The cut in round one to Gordon was actually caused by an accidental clash of heads, they showed it on a replay but in real time I was confused as to how he even got cut

It wasn't even a bad cut either so even if it wasn't from a head clash it should have scored with any significance. It was barely a paper cut and wasn't bleeding in any concerning way

Honestly the third round was really close but idk if he did enough damage to mitigate the control and takedowns of Gordon, also I feel like total strikes from the person in control are more effective than total strikes from the person who isn't. Not the worst decision but that fact that the Judges gave him the first round to win makes this a robbery.

I watched the stats in real time during the fight. 3 takedowns to 0, 6:38 control to like 2 mins, outstruck totals, out sig struck, body, legs. Then as soon as the fight ended the stats immediately changed to show Pimblett being close, but STILL not winning.. it was crazy to watch the stats in real time and then, similar to recent American elections, change the results 🤣

This kind of shit just kills Paddy's hype though, even if most people knew he wasn't a true championship contender, which he clearly isn't. The whole 'Paddy the Baddy' experience is fun, but nobody wants to root and be excited for a guy who's being gifted wins. Dana and the UFC would be better off tempering this outcome and admitting it was at the very least a close fight, instead Dana got on stage and attacked Gordon for coasting in the 3rd round when Paddy has claimed he was the one who coasted in every interview he's done since the fight

A change in camp needs to happen, take a while off and change camps and then come back to a favourable match up, it's a shame that Brad Riddell is going to be out for a while as I think that would be a perfect set up to display improvements within striking whilst also being a favourable matchup, so probably a Claudio Puelles or Marc Diakese and even then I'm skeptical
