Anthony Smith said Jones kept failing tests the week of their fight too. Sounds like they kept testing him till it came back "clean". USADA or the commission never mentioned anything about this.

It's pretty clear that the UFC only hired usada to give them a veneer of respectability prior to the sale to endeavor.
They then realized that in fact everyone IS on steroids, and have been making up rules to let popular fighters get away it with when necessary ever since.

Honestly either the rules are enforced equally for everyone or just don't even bother testing.
One thing left out in these "picogram" talks:
Jon's epitestosterone to testosterone levels were wack. Literally the same levels as a female. A male's average test/epitest ratio is typically 1/1, slightly higher on the testosterone side depending on genetics and lifestyle. If I remember correctly, USADA allows for up to 4/1. Jones' after the picogram scandal was closer to 1/.2
Those are levels found either in females, or individuals that have been using some form of performance enhancing drug over a decent period of time.
There was also an incongruity with Jon's alibi:
A fellow fighter supposedly supplied him with *one* dick pill, and when USADA was conducting it's investigation, it was given the bottle that the pill came from. The bottle was dated *AFTER* Jones popped.
The man has been using, at the very least, on and off for years. He's just been getting away with it

More evidence for Jon Jones on roids:
1. Jon Jones brothers popped in the NFL
2. Jon Jones lifts with people that power lift(notoriously famous for roids)
3. Jon Jones beat Chael Sonnen who claimed that he's on all the roids in the world while fighting him (at least 19 different substances). There's literally a promo of Chael ready to pop a neck vein and a few veins on his fore head just before their fight.
4. You can only have pico grams if you already had that substance in your body in the first place. You'll never have a lifetime natty popping for ped usage for any reason.

He got a wake up call from Ngannou (and let's be honest, that fight was a joke), so no doubt he's be working on his ground game, which is the only aspect of the fight Jon has over Gane. Jon has also notoriously struggled with guys his size, and Gane has fought at the same size his whole career instead of getting used to being 20, 30 pounds heavier.
Almost every advantage is on Gane's side, though if Jon plays the fence game like he did with DC, I wouldn't be surprised if judges give it to him if he takes it the distance

Just so everyone knows, clomid (clomiphene citrate) is the only PED to ever "pulse" in the history of athletic testing. Jeff Novinsky has no scientific, literary, or medical grounds for claiming turinabol will pulse in a similar manner. Further, clomid didn't actually "pulse" in Jon's system when he popped for it, so why would anyone ever think turinabol would? Also, if someone even has a single picogram of a compound in their system, they certainly used it. That compound (regardless of what it is) will not show up in their system unless it was ingested in some manner. USADA is now allowing athletes to use whatever they want.
People don't understand that USADA isn't there to prevent fighters from doing steroids, it's there to prevent MOST of the fighters from doing steroids, certain fighters the UFC wants to promote (Adesanya, Lesnar, etc.) are allowed to do steroids.

Chael had a great video about this topic. Jones didn’t just have a picogram in his system. He had a picogram left in his system come the time of the test, clearly from cheating. And whether or not he would pop hot in the current rules doesn’t matter because jones’ opponents had to follow the rules of the time, and Jones did not follow them

The UFC knew Brock was hot prior UFC 200 and they allowed him to fight anyways. This is why Mark Hunt sued the UFC. I use to have a copy of the official docs showing Brock's failed test but I don't believe I have them anymore. UFC 200 nearly fell apart because JJ failed his drug test so Anderson Silva came in to fight DC. About 24ish hours prior to UFC 200 the UFC was notified by USADA that Brock also tested hot but suppressed the evidence and pushed the fight thru anyways, hence why Mark Hunt sued the UFC which I believe was settled out of court, tbh I don't really know I stopped following the story after about a year.

There was a plausible explanation for Jones' pulsing behavior that didn't get any media coverage at the time. When athletes choose to use PEDs they can consider how easy it is to detect them, how long they remain in people's systems, and whether these are substances that appear naturally in the human body. Cheque drops are a very short steroid commonly used to adjust dogs going into heat. In human beings this is very short-acting, disappearing from the human body in a few days and noted for increasing aggression. Jones popped for a long-term metabolite of oral turinabol, but was never caught with turinabol itself in his system. The rumor is that cheque drops and turinabol both require the same laboratory equipment so that illicit cheque drops can sometimes be tainted with traces of turinabol. The speculation is that Jones was routinely taking cheque drops, prudently stopping them well before fights, knowing that with a few days there would be no traces of cheque drops in his system. It was Jones' bad luck that miniscule amounts of turinabol ended up in his body without him consuming significant amounts. His further bad luck is that, unlike cheque drops, metabites of turinabol can remain in the body for many, many years.
