Till has talent there has never been any doubt, but after hearing you talk about welterweight Till. I now realize that whatever success he had was because of basic Thai boxing and a severe weight advantage

His best wins were Cerrone and a very debatable decision over Thompson, and a decision over Gastelum. Till has only ever had his left straight/ elbow and then ridiculous hype.
There are plenty of hype train fighters, but Till has ridden it longer than anyone else i can think of.

As someone who's watched him since EFC , he has a bit of a goofy style and mouth breaths alot, almost seems like he's stumbling at times but he never fades completely and has always been able to explode in later rounds when he needs too, id even say he's won some fights due to his opponents thinking they have him to tired to fight and then getting slept..

Romeo has excellent tdd (Olympic silver medalist) but when he moved up to 205 he couldn't stop the tds of a bigger man. I will never understand why till doesn’t throw any body shots. He has amazing high faints but never throws any body kicks or punches only a left straight down the middle which he does well but you can’t be a 1 trick in mma.

He does against people his size. There are many examples of fighters whos wrestling looks bad against bigger opponents. Look at romero and Phil Davis, israel vs Jan, Ray Borg vs Ricky Simone etc. All of these guys have great wrestling Romero himself is a silver medal ffs! He stopped Wiedmans TDs. It's a size thing. I don't think Till would be weight Bully at Welterweight. That's just his real weight class when he's disciplined.
@@phantom_mist1726 no, it's not entirely a size thing. It's true that Till is outgunned by all the top MWs but his TDD is also just dogs***. He is almost NEVER ready to lower his base and just gets taken down with minimal resistance if any. It isn't like he's doing the right things and just getting manhandled anyways. He's just not even ready to stop a TD and no amount of strength will keep you on your feet if you aren't ready to stop a TD. Against Rob his TDD looked pretty decent but that seems to be the exception, not the rule for his career.

I question Tills strike selection heavily on top of his takedown defense, I know it’s different when you are in there but he’s only throwing 1 2s and when he throws knees it’s not timed right so he’s just throwing himself into the takedown range.

When I was fighting, I trained hard, 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Never had an injury. Was in peak conditioning. He should rethink his training regiment if he's getting injured by it.

Till fought like a guy who left his family to train hard for a fight, but then also like the guy who got a DUI with not his wife with him cuz he was actually not training that hard.
Can’t help but feel Darren Till and Paddy Pimblett should be a couple of plumbers at this point.
Till is too drawn to be a welterweight and doesn’t have the full frame and muscle to be a middleweight. Fair play for showing some heart but he’s clearly not working hard enough on working on clear deficiencies. He has no future in this sport as a contender and should either drastically rethink and retool or stop.
If anyone watched the face off,s, you would have seen Darren didn't want to be there, hiding his face, no eye contact, and then tried to make the guy flinch which didn't work, if you watch some his other fights you can see he just doesn't want to be there, but that's just my opinion ✌️

Till looked great, he did really good. In no way should people rule out Till after this fight. Dricus is a beast, Till showed he still has amazing talent. It's not black or white. It's grey. Till's post fight vid was good. Till will take time. He in no way should give up fighting. He needs new management whoever is picking his fights are terrible at their job. I'm proud of Darren for being in a better mental state and better physical shape. He needs to believe in himself more and take risks and just go for it in a way because he waits too long. If he goes he can over come more situations.

Till is a 170’er. He just doesn’t has the drive and dedication to make 170 anymore. His best work was at 170. He doesn’t has the natural strength to be a good 185’er. He’s like 1-4 in the middleweight division.
At some point, I thought Till was about to pull off a miracle and make the comeback of the year.
The change up in people's talk prefight to post fight was nuts. Everyone was saying this was the best shape we've ever seen Darren in, to this is the worst shape he's been in real fast. Darren is the ultimate copers fighter. And Dricus is seemingly the ultimate target for haters.
It just seems like a waste of weight. He moves up so he stay flabby? Why not use the opportunity to grow into his frame and hit the weight room. He has a good size frame for middleweight I believe but he hasn’t properly filled it out. Look at 6 footers like Rob and Cannonier. Even if you are a guy who pigs out after fights, use it to your advantage and start hitting the weights hard while in that caloric surplus.

Drikus 1st Rd was 10 - 9 because till got on top of drikus at the end of rd 1 landing big elbows. If Darren puts more work into his defensive grappling I think he can turn it around. I agree till should go to 170. But this shows you how much of a beast Whittaker is for a small middleweight he's a killa.

An I didn't say anything about him moving back down to 170 that makes no sense he's the best 185 pound fighter in the world atm. I'll put it another way then Whittaker isn't one of the biggest at 185 he doesn't cut as much weight as alot of fighters at 185. you will see what I mean in his next fight against stupid drunk guy Costa.
FACTS:
- When Till fought Whittaker he was in very good shape. He was also far too light and could have easily made welter. He probably cut from 86kg to get to middleweight. The lack of stress makes making weight easier. Plenty of examples of when fighters move up in weight, they actually get down in weight during camp easier. So he can make welter safely with discipline and A MEAL PREP COMPANY (he doesnt even do this). I do think his only chance is to do this. Packing on muscle wont help him at middle.
- It would be amazing to see a bunch of changes in Till's game, but at this point he has had the same style since his UFC debut. Feints and single straight shots only + heavy elbows.
Where are his:
- Lead hooks as Southpaw?
- Jabs rather than just feints?
- Variety of rear hand angles?
- Rear power kick?
- Lead leg teeps and stomps to knee?
- Body attack? - same with Paddy wacking the guard tonight, Till hit the guard loads.
What Till has or had was amazing in and out footwork, range control and being missed by inches. But he needs to punish the overswings by his opponents and he never has.
Grappling wise: He has always reacted to TD by shoving his head and arms against peoples chest which worked as a welter weight. He obviously needs to start from the basics.
The ammount of torture he's put on his body. He is a not a young man. This old dog needs a lot of new tricks to become champion. All this talk of im young ive got my whole carear to become champ. He'll never become champ with that attitude. he'll be 35 before you know it.
Darren needs to get that walk around weight right down, get in shape year round. And take a year off to just get the basics grappling down. Edmen Shabazian example of taking year out.

Besides Till being Till .. I thought Dricus showed different shades to his striking ability..the biggest problem/concern for Dricus as a fighter is his charging/lunging attacks that leave him open and he didn’t do it almost at all in this fight..he showed that he can sit on his punches and perform well, for parts of round 3 he was landing good jabs on Till..still there were some questionable shots but nonetheless I think if Dricus keeps working on his gas tank he could beat Costa and Vettori..Whitaker and Israel will be a challenge but maybe his wrestling can be the difference
Nowhere to go but up for Dricus; up to the killin room with guys like Vitori/ Robby/khamzat & the crew(I'm rubbing my hands like birdman).

It’s probably true that Till does train really hard and injures himself, but that’s just another sign of a lack of discipline. Going too hard and getting injured is just as bad as doing nothing.

So frustrating to watch as a Till fan. Dricus looked gassed in the second round and Till could have probably put him away with some basic Muay Thai but yet again all he tried to throw was the straight left. He always goes on about how hard he works but something's not right. I suspect he has an awful diet. He also used to boast about how no one could keep him down and I thought maybe the Brunson fight was an anomaly but he just got ragdolled with ease by Dricus.
Till did try and sprawl in the last sequence he just shoved his hips in first and then tried to pull back , like mcgregor but he didn’t sprawl quick enough

He wasn't in his prime fighting Dildo tickler Till so that's just another invalid point. Darren has talent, sure but thats got him nowhere hasn't it. His got low IQ and he loves to tap tap tap.
