Round 3 was pretty even on the feet with damage to blachowicz but ankalaev made gr8 adjustment that set the stage for last two rounds. He did more damage in the clinch i thought those body shots were nasty, jan was clearly bothered by them and finished the round with the takedown. Round 4 and 5 were clear anakalaev with 5 being possible 10-8.
In terms of every metric ankalaev was ahead. This was pure corruption especially given danas defensive response and announcement of hill vs texeira. Now shills are appealing to casual audience and fan favoritism of Jan to cover their asses, but i think everyone who knows anything about mma will agree ankalaev won if they were honest.
Excellent breakdown... this is the same view I have... but really sad that UFC is so biased.. they dont like Muslims dominating
They hate Muslims more than the Russians
Ankalaev is the 2nd best light heavyweight of all time only behind Jon Jones but the UFC is just screwing him
They also dont like Islam & Khabib.. but need them for marketing in middle east..
They dont want all divisions have Dagestani champions.. just one division is enough for marketing..
Now Dagestanis had to make sure they wrestle all their way to victory all their matches otherwise judges will give it to the other fighters...
This is very bad.. this is gonna affect Ankalaev psychologically
@@letsrumble8933 ya u right they tried to screw with khabib too early on in his career but he was too dominant, same with islam. They try to build boring narrative around them yet none of their fights have been boring. All it took was one competitive fight and ankalaev was screwed.
This is horrible for fighters in general, the message all u worked for ur entire life in the most competitive and brutal sport can be taken away in the blink of eye by corporate shitfukery due to factors not really in ur control.
But i think biggest losers are ufc here, their integrity is in shambles, its just a spectacle now, i think in the future we may see more clownfukery and real talent may go somewhere else.

I called it as a draw moments after it ended and when it actually was i felt like tough motor scooter.
It’s not a robbery if it’s a close fight.
saying that Jan didn't know who won and Joe coerced the answer out of him is blatant ignorance. Go look at Jan when the decision is being read, he himself is pointing out Ankalaev as the winner, and Joe simply pointed out that Jan looked like was sure he lost. I had Jan winning round 3 and thinking to myself it wasn’t even close. Now i wasn’t sober watching the fight either, but shit how did Magomed win round 3?!
Based on The theory of damage from paddy's dribble on his chin. Jan did more head and leg damage over all, based on take downs and ground control old rules ankaliev won. And accumulation, Very close fight!
Jan left the legendary polish cardio in the hotel room this time around. He definitely would have won the fight if the kept up the pace from the first two rounds
Jan's Kicks where Devastating
Jan is the man
Question, why Yan won 3rd? Just because of 2 low kicks? Just rewatched it couple times, clearly Ankalaev
Rogan was also unprofessional when interviewing Ankalev. He can clearly see he was frustrated and basically had an argument with him.
Man, imagine being Glover. You turn down Ankalaev for the championship, waiting for the winner of Ankalaev vs Jan, then you find out it's a draw, so you have to wait another 6 months to fight for the title (if at all)

Draw was the right call....
Even if Jan started to wrestle ankalaev with the bung leg, Magomed outgrapples and probably converts the position
I respect the pole for saying the judge the got it wrong and who won which was the Russian won the fight at the end
Alls I know is this, If Anklaev would have gotten the win, Nobody would be saying it was a draw and that jan got robbed.
The draw makes sence.
Draw or Ankalaev win. I hope I'm proved wrong because I wanted Jan to win
So just because it was close the first 3 rounds go to Jan by default
round 2 and 3 obvious Jan with more damage, first one was close, but I thnk Jan did a little bit more, so for me draw is ok, I thought also Magomed at the first point, but after rewatching draw is fair enough, both of them had huge and bad moments ...
The judging rules are very clear that damage trumps all. Top control, octagon control, etc are only to be considered if it’s unclear who dealt more damage. Round 3 was 100% Jan’s. Ankalaev dealt very little damage, and did nothing with his top control.
Round one was super close. Going by the judging criteria I’m not at all surprised it was a draw.
